Don't be put off if the bartender does talk to or take your order you right away, she is probably busy talking to one of the regulars and she will get to you eventually, you just need to be patient. In summary: -The food is okay. About average for bar fare. -The service is inconsistent. It depends who is working and if there regulars there because they will get priority service over people they don't know. -The ambiance is slightly better than other sports bars in omaha. Typical sports bars have all the TVs turned and blasting the volume to the point where you can't even talk. The waterfall is not that bad by comparison.

One of the things I've noticed when getting anything, steaks, hamburgers, pizza, pasta, etc, is that it seems that it's always cooked the way the chef likes it rather than being consistent. I looked online to see what the menu was like and it was typical dive bar food. We walked in to an exceedingly dark space. We were trying to find a seat when the bartender asked a question I couldn't hear. Big Bro replied we wanted to eat and have a beer. That's when we found out that despite pictures and menus of food offerings listed online, O'Leaver's does not serve food any more. However, we could eat at the Mexican restaurant next door. So that's what we did. It would be an excellent idea for O'Leaver's to revamp their online presence to reflect the absence of food.

The bar is not that big, but I loved that they decorated it for Valentine's Day and that the decorations were still up. I tried three different cocktails: the Mango Mule, Triple Crown, and Boozy Bear Martini. My favorite was the Boozy Bear, which was a raspberry martini with a garnish of gummy bears. The Triple Crown was my least favorite; to me, it didn't even taste like it had any alcohol. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I also loved that they had a patio with a fireplace and a TV outside. We will definitely be back. The selection of drinks is large as well.
