I had a great coffee date with girlfriend at Crescent Hill coffee on Frankford Avenue. I had a sugar-free vanilla cappuccino and they warmed up my cheese danish on this cold snowy day. Service was friendly and professional!

I chose this spot for my coffee fix and relaxation spot on a Sunday afternoon. Street parking was a breeze and my order was taken by a friendly, hard-working barista. The counter was tidy and cleaned up consistently while I visited. A couch and chairs as well as high top tables and patios chairs are available for those that want to linger. Some food, such as bagels and scones, is available to add to your coffee. Teas are also available. Loved my rose honey latte and the jalapeño scone was filling. I appreciated their suggested signature drinks, which are combos I wouldn't think to ask for. This is what makes the local spots unique from a bigger chain. This spot is connected to Eggs Over Frankfort, and I imagine at certain times it's very busy. I have been able to take a breath here today and will definitely be back to visit, hopefully with family and friends during the next round.

Comfortable coffee house with an inclusive vibe. My mom and I spent some time here catching up and noshing on baked goodies. It was the middle of the day when there was only one barista working, so everything took a while for them to prepare.

I asked for a recommendation & the Barista offered this. It's subtle rose notes and honey. Really good and tasty. The barista was helpful and offered suggestions and feedback on her preferences. The latte is well mixed and the espresso has really good flavor. Very chill atmosphere. I could see bringing a book and just relaxing. They also offer pastries. Some are in house made and others are local bakeries.

One of my favorite places to meet a friend or client as well as just to find a quiet place to work. Delicious food and coffee drinks.

Mocha Latte

Mocha Latte was on point! Quick service and nice lounge area with sofa, comfy seats or tables. Perfect spot to conduct business online/study/read.

This is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood because of the strawberry matcha. It is delicious. Love the customer service.

Have you ever stepped into a place and thought, "Yes, this is my kind of place"? I came for the…read morecoffee, but I stayed for the chicken's feet that would grant me protection and luck for only $5, the multiple sage bundles to cleanse my chakras, and the incense sticks that might remove a hex or give me divine powers once burned. Witches Brew is a place to find all sorts of magical things, but it is also just a divine (in every sense of the word) place to sit and have a hot beverage and a pastry. It's worth a visit to this coffee shop just to see the decor. It's purple everywhere, with mood lighting, mirrors, gothic tchotchkes, creepy dolls, skulls and other fun and slightly ominous curio. There are cool things in every corner, and even though I had intended on getting my coffee to go, I decided to sit for a while because coffee sometimes just tastes better when you're surrounded by cobwebs and broomsticks. I got an Americano, which is usually my go-to if I don't know how strong the house drip will be. The Americano was nice and smooth. I didn't have to wait long at all for my coffee. I visited on a weekday during the morning, and there were two people ahead of me, but the line went fast and my coffee came out quickly.

The walls and every corner are filled with witch-related artwork, decorations, and even merchandise. It's fun to look around because there's something interesting everywhere you turn. The coffee itself was pretty standard, nothing particularly standout, but the atmosphere is really what makes this place special. If you enjoy spooky or Halloween-style vibes, you'll probably love it here. They also offer free Wi-Fi, so it could be a good spot for studying or getting some work done. Personally, I found the ambiance a bit too spooky for focusing, especially at night. I am just not a big fan of that kind of setting (haha). Overall, it was a good experience and definitely memorable in its own way. I can see why people would really enjoy it, so I'm giving it 5 stars! And server was very nice.

The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The coffee itself is outstanding. You can truly taste the quality and care in every drink, whether you're ordering a perfectly balanced latte, a bold espresso, or one of their seasonal specials. Everything is crafted with consistency and attention to detail. Even the pastries and small bites pair perfectly with the drinks. We love the cheddar chive biscuit! What really makes Sunergos stand out is the experience. It's the kind of place where you can meet a friend, get some work done, or simply enjoy a quiet moment with an incredible cup of coffee. St. Matthews is lucky to have a coffee shop this good. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-tier coffee, great people, and a relaxing atmosphere! I wandered in yesterday to find this new shop buzzing with lots of patrons. I love the mix of high tops for working with tables inside and outside geared toward talking. Given its smaller size, this definitely seems like a coffeeshop that's good for a grab-and-go coffee or meeting someone to talk one on one, rather than spending a large portion of time sitting and working. Though you could definitely do that here too. This shop has all the faves you've grown to love at Quills Coffee. The dirty chai is my go-to. I also noticed a fun list of seasonal drinks, including an apple chai for fall. It also had a selection of baked goods, of which I opted for a cranberry orange scone. I'm excited to see this stretch of Brownsboro continue to grow. Quills is definitely a part of that!

This is not a place we regularly visit, although maybe we should. Our experiences have always been great and have no complaints during all of our visits. It is a nice quaint little place just off Grinstead Drive. The space here is decent and seating can be limited depending how busy they are. It's like being in someone else's home while feeling at home at the same time. They have seasonal menus like most local coffee shops do. I love their winter drinks where you get a small butter cookie and you can dunk it in the drink. Staff is always wonderful here and welcoming. Don't get me wrong; everything was good, but it didn't live up to what everyone was saying. The location is great. It's on the corner of Frankfort and Clifton. I like all the windows and the chill vibe. It's seat yourself, but they do table service. We got empanadas: beef, chicken, and ham & cheese. They're great--just like the ones at Classico Takeout and Empanadas. They were out of the entree we wanted so we got the salmon. It was pretty good. My biggest disappointment was the pizza. Several people recommended the spicy Thai shrimp pizza. It was just okay. I did not taste any Thai flavor. It was basically a cheese pizza with diced shrimp and a drizzle of buffalo sauce. I didn't care for the crust either. It ended up being a $70 dinner that was just okay. If we go back, it'll probably be for the empanadas or fries. It seemed like almost every table got the pomme frites so they must be good.

She offered recommendations when we were indecisive, and made sure each customization was executed accurately. The food: unpredictable. Let me explain: I ordered the gazpacho and the ensalada fresca. Both come with a hearty slice of Blue Dog crusty sourdough. Gazpacho: one million stars. SO delicious - flavor is spot on, with incredibly creamy texture for a vegan soup. Salad: not bad, but didn't blow me away. The greens were tasty, and the few tangerine slices and pine nuts scattered on top added a nice depth. The balsamic dressing was also pleasant. As a whole though, I felt something was missing. Maybe a crunchy or warm element? For a $15 dinner salad I expected more. The pricing: a little steep. I understand the goal is to provide elevated European cuisine, however for the quality and quantity I didn't feel the salad was worth it. That said, I would gladly pay $4.50 all day long for that gazpacho. Overall I appreciate the variety of options, especially vegan and vegetarian menu items. I would consider a return visit for the gazpacho for sure, however the issues above merit shoring up.
