My first time at The Wedge was amazing all around! My friends and I came on a Wednesday night and the servers were all super kind, knowledgeable, and patient as we arrived late to our reservation. They were also so kind to give me a complimentary glass of prosecco to celebrate my birthday. Wednesdays are $2 off all cider and wines so my friends enjoyed that deal as well. The Wedge changes their menu on a weekly basis so I was excited to see what was on this weeks menu so naturally we had to get multiple dishes to share in order to try as much as possible. We ordered two pasta dishes, truffle fries for the table, and brussel sprouts to share family style and we didn't leave a crumb behind! All the dishes were more unique than a typical pasta dish you may find elsewhere which was extra fun and soo delicious! The brussels were so soft and topped with so much flavor. I would love to come again to try their brunch menu and continue coming throughout the year to try many new items as their menu rotates. I really wanted to try their mac and cheese so I am determined to come back at the right time for that one! read more

I'm a bit late to trying out The Wedge and I regret not going sooner. Went for their Pre-fix Valentines Day menu. Everything we got was delightful. Cocktails were imaginative with a wide variety. Personally tried to Ceasar Salad Martini for something different and the Berry the Hatchett for my favorite kinda of of cocktail. Spicy! Loved both. Ceasar Salad Martini truly tasted like a light ceasar salad. All the food was fantastic, shrimp bisque, poached pear salad, steak with fabulous mashed potatoes, and one of the best lava cakes I've ever had and a shockingly good combo of Basque cheesecake and blood orange. Beer recommendation: C4 Curtailed, unique, cozy, decadent. The curd nerd seems to know how to put a menu together, and did I see one of Defi's managers running the bar? Then yes, they know how to put together a complete establishment. Excellent food, both rich and indulgent along with delicate but powerful dishes. Here's a game: if you pick an appetizer, then I'd bet the only other spots you'd consider as good or better would be some of the best spots in the city. Now do that for salads. Their bisques. Their entrees. The menu's compact, but everything will hit your palate and reward you for slowing down to enjoy it. Cozy... like you pulled on a decent sweater to brave our winters. Like you sit down at a table that looks like it belongs in someone's house. With staff that make you feel like you're at that house. Like I should have brought that book to go with these olives. We also tried "Have You Bean to Rio?" and the Sangria of the Moment, which was white with cranberry and bubbles and so good. The Wedge is Sarah Simiele's second cheese-centric business, as you might know her from The Curd Nerd, the small gourmet cheese shop next door. After winning the top cheese competition in the country and turning her shop into a destination for cheese lovers, Simiele decided to expand her business by adding a sit-down, cheese-focused restaurant in April of 2025. Simiele put out a call for thrifted items to decorate the restaurant, and customers showed up with everything from silverware to tables and chairs - the mirror came out of someones bedroom, the U-shaped bar was salvaged from a neighbors basement. The walls are lined with dairy and cheese themed artwork and the bathrooms are labeled Olives and Pickles. I recently visited the Wedge with my wife and some friends and we were all very excited to give it a try, cause who doesn't love the idea of a cheese-centric restaurant? We made reservations for 7PM on a Saturday. Easy on street parking, we were sat immediately and given our menus. The Wedge changes their menu seasonally, and the first thing that stood out to me was that they had mocktails on their menu. As someone who doesn't drink I always appreciate a restaurant that serves mocktails. I ordered a mocktail I can't quite remember the name of, but it was plum flavored and very tasty. The rest of my party all ordered cocktails and were also happy with their drinks. We then all ordered our dishes and unfortunately this is where it fell flat for us. We ordered one of the mac & cheese of the day for the table to share - the servers description sounded delicious. I ordered their risotto, my wife ordered a red sauce pasta dish, and our friends ordered a seafood pasta and a duck dish, respectively. Our food was cooked quickly, but we were all a little disappointed with it. The one thing that we all said, for every dish, from the mac and cheese for the table to our individual mains - not enough cheese. It just kinda blew our minds that we were at a cheese-focused restaurant and not one dish had enough cheese flavor. The pasta that was used in both the mac and cheese and my wife's dish were different, but we really liked them, and my friend who ordered the duck said his was cooked perfectly. I finally got a chance to eat at The Wedge on 5/22. It's a new place on James St, a cheese-centric restaurant opened in tandem with The Curd Nerd. I started with a Golden Hour cocktail. It's not sweet, perfect for me! My entree was Caramelle. It's a nice blend of gorganzolla stuffed pasta with sautéed shallots and spinach, with a beautiful green sauce. The flavors were wonderful. The shallots were large sautéed rings that competed with the pasta. I would have preferred they be caramelized or diced to complement the texture of the pasta. I ate at the bar and enjoyed visiting with the bar tender and my neighbors to the side. Service was friendly and food came out pretty quickly. A new, amazing brunch spot in Cuse! I love that it's laid back, casual vibes, but not a diner. It's also not super loud, which can be under-appreciated. They do serve cocktails and have somewhat of an unlimited mimosa option. I wish the espresso martini was made with espresso vs cold brew, that would be the one pitfall of our visit. They rotate the menu weekly, so there are always new options. Don't come with your sights set on one dish! The deviled eggs were delicious. They made a Greek flavor that was perfect. The Wedge is a cheese focused restaurant. Similar to some other greats in the area they keep the same menu structure from week to week but will vary the dish. There will be a cheese plate, a wedge salad, a chicken of some kind, mac n' cheese, etc, but what goes into it will change. My favorite thing has been the pastry option from the Starters portion. The gallette and phyllo pie I have had have been incredible - a soft cheese overflowing out from the pastry, combined with cooked fruit flavors. It's flakey, sweet, and just savory enough. The greens I've had have been good, and the soup I had recently had me savoring every bite. The pasta is....well just get it. They specifically have a pasta night on Wednesdays if you want to super cheese-carb it out. I'm not much of a Mac n cheese person so I admit I was meh on theirs but I am the oddball who prefers the violently orange boxed stuff. Like the rest of the menu the beverage menu changes regularly. It will be creative and seasonal, and the bartenders will even make custom drinks based on a prompt you give them. If you're a hard cider nerd this place is for you- they have some super interesting more-than-just-sweet options that can give wines a run for their money. Service is good. If you nab one of the limited bar seats the bartenders are particularly fun to watch to see what they're concocting. I thought the noise level was fine and conversational even on a busy Saturday night. The interior design is a collection - tables, chairs, and tableware literally collected from the Eastwood community the restaurant resides in. It is a smaller restaurant so reservations are strongly recommended. The bathroom I used was large, had a fun olive and cheese mural, and seemed like it may be good for those who use mobility devices. Parking - for cars it's street parking. Mind the signs though! The drinks were a little wild with cacio e Pepe and mushroom gin but the white sangria was amazing. We got the pimento cheese dip, fries, grilled cheese, Brussels sprouts, and Mac and cheese all to share. The pimento cheese was definitely the winner with the fries a close second. The Mac and cheese was slightly underwhelming with the noodles being kind of soggy and the cheese not having much flavor. The food menu rotates frequently. We ordered the deviled egg appetizer which was delicious!! The server told me that they switch the flavors in that app frequently as well. Due to some poor scheduling on my part, I was on a huge time crunch and needed to leave much earlier than my family. I told our server this, and she was still able to get me poached eggs and sausage super quickly so I could eat before I had to leave. I really appreciate how accommodating they were. Great food and drinks, friendly service, pleasant environment, pretty low-key and not too pricey, especially for what you get. My sweetie and I went down to The Wedge, the new cheese-based bar in Eastwood last night, and had a great time. It's a very low-key place, with thoughtful, tasty food and friendly service. They have four beers on tap, with, unusually, half pours at exactly half the price of a full pour. I started out with a nice sour from Talking Cursive, and my sweetie had a "Just a Fungi" cocktail with mushroom gin. I had the watermelon gazpacho, which turned out have a pretty spicy finish (which the menu didn't really explain), but good veggie flavor. My partner had the enormous "Wedge Salad", with a nicely arranged halo of greens and a huge dollop of super-tasty blue cheese dressing in the middle. We both had plenty of the salad, and barely finished it. I then moved on to a tangerine wheat from Mieir's Creek and my partner tried a Spa Martini with feta brine that totally rocked her world (and she's an enthusiastic martini drinker and maker). My sweetie had the smoked fish appetizer as a main, which turned out to be wonderful. The trout rillettes rocked, with plenty of flavor on the crunchy toasted bread, and the smoked salmon was top notch. I was so delighted with my mac and cheese with toma and cheddar that I begged for a taste of the toma. I explained that I understood it was a Friday night, and I understood if they were too busy, but it turned out that someone from the kitchen popped next door to Curd Nerd to get me a couple small slices, despite the full dining room! The toma was soft and tender and sharp and fabulous -- not at all what I would've assumed would make such a tasty mac and cheese. The sauce was on what I think was mafalda and maybe sagnarelli (small rectangles) pasta, although apparently it varies by week. After all that, we had no room for any of the three desserts, but we'll definitely be back soon. So many things on the menu looked like they were worth a try! Service was super-attentive and very friendly (witness my taste of toma). We never felt rushed, but everything was beautifully paced so we had plenty of food and drink and were able to leave promptly when we wanted (and it looked like they were fine with folks who don't have an hour drive home dawdling over their dinner). It's a fun room with some nice art and the music of my youth (rather vintage) playing, but this is already way too long a post! read more

This is such a cute cheese centric restaurant, the place felt cozy and inviting when you walk in. We were greeted by the owner Sarah and brought to our table. We were sat at their community table, which is just a long table I think with 12 chairs. I know some might not enjoy that(too close for comfort lol) but my husband and I did not mind it (he's a talker ). From drinks, small plates, entrees and desserts everything came out in a timely manner. My husband and I loved everything we ordered, my husband even enjoyed the galette for it having goat cheese(ya know it can be funky but not this one). I've been interested in going here ever since it opened. I'm a big cheese lover so this sounded right up my alley. We went on Sunday so they have their brunch menu. There are sample menus on the website but certain dishes change daily or weekly. Parking is only street parking but it wasn't too busy to find something easily. The restaurant is small but very cozy and homey feeling. The women who greeted us and sat us I think is the owner and she was super friendly. I did make a reservation but it seemed like they could have been able to take a walk in at the moment if needed. Our waitress quickly got our drink order and then gave us some time to look at the menu. We got some shared plates to start with the parmesan fries and a cheese plate. The fries were very crispy and good and the cheese plate included 3 types of cheese, some crackers, a house made peach chamomile jam, almonds, apricots, and optionally some meats too. The jam was delicious and i was disappointed they didn't have more in the shop next door for sale. They have a daily mac and cheese which was featuring raclette and i think 2 types of cheddar. My family went with the mac and cheese so I went the sweet route with the french toast bake after i was promised a bite of the mac. Once everything arrived it was delicious. The french toast was really sweet with orange throughout it too. The mac was flavorful and the sauce was smooth and creamy. The portions weren't huge but ended up being pretty perfect for us. Afterwards we went to the cheese shop next door where they let us sample some of the by the lb cheeses and we ended up buying multiple cheeses and other snacks.
