This restaurant has delicious food and great drinks. I have been here a few times and the services isn't as slow and the reviews make it seem. It depends on the waitress you have. This place is absolutely gorgeous however don't let the other reviews fool you. The one star is because the food was actually pretty good but the staff need some serious help and re-training. We had a 1:30 PM reservation, after checking in with the host & manager we placed our request to sit outside in which they responded it would be a little bit of a wait (perfectly fine it's Sunday brunch) and we could wait at the bar. While sitting at the bar we ordered drinks I got the rosé sangria and my partner got a beer which ended up being barely cold. A group of 4 was sitting next to us and asked the host who was helping get waters behind the bar how long it would be for a table of 4 outside and she pointed to the empty table which was being cleared and told them they could just go sit there. We remind her of our reservation and she asks us what time it was for (1:30) and what time it is currently (1:43). So at this point we've learned reservations mean nothing here. They tried to then seat us at a table further back then the one which was originally being cleared for us in which we were going to just stay at the bar in that case. The manager comes back out and we ask to be seated at another table that just cleared and we walk over with the menus/drinks we had at the bar. It took 20+ minutes to have someone acknowledge our table to place an order. Imagine how much longer it would've been if we didn't already have the menus. We ordered the Mushroom flatbread & 2 Gold Label Wagyu Burgers along with another Rose sangria. They bring over the sangria and it's white, so I mention ordering the rosé so they take it back and bring back red. Unfortunately, I cannot review the Waterfront's food or atmosphere as I was not even seated on the day that I reserved two weeks in advance. I will never book a reservation at The Waterfront again. My graduation was on Tuesday, June 22nd. Considering that we were only allowed two guests at the ceremony, I figured that I would make up for it by eating at a highly reviewed restaurant with amazing views and food. After doing days worth of research, I found a place that met all of my criteria located only about ten minutes away from me. The location was super convenient, the prices affordable, and the menu had enough range so that everyone would be satisfied! I had family fly and drive in from very long distances to celebrate this big day with me over some delicious food and view of the water. Understanding that it is graduation season and restaurants are quite busy, I decided to book as early as possible over their website. I booked a reservation on Tuesday June 8 (an entire two weeks ahead). I looked at what is supposed to be the helpful "Upcoming Events" page on the restaurant's website to make sure there were not any events that would prohibit me from eating that day. Seeing a free schedule, I reserved my table and I received a confirmation email immediately. I sent family and friends the menu, which they were satisfied with, and pictures of the outdoor dining experience in which they were all excited to have. I was able to check off the fine dining and focus my time on other graduation preparation. I even called on Saturday, June 19 to remind them of my reservation and ask about the cake cutting fee. Fast forward to the next day, Sunday June 20, I received a call from the restaurant in which they stated that they were having a golfing event on Tuesday, June 22nd and will be closed to the public for the day. All that they could offer me for this major inconvenience were free appetizers at a newly rescheduled reservation day..... On that Sunday night, I was having to convey the unfortunate news to my expected guests that we would no longer be eating at the anticipated restaurant. I lost sleep searching endlessly for a upscale restaurant located in the Bronx and Westchester county area with menu's that accommodate everyone's dietary restrictions, is convenient in distance, affordable and will have tables available so last minute during graduation season. This is all as a result of lack of professionalism. If I could rate my experience, or lack thereof, at The Waterfront NYC zero stars, I would! With their views of the Whitestone Bridge and Donald Trumps's extensive golf course, The Waterfront had initially came off as high-end and polished, but looks can clearly be deceiving! read more

Came here on a September Saturday night. Place wasn't packed and was able to have a nice table outside. Food was amazing. Fish tacos were out of this world. I had the burger and it was massive and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. My boyfriend had the scallops and I tasted those as well, and they were perfect. Came here for dinner in my way out of town for the 4th of July. What a find! My husband had the lobster bake and loved it, I ordered the Filet Mignon, which was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and topped with a delicious blue cheese butter. I travel from Queens to Bronx. I went there for a friend bridal meeting. First off the place is very complicated to find. We walk-in they sat us right away. We waited for the other guest to arrive. The waitress came over, we told him our order. The food took approximately 45 mins or more. I find that very ridiculous especially if we all order just Buffalo wings. When the food arrived it was very cold. I wanted to complain but we already sat so long already and I had no choice. Fries was cold, wings barely hot, calamari same. Very disappointed. We came on a Sunday for brunch and though the food and the view was good, we were highly disappointed in the service. They were severely understaffed which made us wait a long amount of time every time we asked for a drink. Even asking for water took 45 minutes, we will not be coming back nor will I recommend it since I've been to better places with better views and experiences. read more

I had my wedding here last week on June 10th at the riverhouse. It was a disappointing experience. The person in charge stephanie presume was very rude and unprofessional according to her it was her first wedding . I felt discriminated and so did my guests. She took it upon herself to make her own decisions when i had already given instructions as far as how i wanted things to happen for MY WEDDING. I brought my mom here for a Mother's Day brunch. I was not aware in advance that this was a Trump property but it's hard to miss once you're on site as Trump branding is everywhere. The staff seemed to be largely high school or college students and I could not help but notice the skimpiness of the female uniforms which seemed unnecessary and inappropriate but the staff overall were lovely people and offered attentive service. We dined outdoors, which offered a beautiful view of the East River, bridges (Throggs Neck and Whitestone) and the golf course. It was a sunny, warm day and my mother appreciated this view most. The food itself was average at best. My mother was excited about the shrimp and grits but having southern roots, was disappointed. Thankfully I had convinced her to order it as a side and not her main entree. Other brunch foods were standard, if anything lacking flavor but certainly edible. I had a tasty and flavorful lunch today. It was shrimp with grits and bacon (cant go wrong when bacon is added), I loved it! Wow, what a lunch. The restaurant is beautiful with a great view of Queens, I was looking across from the Bronx to my neighborhood. Everything is elegant, and the service was outstanding. My waitress was the best! First time here with my family for dinner. The view is incredible and we were lucky to go on a night that the weather was wonderful. However, it was such a disaster that we will not be going back. We had reservations for 7:45pm, but didn't get our dinner until 10:30!!!! The service was horrible. They were all over the place, our waiter neglected to come over to our table all but 3 times prior to receiving our dinner. We had to get up twice to track the waiter down and acquire about where our food was. We then asked for the manager about an hour and a half in because we kept getting the "it will be out in 5 mins" bit. He was very nice and said that he would give us 50% off the meal and free drinks. Finally our dinner came out, which we ate in the pitch black. It was ok, but nothing worth raving over. We were so upset at that point that all we wanted to do was leave and eat somewhere else. When we got the check, the drinks were still on the bill so we had to ask for them to fix it, just prolonging an already horrible experience. Needless to say the staff was clueless with their service, the kitchen was unable to handle hosting an event and al la cart diners and the food was not worth the experience. Also we purchased stuff some from the pro shop previously to the dinner experience and they overcharged us $5, which we are now arguing with them to refund. It's a nice hidden spot to find in Bronx Trump golf club. Access is open to all. You park the car and enter from store to restaurant which is nice open concept with water view. This type of restaurant can be enjoyed more seasonal in Summer, fall or spring only. I went for Saturday Brunch. Nice modern American cuisine , reasonably price with $30 pre fix includes entree, 1 drink & tea or coffee. If you don't want prefix they have some appetizers & side dish option too. Service was very fast and friendly server. Everyone was really nice. We live in Manhattan (eastside) and by driving 20 minutes we felt we were in Florida! Truly lovely Clubhouse restaurant both inside and shaded outside seating. Went for Brunch; good Bloody Marys, Hamburger was very good and the best Salmon Benedict I have ever tried! Setting is great, waterfront in between the Whitestone and Throggs Neck bridges; very easy to get to off the Hutchinson, by Ferry Point Park. The golf course setting has no trees and plenty of sand dunes. Truly feels like Florida! We are heading back for dinner! read more
