We've been coming to this bar for years-the best dive bar in Issaquah! It's been around for years & has that awesome nostalgic ambiance. We love the eclectic crowd that all have a great time together! They have pool, darts, pull tabs & touch tunes so you can play your favorite music! The bar tenders have all been here a while & are all wonderful & offer great service. The drinks are cheap & you can order a few food items that are cooked to order in the air fryer. Or you can bring in food to eat from any of the restaurants in the area or just eat some yummy free popcorn! We've had so many Christmas, Birthday & Super Bowl parties here & they even encourage potlucks! Definitely give this place a visit. read more

The Ambiance in here is not the same as it was 20 years ago, it has definitely evolved a little, but not too much (which makes it great). Wonderful staff, and a friendly local hangout for a birthday party, game of pool, time on the front patio, etc. The H&H is where it's at in the Quah. read more

this is my waterhole and I love it. The two bartenders are amazing - be nice to them and they are nice back. be rude and you'll get what you asked for. even security is nice as well. my favorite thing about this spot beyond the good drinks and pool table/darts is the crowd is perfectly eclectic. There's young and old people alike, grungy folks and well dressed folks, from punk styles to athletic style folks to casual weekenders and party folks. This range of ages and styles also reflects in the music as well. Pair all of that with some great company and free popcorn - you can't really ask for more! Also most of the patrons seem to be regulars as I see a lot of the same faces and even befriended a few - it's got that small town bar feel which i love much. Great bar and equally great bartenders, no matter what time or day of the week you come in. Why do some newcomers sit at tables with taped notices saying PLEASE ORDER AT THE BAR and sit there for 15 minutes waiting for table service anyway, and then leave in disgust when they don't get table service? The world will never know. And I don't understand those people, and hope to never become one of them. That said, I highly recommend this bar. read more

Don't come here if you're not going to open a tab because the bartenders will be a B**** to you. Both bartenders were extremely rude to us when we closed our tabs out each time. We will never come back. And they make cannot make a Moscow mule which is the easiest drink ever. read more

This is the best dive bar in Issaquah hands down. If you're looking for a fancy watering hole you should head down to Levitate, but if you want enjoy pull tabs, stiff drinks and great happy hour specials with the locals then pony up to H&H. They also have pool tables, darts, Golden Tee, a condom dispenser in the bathroom and a juke box to really complete the dive bar theme. Now if you're into dive bars, you probably want to know how great their happy hour specials are. For starters, they offer $2.25 PBRS from 2-5pm as well as pitchers for $8.50. Then from 5-8 they offer $5 double wells. Their wells aren't nearly as premium as Levitate, but you get DOUBLE THE BOOZE for $5! So essentially they offer happy hour from 2-8pm, which is very generous. The wait staff are pleasant and attentive even for "non-regulars." However, you will find a lot of regulars hanging out at the bar so it's easy to feel like an outsider if you're not a regular. But the bartenders are nice to all who visit and you'll get good service regardless of your patronage. They also offer free peanuts and free popcorn; just don't throw the shells on the floor since that's frowned-upon here. read more

I like a good dive bar. But I guess I prefer those in "not my hometown" bars. This place reminds me of all the people that couldn't, or wouldn't leave Issy or at LEAST improve their lives after high school in some way. In one corner was drunk brosef, close-talking and squeezing his presumed girlfriend so she couldn't skitter away. As she was clearly trying to do. The other part, people playing pool and taking it v. serious when they weren't plunking money into the digital jukebox to play the same GD Sublime song or crappy country music 26 times in a row. Beer selection is OK. Bathrooms, scary. Atmosphere? Like you may get your butt kicked for no good reason in a heartbeat. AND - Happy hour? When is that? Pfffft. read more

Fine little dive bar right in downtown Issaquah. I thought it was kinda funny they have peanuts but clear instructions to NOT throw the shells on the floor. I get that it's messy, but every dive bar I have been to that has peanuts kind of encourages you to toss the shells on the floor. I might pop back by for a drink next time we are in town. Reviewing the H&H is a bit difficult. It's a bit of a dive bar in Issaquah. The first time I came here it was on a stop of many spots and I thought it was fabulous. The next time I went back I was driving later and a bit more clear in my thoughts and it was a bit of a disappointment. There were signs all over the bar advertising their super long happy hour, but the waitress told us to hurry up and order our beers since happy hour was about end. Shame the signs advertised the happy hour going another hour past the time it was. There's a pool table to keep yourself entertained and you'll hear the regulars playing everything from country music to modern rock on the juke box. Stumble into this place if you're looking for a place to grab a beer and hang out, but don't expect too much. read more

Definitely a dive bar, but in Issaquah, that puts it higher on the scale than you might expect. My friends who took me there say the new bartenders are doing a great job, with friendly table service if it's not too busy. They also seemed to think the beer taps are cleaned regularly, something most dive bars don't always do. There's pool, free popcorn and a jukebox. Great place to order a pitcher of beer (served in real glass pitchers) and share it with your friends. You'll likely run into some of the musicians from Village Theatre down the street after the show! read more

For what Issaquah has to offer, this is sadly one of the better spots for a pint. I've been here numerous times and I've never once been impressed by anything, just less disappointed. The barstaff is usually good, which makes the vaugely rundown feel a little more intentional. The pours are usually good, but the beer selection is not. This is one of the few Issaquah bars where you can have a chance of having a conversation, but since they have a digital jukebox it can real brotastic and annoying around 9. Typical. A decent spot to stop on a barhopping tour, but don't expect much. read more

This is a fun place to hang out at they have pool tables darts and video golf games. The drinks are really good but they don't serve food they have chips peanuts and popcorn but there are many food venues right next door. Great bar. I believe it's the oldest bar in Issaquah and probably the best dive bar. I used to go there 11 years ago and it was full of all the career alcoholics lining the walls (and asleep), but now has a younger, hipster crowd. At first, I thought that describing the H&H as a "dive bar" was a little off, but I looked up the term and I actually prefer the term "neighborhood bar". Reviewing the H&H is easy for me as my experience there is as a regular. I have enjoyed visiting with the other regulars and several of us often play darts. We try to play a variety of music on the jukebox, including Classic Rock, 80's Rock, Motown and so on. I even played Fanfare for the Common Man by Aaron Copeland - look it up; it's Classical Music! On the weekends, and occasionally on the weekdays, the H&H does get a younger crowd in the evening and the music changes to something I don't exactly like and maybe more drinking/shots get consumed. I prefer the on-tap beers and usually pick Manny's, Widmeir Hefeweizen or Mac&Jack's. Yes, the on-tap selection is kind of small. I also like to order mixed drinks like Madras and Smith&Wesson. The men's restroom does need some attention. The building is old and could use some refurbishing like a big, flat panel HDTV somewhere and some more HDTV's to enhance the viewing of sporting games. They recently got a new dart board, My experience as a regular is that I don't really notice a few people with a bit too much to drink, or I'm having fun with the regulars/friends and I have no need of obsessing over it. read more

Very unwelcoming strange ambiance. Regardless of how dead it is or isn't it's difficult to get the attention of anyone to be served. Preference seems to be shown for some patrons, because although I had been there attempting to get the bartenders attention at the bar for some time a woman walked in and was immediately served. I did eventually get a drink and was seated near the bar watching what seemed to be an intense emotional drama like what you would see on a teen show. I asked if I could get a Mak n Jacks, not a complicated order. I had to wait for the staff to stare at some kind of interaction in the back for a solid 3 minutes before she could hand me my drink. Btw nothing seemed to be happening over there. Like I said super weird energy in there and a rougher crowd. A couple ladies who seemed equally annoyed recommended the Rolling Log down the street which was way more friendly and upbeat, crowded and had to wait in line for a drink but still got it one in way under the wait time at the H read more

I come to this bar a lot due to its proximity to downtown issaquah. There may be better choices of bars but with 50 cent pool games, free peanuts and popcorn its hard to pass up. Its across from dominoes and subway which make it easy to walk and go get food. Free WiFi and super nice and funny bartenders. Usually bar goers are friendly and has a slightly more professional feel than the rolling log. Some what clean but has a distinct smell. One of the oldest bars in issaquah with a rich history. Rumors have it there is an old underground tunnel from the h to the rolling log that was used during prohibition and had underground gambling. Wish I could have experienced that back in the day. I will always remember this bar as a place I attended when I was young. A landmark in issaquah that would be a shame to lose. read more

H & H Tavern is the epitome of all dive bars, and quite possibly the most precious hidden gem of the Seattle area. I visited Issaquah for the weekend with some friends, and we came to this bar, not intending to stay too long. What we found was shocking. H&H has is all: reasonably priced drinks, a popcorn machine, music, a guy who goes by the name of Sunny, and several drunks who had to be escorted out of the building. If you love people watching and playing beer pong on a converted pool table covered in trash bags, this is the place for you. The atmosphere is what makes H&H the great place it is today. There's peanut shells on the floor, creative posters advertising their happy hour, a squeaky bathroom stall door, and batted up wood paneling that is reminiscent of my uncle's basement. At the end of the night, the fierce bartenders had no hesitation to curse and yell to kick people out. But my night wasn't complete till I experienced an authentic bar fight that broke out for no reason at all. I know this review might come off as sarcastic, but seriously, this night I spent at the H&H tavern was one of the best nights of my life. If you're looking for an experience that is unlike the typical seattle nightlife at half the price, come to this establishment. read more
