Disclaimer: this review is not based on linen services provided as we had canceled due to covid restrictions. This is about their customer service. TL;DR: There are other vendors to choose from that are a lot more understanding and reasonable during these uncertain times. Don't let yourself fall into our situation. Our wedding was completely botched by covid due to the restriction in Hawaii that limited gatherings to 10 indoors, 25 outdoors per the spike in the Delta variant. Hawaii always had very low cases and strict travel restrictions to curb covid, so this came out of the blue for everyone. We had ~100 guests. Due to this, we had to make our ceremony virtual, and canceled our entire reception. This was a really sad and stressful time for us. For the Wedding Linen Company, we had already paid 50% of our invoice ($2,100 of $4,200) for ceremony chair rentals and reception drapery. After the covid restrictions, they quoted us 24 chairs with chiffon for $684, and another $250 for service fees (see invoice attached). In addition, they had charged us an extra $252 on the invoice due to an "oversight". If we had not looked at the invoice carefully, this would've just been added to our bill. So their quote to rent 24 chairs + chiffon weave + service fee came out to $914. Also, they hold your full credit card number + expiry date on file which is a big security risk, and allows them to charge the card anytime. They'll automatically charge the remaining amount on a certain date before the wedding, but they will not make unauthorized charged. Our planner thankfully was quick enough to let them know not to charge the remaining amount (recorded at the bottom of the attached invoice), or else we'd lose even more. Sensitive credit card info should be redacted on receipts and invoices. I don't know if or when they'll delete my card info. Even if they corrected their oversight, we didn't think this was worth it because we only needed 6 chairs and we can use ones from our hotel for free, so we asked to cancel the order and refund our $2,100. This is the response we got: "... Unfortunately, we are unable to refund your full deposit. Similar to the hotels, should you decide to cancel altogether, we are losing out on the opportunity to serve another client as we have reserved the date for you. Other clients have been moving forward with their events although having to downsize, still giving us the opportunity to serve them. However, you are choosing to cancel our services altogether.... although there are gathering restrictions put into place, Covid is not an unforeseeable circumstance. Therefore, the vendor cannot be expected to absorb the loss in its entirety. The client also accepts risk when booking and agreeing to terms of the contract..." Our hotel venue (who held our ceremony and reception deposits) gave us a full refund for the reception and still gave us concessions when we haven't met their minimum, which was amazing customer service since this entire situation is already super stressful for us and our planner. Other vendors were all understanding as well and gave us full refunds for canceled /downsized portions. In the end, the Wedding Linen Company decided to give us 50% refund for any portion we did not use, which we appreciate but is not nearly as flexible as other vendors. If we were to use their service, we would end up paying ~$1,500 for 24 chairs with chiffon + service fee + forfeited deposit. So we canceled and lost $1,050 instead, with no service yet provided to us. The cancelation contract contained a clause that said the customer "shall refrain from making any false, negative, critical or disparaging statements, implied or expressed, concerning the other". This is a how they try to keep you quiet if they realize you might write a bad review. No other vendors had ever made me sign a similar clause. This is a portion of the cancelation contract, there were many other clauses. UPDATE: The Wedding Linen Company has threatened legal action against us for writing this review: "We are prepared to pursue legal action to recover damages including the portion of the deposit that was refunded as a part of the executed Cancellation Agreement. To avoid legal action, we respectfully request that you remove or revise your Yelp review immediately to include true and accurate information according to the executed contracts." Threatening customers to take down honest reviews is just *facepalm*. We've made multiple edits at their request to keep our review "true and accurate" to their standards, eg. Changing "24 chairs" to "24 chairs + chiffon + service fee". read more

Love the team at The Wedding Linen Co.! To be honest, I only really went with them because they're the only linen company I contacted that had the color sashes I wanted (dark green). Price point was about the same as other companies, but you could tell they are extremely professional in their communication and brand compared to others. Their website makes you feel like they have everything you need for the elegant and dreamy wedding you want! I made an appointment to see their showroom and they had great advice in helping me choose the right linens for my event. Whenever I made a small change afterwards through email, like second guessing my choice of linens, they were fast and eager to send me photos of their products and change my order when I wanted. I also had my wedding at Hale Koa and that venue has a shorter set-up window than others, but they are used to it and made sure everything was ready by the time needed. I would give ZERO STARS if I had the option!!! AND we used this vendor at our wedding! We had originally hired another chair cover company to take care of our chair covers for our wedding day. After hearing that the other chair cover company had chair covers that were short (showed some of the legs on the bottom of the chair), we decided to switch companies. I switched companies and ended up paying about $400 more to this company for their services. I had heard bad things about this company from other brides, but decided to go with them since my wedding coordinator/florist and Koolau staff recommended them. Keep in mind that they are also Koolau's MAIN linen vendor. So, I thought, their chair covers HAVE to fit because they are Koolau's MAIN linen vendor! We also went to their weird showroom in a warehouse in Kakaako to check it out and they showed me and one of my bridesmaids their chair cover and exactly how it would fit on the chair. It fit great in the show room! It fit great in their show room, but NOT at Koolau. On my wedding day, I was extremely disappointed by their product quality. The chair covers DID NOT FIT!!!! They were too short (showed at least 2 inches of leg on the bottom of the chair) and did not fit the chair at all. The chair covers did not fit around the seat part of the chair and lifted on its own and even more when my guests sat in them. Because the chair covers did not fit, the pretty sashes that I paid EXTRA for, all became loose and pretty much fell off on their own at the beginning of the reception. VERY POOR QUALITY AND PRESENTATION OF PRODUCT! Overall, the chairs looked very sloppy and cheap! I contacted the company after my wedding via e-mail TWICE and did not hear back from them. My wedding coordinator told them that I would be upset and to expect an email or phone call. Now, it seems that they are avoiding me! They are very diligent about emails and phone calls when you are a pending customer, but I guess they don't give a crap about you once your wedding is done and they don't care much about their reputation and quality of service. What's even funnier is that they keep sending me emails asking me to rate their company and write reviews. HA! I asked them to respond before I wrote this review, but I received no response at all! I provided pictures of the sloppy and cheap looking chair covers they used at my wedding. Do NOT waste your money with this company. When I was initially looking at different vendors to provide linens for my wedding I shyed away from CCE because of the bad reviews on Yelp. I had a couple of consultations with other people, but I just never felt like I found the right company. So, against my better judgement, I set up a consultation with them and then was so impressed that I immediately put down a deposit for their services later that day. This is one of the rare times that I'm actually glad that I did not listen to the other reviews. Don't get me wrong, I know that no company is without its bad days, but in my case, they were having an amazing day the whole year I was working with them! What made me choose CCE was their variety in linens and the price. Because they are a national company their prices are slightly cheaper than the vendors that are just strictly in Hawaii. Since I wanted black tablecloths I was also looking for different types of textures and CCE provided me with many different options. They also work with an outside company that does uplighting and for the whole room it was only $300 (which at other places would have been minimum $500) and because they were running a promotion I got a discount (who doesn't like a good deal!). This just seemed like the best possible company for me to go with. Karen and the staff at CCE were always very prompt in emailing me back and even when I kept adding last minute chair covers and a few extra table cloths they were still very accomodating. From reading past reviews one of the Yelpers said to make sure everything was documented and to make sure they know exactly what you ordered and it is set up exactly how you wanted it to on the day (which I think is always best to do with any company) so when I would follow up with them I would attach pictures to my emails and I was as detailed as possible. Well, it worked! Because on the day the place was perfect! I snuck into the ballroom before any of the guests got to go in and I was just in awe. They got EVERYTHING correct and it was the most gorgeous ballroom I've ever seen! I got so many compliments from my guests and to this day, I'm just so thankful that I went with them. One pointer, if you want things to be exactly how you envisioned don't go cheap and say you'll set up and break down the linens. It's like $75 extra-- just let them do it to avoid any problems! Malia is awesome to work with. I read reviews about this place prior to making an appointment and I was a little scared to be honest. But here's my thinking, if you don't do your own research about costs for individual items, and if you look at it from the perspective of work on your wedding day, vs. relaxation on your wedding day, then this place becomes the most affordable and best company to work with in regards to linens and chairs. I researched for months about linen prices and sizes, colors, shapes, swatches, linen types, designs, etc. I THOUGHT I could do it all myself and it would come out being cheaper, which it would have. Let's be clear you CAN find cheaper linens online, but let's think about it, how would you steam/iron 20+ table covers? 100+ chair covers? keep them wrinkled free until you get to your site? lay them out? get ready to get married? break down? Take it from me, it's worth the extra money to know that you will be stress free on your wedding day! pay the extra money to have someone else do the dirty work for you! The showroom is a little hidden, but it's beautiful inside and she has a great selection of linens, napkins, sample table wear and decor, chairs, etc. I went into my appointment about a month and half out from my wedding, yes I waited until the last minute, remember? I thought I could do it myself! Malia was wonderful from the moment we walked in. I showed her what I wanted, she gave me different options, we chose what we felt was best for the venue I wanted. We rented Ivory poly floor length linens, pink napkins, and gold chiavari chairs. I told myself I wouldn't spring for the stupid chairs but I did because they looked amazing and you only get married once! (and the chairs at our venue sucked, big time, and well you're only SUPPOSED to get married once.) I lost contact with some of my vendors leading up to my wedding because of a family emergency and you know what? Malia was so professional. She contacted me and my venue and had my linens delivered the night before my wedding instead of the day of! I got to go in the night before to help guide my venue in the direction I wanted for the look of my wedding. 5 Star review for: 1. Short version: 2.5 stars. Why? They were nice in email, never rude, but at least for me, they were not the most flexible on their deposit policies even though there is a pandemic occurring. Read below for the whole story. Our wedding reception was planned for the Hyatt on 5/24/2020. Here is the timeline of what happened: 4/2019: communicated via email only about linen choices and lighting; back and forth for about a week. Signed a contract. Happy with that process. Made a 50% deposit (thought that was kind of high, but didn't think twice because we weren't gonna cancel. Or so we thought). Very nice people and communicated well. Was looking forward to using their services. 3/2020: emailed to discuss options if we were to cancel (not postpone) our reception due to the pandemic. Was told that we would lose our 50% deposit but could use for a future event within 1 year. 4/2020 middle: canceled our reception. Asked again if there was any way we could get our deposit back. They said no (in a nice way) 4/2020 end: emailed one last time because of the new stay at home order extended and we couldn't have our reception even if we wanted to. Their response: "As time & effort have been spent on your event, we'll go ahead & refund you 50% of your deposit". Personally, I feel that a linen company, who has not provided any service, should not be so strict on their "no refund" policy. We are canceling due to a pandemic that no one knows what the future holds. I do understand that they gave some money back or were willing to let us use it in the future, but I was not happy with the inflexibility. Many places have been giving full refunds. I didn't want to write this review at first because they have been extremely polite in their emails and have responded to my questions. However, my family believes I should warn people that they are very strict on their no refunds- regardless of the situation happening. Malia at Chair Cover Express is so awesome to work with!!! It really makes the wedding planning stress-free when you get to work with great vendors. My friend told me that Chair Cover Express has pretty reasonable pricing so I contacted Malia to set up a consultation. She has a very cute showroom in Halawa that was very convenient for us. At the showroom, she has on display a bunch of her linens and sashes--- it was so helpful to see it all in person! When you meet with Malia, you instantly feel comfortable and you can tell that she loves what she does. She asked me a few questions about what I was looking for and an estimated count and was able to work up a quote during my consult--loved that! We booked her because we knew we'd be in good hands. The month leading up to the wedding we had a few changes/additions along the way and she was also so helpful. I loved how she even helped me brainstorm ideas for the church decorations and head table--she was always willing to offer some advice and I truly appreciated that! We didn't hire Chair Cover Express for our wedding reception chair covers, but we did hire them for having the lowest cost in the Chiavari chairs I really wanted for our garden courtyard ceremony. We got married at the Halekulani garden courtyard two months ago and they have a very strict policy about not allowing more than 50 chairs on the courtyard for the ceremony, no exceptions. This bummed me out considering we had 130 guests at our wedding, but at least our ceremony only lasted 20 minutes at most, so it was't too much of an inconvenience for our guests that weren't able to secure a seat. Anyway, my wedding coordinator referred me to Chair Cover Express since a competing company that I almost hired for the chair rental charged five bucks more per chair. Renting from them was an easy task, I sent an email to them and received an email back from Malia with more info about the rental. This was probably the most simple task I did of all the wedding planning we did. Juggling around tasks between seventeen different vendors for our wedding was pretty crazy, but coordinating the chair rentals was super easy. Once I secured the date and sent over our signed contract with a 50% nonrefundable deposit, all they had to do was show up the day of our wedding, set up the 50 chairs and return back to pick them up. They did that without any issues, at least I wasn't aware of it since that's what my wedding coordinator was responsible for the day of. The hotel provided their own, white wood folding chairs, but the mahogany Chiavari chairs we rented just made the overall vision of our wedding day ceremony complete.I'd recommend their services for these chairs in a heartbeat if you're in search of renting some yourselves for your big day. Chair covers were a luxury we added at the last minute. Most places charge $5+/chair, but Chair Covers Express was a little cheaper (beware that prices in Hawaii are higher than those posted on their website -- don't you hate that?!). I decided to have friends and family help with the set-up to save a little more money. Looking back, it probably would have been easier to just have Chair Covers Express set it up for $1/chair. When we went to the warehouse, we compared the satin and polyester chair covers. We decided to go with the polyester because I liked the look better, it wasn't as slippery, and it was cheaper. We also looked at the sash colors -- I immediately saw one on the shelf that jumped out at me because it was close to our hard-to-match wedding color (kind of like an orchid purple). The only problem was that we couldn't find that color in he swatch book, so we weren't sure what the name of the color was to place our order. The guy helping us made some calls and we found out that the manufacturer sent them those sashes by mistake and it was not supposed to be in their inventory. They did not have enough for our party and no other warehouses had that color. They suggested I alternate 2 colors, but that wasn't the look I wanted, so we decided not to get chair covers. A couple days later, I got a phone call from the corporate office. They had heard about my dilemma and said that they would contact the manufacturer to have more sashes made for me if I was still interested. Yay! I love good customer service. We went ahead and placed the order. A couple weeks before they event, they contacted me for a final count of chairs and we arranged the pick-up time. The chair covers and sashes were clean and in good condition. My wonderful friends set them up for me, and they looked great! Shannon was very nice to explain everything about chair covers and sashes. They have all kinds of colors for sashes and two basic types of chair covers (satin, polyester). They also do table overlays, tablecloths and napkins. Everything is a on a per-chair fee basis, even the set-up. Their location was difficult to find (the new Honolulu location). After circling the area about 3 times, I finally found the parking garage, which is in the storage space facility. If you end up in a spiraling parking garage that seems to go on forever, you're in the right place. Getting to the actual showroom after you park is also challenging as you have to walk around this corner and that corner etc...good luck. When I finally found the door, I was greeted by a cold-mannered sales person named Amber. It was at the end of the day so maybe she was tired and wanted to go home. Regardless, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Not only was her personality unpleasant, but she also gave me a more expensive quote than what the Mainland office gave me. Even after I told her that I had a quote from her main office in "writing" via email, she still proceeded to give me a higher quote. And to add to it all, she quoted me $100 EACH to rent rosette chair covers. This isn't a typo...the $100 quote is PER chair cover for RENT. Apparently they're custom made so that's why they're expensive. Seriously?! The fabric quality wasn't even that great. Needless to say I did not book this vendor. $100 to RENT a single chair cover is over the top... and I don't even get to keep it. In my opinion, there are far better linen and chair companies out there with much better quality products and way better service. In the end, I booked Les Saisons for my linens. At first we went to the workshops at the wedding cafe, don't get me wrong, they are totally helpful as far as vendors, pricing, and helpful tips. But as these workshops came to an end, and meeting other brides who have already gone through planning a wedding, we've noticed that there were so many other vendors out there who were willing to work with us and accommodate in working with our budget. I asked my good friend who already had her wedding, what vendor she hired to do her chair covers and sashes. She recommended Chaircovers Express. By now I pretty much had and average on how much it would cost for chair covers and sashes, and when she mentioned that Chaircovers Express was SUPER reasonable, I didn't believe her. I called Chaircovers Express and Malia, who is one of the owners there was super nice and willing to meet with us for a consultation. I first asked her how much it would cost for just the chair covers and sashes. She quoted us only $4.00 per chair and this includes: the chair cover, sash, setting up, steaming, and breaking down! I couldn't believe how cheap they were and they did everything! We ended up booking them for our wedding, also hired them to put up pipe and drape for the head table, and even up lighting. Chair Cover Express was amazing to work with! I rented chiavari chairs for my wedding reception. Malia was friendly and extremely efficient in responding to emails. She provided all the information necessary and was very knowledgeable. I didn't have to worry about a thing with Chair Cover Express. Once I reserved the chairs, I was done. CCE worked with my event coordinator to set delivery and pick up times. The chairs were delivered on time, were the perfect addition to the room, and were picked up with efficiency. Chair Cover Express had the most reasonable cheapest prices for quality linens. I was very pleased with the high quality of their chair covers and sashes. The linens definitely made our reception even more beautiful. Our guests complimented us on how our reception venue looked very nice with the touch of the chair covers and sashes. Our wedding was on Maui and there were not much selection of vendors for reasonably priced chair covers and sashes. From the time when we first contacted them to the very end, Chair Cover Express was helpful in clarifying everything and answering all our questions. Most contact was made through email and they responded in a very timely manner to any questions/concerns we had. We were a little worried that their linens would actually fit the chairs we would use on Maui, however, they reassured us that they had provided linens for another wedding on Maui at the same reception venue we were going to use for our wedding. They were right and their chair covers and sashes fit perfectly! Because our wedding was on another island, and shipping was much cheaper for us to just pick-up ourselves and check in as baggage instead of it being mailed to our venue, Chair Cover Express gave us ample time a few days before to pick-up linens and a few days after the wedding to return the linens. The linens were already neatly pre-packed and boxed up ready for check-in at the airport. Just wanted to suggest maybe that they use stronger/thicker boxes and possibly put more tape to pack and secure the linens. The boxes that they used for the linens were a bit thinner so when we claimed our baggage on Maui, some of the boxes were falling apart. We were so worried that the linens got damaged while in transport and we would have to pay for any lost/damages that may be from airport. Thankfully, the linens made it with no damages. Also, because they have no set-up crew on Maui, they showed us how to tie the chair sashes on the day we picked it up. I chose to work with the Weddig Linen Company for my reception and am so glad I did. I traveled from Texas for my Waikiki wedding and everything was planned perfectly through email. I communicated mainly with Kandis, but Alissa, Paulette and Malia were also very helpful. I am pretty indecisive, but they were all so patient and gave great advice to me for color scheme and decor. Email replies were very prompt! I rented chiavari chairs and linens for guest tables, cake table and my sweetheart table. I also did pipe and drape on one of my walls and it was beautiful! Chair covers hawaii was awesome to work with. We rented cotton beige table covers. It was really difficult to find table covers that were not shiny in Oahu to match our vintage theme. I'm so glad we found them with chair covers hawaii. Malia was very helpful, easy to work with, and very professional. They coordinated with JW Marriott Ihilani when the tables were ready and Malia's team set up the covers days ahead of time. They also took care of breakdown for us. Chair Covers Express did an amazing job covering the chairs and helping to decorate my reception room for my wedding on 8/8/13. Malia was so nice and helpful and assisted me with the entire process. I was planning my wedding on Oahu all the way from Vegas so it was great to have that email contact. I was hesitant to rent linens and furniture due to the cost but I am SO glad we went to The Wedding Linen Company. Their showroom is gorgeous and their staff are wonderful. We rented white linens for our tables and selected assorted napkins which made our tables look amazing on the night. We also ended up renting some additional lounges and cocktails tables too which ended up being a great idea and let the guests relax and enjoy the atmosphere in comfort. They seem professional via email, but during our first appointment we felt a little rushed to choose our linens and they weren't very helpful in answering our questions, we also felt they were a little rude to us. When I tried to make a second appointment, they said second appointments are for serious customers only and required a commitment of 50% down payment. This wasn't mentioned on their website or during our appointment, so not really sure how ppl are suppose to know this. In the end, we decided to rent our linens from our party rental company. The linens are just as nice and MUCH cheaper, plus it was a lot easier since we were renting other items like tent, tables, etc. read more
