Coppertop Tavern on Erie Boulevard was a spot I really enjoyed. It's funny because I didn't even realize they had opened this location. I remember when it used to be Ruby Tuesday's back in the day, so I think this is a nice upgrade and a great addition to the Boulevard. Inside it feels really comfortable and inviting. It's definitely a good place to sit at the bar for drinks with friends, but also works well if you want to grab dinner at a table with family. I tried the pizza and enjoyed it. The salad was good overall, although I was not the biggest fan of the Caesar dressing. The chicken on top was super soft and flavorful, which made up for it. The cheesy toast, though, was absolutely to die for. I really enjoyed that. I will definitely be coming back when I am in town to grab drinks and appetizers with friends. read more

Had a nice lunch at this fairly new location. We were seated and served fairly quickly I ordered the lunch pizza and salad combo, which is my go-to at the Milton Ave location. I got the chicken Milanese. I was not impressed. Was breaded, pretty dry chicken, next to no sauce and completely covered in lettuce to the point it was too much lettuce. Just like the other locations, you can count on a diverse menu of food that people really enjoy, drinks, and management who somehow know how to run a profitable restaurant. As always the staff is great, parking is not a problem, and there is the usual selection of decor & televisions. Be sure to try the "Weight Loss Fries" as the tiny stick fries are called. Paradoxically, you can lose weight eating these fries as it takes more energy to lift each fry to your mouth than the fry delivers in caloric value! For those too young to have enjoyed Shoestring Fries in a Can, just let these tiny fries cool off for that potato stix nostalgia. I included a photo of the receipt to share the shocking price of a soda. Almost $4 for a glass of fountain Pepsi? That's an obscene markup that needs to be corrected. I agree with the other reviews that mention how loud the music is. As you approach the front door, it's blaring outside. Inside, you can hear the music over everyone talking. Of course they're all talking loudly to hear each other over the music. It's unpleasant. The waiting area has a single bench which seats two adults. Maybe they weren't planning on being popular enough to need more? Overall, definitely recommend for the food & the service. A couple tweaks and it would be perfect. read more

This restaurant just opened recently in this location. Three of us arrived at 5:15 PM, for an early dinner (to avoid a large crowd). The interior is not overly bright, but lit well enough to be able to see the menu without straining. We were seated promptly, and were soon met by our waitress. The whole staff was on the younger side, and we're all friendly and attentive. We ordered the "Sausage bread" (served with a dish of red sauce on the side) for an appetizer. There was PLENTY for the three of us, and it was delicious! Both of my dinner companions ordered the Riggies, and I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. All of our plates were large, and loaded with food. My chicken parm had a nice little crunch from the breading, and was tender and tasty. The red sauce had a hint of sweetness to it, which I really enjoyed. The pasta that came along with the meal was also good. My two companions both enjoyed their riggies, along with the garlic bread that came with their meals. There was so much food, we all took leftovers home with us. On our way out, there was a LOT of customers inside the restaurant, and even more people standing in the front doorway, AND out in front of the building, waiting to get in. This review is not an indictment on this particular location, but the chain as a whole. The staff are attentive, kind, and just generally wonderful. My issue is specifically with the corporate decision to use slop ingredients. I ordered broccoli as a side, but it was quite clearly from a frozen bag (this did not used to be the case). I expressed my surprise as it used to be fresh. Manager approached and did their best with free dessert and what not, but ultimately said this was how it is now. This falls in line with the hot honey chicken sandwich that arrived on a stale bun, a sad, thin, oily piece of cheese, and two gritty, nearly transparent pieces of "bacon". I have enjoyed coppertop for a decade now whenever i was near the north syracuse location, sad that there wasn't one nearby. Now one is near, and I find their source for food is borderline criminal now. Words of advice if you go: Do not order anything with veggies. Do not order anything with bacon. Do not order anything with bread. Not sure what that leaves?? Again...staff were absolutely delightful. They are the only saving grace from a 1 star. read more

My wife and I had lunch at the CopperTop in Dewitt on St Patrick's Day. I've never been to a CopperTop but have heard good things about it. We had the Irish egg rolls which were very good. I had the Irish stew and she had a Reuben sandwich that she only ate a quarter of. Everything was going great until the end. Not able to finish our meals we got to go boxes. Not sure what caused it but suddenly my wife's sandwich is on her seat and floor. She looked like she wanted to cry. The waitress Taylor rushed over to help clean up the mess. A second waitress also can to help. As we sat there in disbelief the manager Bridget came over to check on us because of what happened. Then she set a complete Ruben sandwich and fries on the table. No charge. Unbelievable. She didn't have to do that. It wasn't the restaurant's fault. So job well done CopperTop. We will be telling people about our experience and will definitely return. I hope other restaurants see this and follow suite. read more
