Great hotel! Friendly staff, clean rooms, pretty decor! We love staying here. I have never seen a bug in the rooms. The gym is funky but enough equipment to get a good workout. Free spicy water!

Best bar ever! Ambience is great- you can find little places to sit in corners or if you want to be in the middle with a bunch of people that's great too! Definitely recommend! The rooms were so cool- the two queen beds were head to head and there were hooks all the way across the wall.

Such a fun hotel in a cute area of downtown! We booked this hotel as it was a great price but also because we stayed at typical hotels so much that we wanted something different and unique. Checking in at the bar was a bit a stretch for a young family but thankfully we enjoyed the fun atmosphere, tons of free games to play, high quality gym and all the extra little features around the hotel. Our room felt like an AirBnB in a city condo! Staff was helpful and friendly. So glad we made the decision to book this hotel. It's a block from Frothy Monkey and the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo which their location makes for amazing pics!

This hotel is a in a great location. You can walk to a ton of restaurants and around downtown really. They have valet but also self parking. Their self parking is really convenient if you don't want to do valet. The rooms are small but you should expect that going into a Moxy. They have everything you would need. Plus you should be enjoying the city and not camped up in your room. The atmosphere is fun and casual. You check in at the bar just like the other Moxys. This is not a hotel for everyone, so if you don't like bars, small rooms, community irons this brand of hotel may not be your cup of tea.

This hotel is sooooooo cool. It's definitely a millennial vibe. You check in at the bar and you get tokens for a free drink. The main area is full of life size games with plenty of seating. Near the elevator it's more private seating but still with the vibe. At night it definitely turns into a lounge/ bar vibe. I loved that the elevators were locked with a room key and the back entrance is more private to avoid the night crowd. The rooms was industrial. The water pressure and aesthetics of the bathroom were perfect. The beds and pillows are firmer than I would have liked. It's a cool space, but definitely party fun vibes.

This hotel definitely has Moxy, from the walls to the rooms it is definitely a vibe. The games in the lobby make for a nice evening and the affirmations that change by the minute give it a unique style. I couldn't tell if the hotel was the hang out spot or if the guests were just hanging out, but the bar was live and definitely the move for the night. The room was designed purposefully from the hooks on the wall to the drawers on the bed. Rather you're with your mate or a friend I recommend the double queen beds. I promise you'll thank me later. The warehouse district is in walking distance with restaurants and shopping to enjoy. The parking is validated for up to three hours if you drive. The market is a few minutes up the road and a worthwhile visit.

Cute place to stay in the middle of Downtown Chattanooga. Walking distance to many great places. The lounge area has a lot of things to do and friendly bartenders.

This hotel is cute and fun! We only stayed one night and unfortunately we won't be able to stay again. While the hotel was nice and the pops of color and fun were great, there were a few things that will keep us from coming back. 1st, pets are allowed everywhere, every room, every space. I have allergies and never would have booked knowing that none of the rooms are pet free. My sister in-law selected this hotel so I made the best of it. Our room had a slight lingering odor so I woke up congested and one of the elevators smelled awful from a pet accident. 2nd, the layout of our room with 2 beds was beyond strange. The beds are head to head with one side of each bed against the wall so someone has to climb in over the other person. The person sleeping by the wall had a reading light and spot for a phone, eyeglasses, etc, but the other person did not. There was a round table provided that could have been moved into place and used for a book or water glass, but that wouldn't help the fact that there wasn't a reading light in that spot. I also must mention the location of the TV. There was no spot in this room where you could sit back, relax and watch tv. Neither bed faces the tv so if you are hoping to watch a movie, it's a no go. It was a really strange layout. I should also note there is a window from the room to the bathroom and if you want to close the blind you have to climb on one of the beds to reach the chain. On a positive note the Moxy Cocktail was fantastic and the lobby seating areas were great, as was the staff.

PRE-COVID: We stayed at the Moxy for an overnight trip to Chattanooga from Atlanta and enjoyed it, overall. Check-in was easy and casual. It was interesting since I felt like I was just checking in with my bartender or barista, not a front desk reception that I'm used to. We got drink tokens to use at the bar or for food. The room wasn't big but big enough for two. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and new. The walls are QUITE thin - early in the AM, we heard the next door neighbors and actually got pretty concerned at the extent of their argument. It sounded like someone had a bit too much fun with their friend down the hall and got herself into some trouble. At least, that's how we interpreted the hysterics . We almost took it upon ourselves to call reception to maybe have someone check in on them to make sure everything was all right but it got quieter after an hour or so. We grabbed drinks at the bar using our drink tokens and the bartenders were friendly but also very busy. We always got our drinks when we asked for them. They were always very boozy and tasty - they don't skimp on the alcohol! Overall, due to location, I would definitely stay here again - however, I do see some recent reviews claiming there seems to have been a decline in the past year. Hopefully they're not common occurrences now!

Dog-friendly! The best part about the Moxy is its central location. It is walking distance to so many restaurants and breweries. We stayed at the Moxy on Thursday, 12/23/21. Checking in was easy and we got 2 drink tokens! We stayed in a double queen room. The room was pretty small, but it was manageable because it was so intentionally designed. The bathroom was very nice and the room felt clean. The hotel has a hostel vibe. They have a gym, work spaces downstairs with Mac desktops, and private rooms to work. We would definitely stay the the Moxy again!

On our first night, we went to the hotel's speakeasy to unwind after a long travel day. I told the bartender I only wanted water because I was dehydrated and not looking to drink. Later she started telling me about a new drink they were adding to the menu and said, "Let me make you a drink." I agreed, assuming she was offering it as a courtesy since I had already made it clear I wasn't drinking alcohol that night. When we got the bill, she had charged me $11 for a vodka. That set the tone for the rest of the stay: staff doing the very least to help while making it seem like they're providing excellent service. Then the AC in our first room failed and the room phone didn't work either. We were traveling with our older dog who has a heart condition and cannot tolerate heat. At 10pm, the only options offered were to pack up everything and move rooms or use a box fan. This was our 10‑year wedding anniversary trip and we had to be up early the next morning. There was zero urgency from anyone on staff to find a better solution. The next morning, maintenance told us the thermostats were locked and couldn't be fixed onsite without someone offsite helping. So we had to move rooms anyway. Again, no urgency, no help, no concern. We packed everything ourselves and moved rooms alone. The girl at the front desk was completely useless in this process as well and told us that issues with the AC on the 4th floor were well known but they booked us on that floor anyway to pad their occupancy rate, I assume to influence their online rates. Additionally the hotel is wildly understaffed. Every day we were there only one person was working and handling the front desk, room service and acting as host for the speakeasy. This is potentially fine when there are no issues but when things go wrong, one person cannot man an entire hotel. This is not only unfair to the guests, it's unfair to the staff. The staff was also dressed unprofessionally. One front desk associate was wearing blue plaid pants with chains and a concert tee. THAT is how a hotel is representing itself?? No one wore name tags either, presumably for lack of accountability. Then on checkout day, the hotel had a full power outage. The AC went out across the entire building, again dangerous for our dog. My husband went to another floor to get ice and got trapped in the stairwell because the doors locked during the outage. He and the elevator repair man were stuck banging on the door for several minutes with a housekeeper nearby who didn't bother to check. He only got out because the elevator man let my husband use his phone to callme and I had to go let them out. We then had to drag our luggage down three flights of stairs with no assistance. There was no notification to guests on what was going on, no alarms, and not one staff member helping guests bring their luggage down the stairs. At the front desk, instead of apologizing or acknowledging any of this, the staff member just asked for our room number so she could check us out when the power came back. When I asked if the hotel had generators, she shrugged and said, "Yeah I think we do." Maintenance even needed OUR help to access floors and unlock stairwell doors because they didn't have proper access during the outage. Not one person apologized. Not one person tried to make anything better. It was excuse after excuse, no urgency, no concern for safety and no sense of responsibility. This entire stay was a disaster and an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. We will never stay here again and unless you like wasting your money you probably shouldn't either.

My room was clean and very comfortable, with a small couch, table and chair. The bathroom was well kept, with plenty of space for your toiletries. However, I was given a room on the second floor that looked out onto the lobby roof and the parking garage. I expected a room with a better view given my Gold status. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, I found the internet appeared to be spotty at times. You had to reconnect every morning to the internet, which I do not recall this being required at other Hilton properties I stayed at, especially a Curio Collection hotel. In addition, you sometimes had to reconnect while in your room. One day, I went down to breakfast and although I re-checked onto the internet that morning, by the time I got downstairs, it was off again and I had to re-check in again. The parking garage on the property was free (you need to pull a ticket at first), and you get in and out with your room key. However, if you should stay passed your checkout time (like I did for lunch), when I went to use the key to leave the garage, it did not work. I had to repark, go back to the Front Desk and get the key card re-programmed. The gentleman at the Front Desk said the key card becomes nonresponsive at checkout time. I recommend the Front Desk inform its guests of this cutoff so that if you should enjoy lunch there or want to walk around the area before leaving, you are aware of this situation before you walk out to the garage and have to come back in.

One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Forge, the hotel's restaurant. If you visit, do yourself a favor and order the Honey Whipped Feta. The creamy, silky feta paired with sweet honey and served with charred baguette was absolutely delicious and one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!
