Hey got a guardian angel at Helping Wheels this year his name was Steve. I was stranded on the…read morehighways of interstate 85 in Spartanburg ,NC. My new installation of Harmar lift was sparking fire and my scooter tipping over while I was trying to find somewhere to pull over to seek safety. Upon off the road parking and attempting to get the scooter maneuvered back onto the lift and finding out that the lift wouldn't go up any further than 2 inches from the ground While leaning back toward the road. Good people this tragedy was unfolding at 1 AM in the morning. I immediately realized I was not going to make it any further down the highways of interstate 85. I called the company that did my lift installation only to have them remind me what time it was and then they hung-up in my face. I was stranded on the side of the road trying to call out to any Harmar installer in my cell phone range for help. People drove by so close to my vehicle that it would shake rapidly with vibrations. No one stopped and no one answered at many of the Harmar agencies dialed. Those who did answer where too far away to help and most said call my Harmar installer. Well, I tried that first and some good that did me. But one retailer answered and spoke with me to help me stay calm and feel safe throughout my entire ordeal; Steve at "Helping Wheels, Inc . I was so upset and physically shaken from being barely off the busy highway interstate 85 with a scooter and lift hanging to the ground. Steve spoke so nice to and really made me feel safer just being on the line with him. If ever I'm in his city of Asheville I will make it my business to meet him in person. What he did meant so much to me. It spoke volumes about his character and showed me that his business will grow beyond his wildest dreams. Even after finally communicating with the company that did my installation and having waited until 10am ... yes, that's right from 1am until 10am I was sitting in my car with the broken lift and a golden champion scooter hanging to the ground. I was waiting for a welder to show up to roadside repair my lift. Only he couldn't do it cause no shop with a lift would allow him to weld near a vehicle's full fuel tank. Steve from Helping Wheels was still checking up on me until I finally got repaired around 5pm and made it home safely by 2am the next day. If you guys on wheels need repairs done or just need wheels don't hesitate find Steve and let him be your guardian angel from start to finish. He was such a God sent blessing on the other end of my call for help that I will always be forever grateful. Thanks again Steve.

I was ready, watching the news with phone in hand, from 7:30 on. At 8:10, I got a call, but it was an automated reminder for my wife's appointment later in the morning. At 8:25, I called because I knew the Mission Urology office is very busy and understaffed, like all of HCA. The person who answered the phone wanted to argue with me that they had called and that I answered. I said I answered the robocall but had not received any other call while I was ready an hour and a half early. He read my correct phone number but then said there was a message left. I told him my phone can prove that's false. In scheduling, the older lady really needs to retire. If she's not snippy and short (I let my wife call for me because she seems to have a way with the woman), she often fouls up the time. Once, for example, a 10 am appointment was scheduled for 1 pm. Amelia, though, always reads the details back, so if there's a mistake, it's on you if you don't correct it. I have Vaya Health Transportation and usually use them and rely on MoMo just for the group trips to the store. I just didn't have a two-day notice to get Vaya for this appointment.

For my last pregnancy, I went with a different company (as suggested by my insurance) and it was a bit more involved. That company also did not plan to send out the pump until closer to my due date. Unfortunately, my son arrived 6 weeks early. The company had to rush order my pump, but in the meantime, I had to rent one at a cost to me. I knew I wanted the Spectra S1 this time simply due to it having the battery pack feature. I understood there would be an upcharge. I was able to pay it online using my credit card. I filled out a brief online form on Aeroflow's website, received a confirmation email shortly thereafter, and then received an email correspondence (and phone call) from a rep, Dana, the next day. It was simply to say that they were awaiting an Rx from my midwife's office. Aeroflow took care of EVERYTHING. I didn't talk to the rep once. I received a tracking # via email. My pump arrived today - 10 days (including weekends and the Thanksgiving holiday) after I filled out the form online! It also arrived 1 day earlier than projected AND on the day we had a blizzard warning/closed schools and businesses of all things. Pretty awesome! I'm not due for another 14 weeks, and I'm relieved that I have my new pump well before my due date! I highly recommend Aeroflow for ordering breast pumps!

I was also told by my insurance company that they would pay the full amount on a machine and told Aeroflow to bill the whole amount and they would get paid. I booked the 90 minute Swincar tour for my birthday while visiting Chattanooga and we had a blast!…read moreIt was way more fun than I had anticipated! Jacob, our tour guide was great! He assessed our driving skills throughout the tour and adjusted the pace accordingly. We finished the tour earlier than normal (he said we were one of the fastest groups) so we were able to have more driving time on the way back. There was only three of us plus Jacob. We lucked out being the only group to book that day, so we essentially had a private tour. They provide extremely helpful info prior to your tour once you've booked. Strongly recommend sunglasses or even goggles if you have them. I had my own sunglasses but the dirt kicks up with intensity through out the tour and will get into your eyes through the sides of your sunglasses. Definitely bring a bandana or a face mask if you don't want dirt all over your face or in your mouth and nose. I wore a face mask and was fine. Long sleeves and long pants are highly advisable due to a chance of ticks, plenty of dirt & the sun. i wouldn't bring anything with you on the actual tour other than your driver's license, tip and an inhaler if you have asthma. If you have allergies you may want to take some allergy pills prior to the tour that won't make you drowsy. If you have clothes with zip up pockets, wear those so you can stash items on hand. Closed toe shoes are required for safety. I would wear sturdy shoes or hiking shoes/boots to really protect your feet if you already own ones. I wouldn't necessarily go out and buy some just for this tour though. Sneakers are fine. The swincars are climbing beasts! They have some powerful throttle going uphill so keep that in mind when you're riding behind someone. On the flats I went full throttle and I was ok. There's one of the many bends and turns (near cliffs/drop offs) that is super sharp & steep that you need full throttle. Trust me you will feel the power going uphill, when you hit the throttle it will buck forward. Steering takes a little to get used to. As instructed prior to driving, don't over correct when turning, just bringing the steering wheel to neutral will do the trick without causing you to fishtail if you were to overcompensate. During the tour you will make several stops to learn about the floral and fauna and some history. If you book on a Sunday, Reflection Riding Arboretum is closed. The tour guide will be wearing a bright orange shirt and will open the gate 15 minutes prior to the tour. Be sure to use the bathroom BEFORE arriving at Reflection Riding Arboretum as there are NO available bathrooms open. The closest bathroom from there, that is open on Sundays are the ones at Ruby Falls about a 10 min drive away. They offer a 60 minute or 90 minute tour. The 1pm tours are the 90 min tours & the 3pm tours are only 60 min. You have to be 18+ with a driver's license to do the tour.

I discovered Adventure Sports Innovation ("ASI") while reading about the Lift e-foil (an electric…read moresurfboard). See: https://liftfoils.com/efoil/ As a fan of EVs, tech, and watersports, this board seemed like a dream for me! ASI is one of very few places in the U.S. that rents the efoil. This is a very unique experience! On the east coast, the next closest location is in Miami! So, I planned a day trip down to Chattanooga for a 90 minute session. At $250/90 minutes, it is one of the more expensive activities offered by ASI. But, it is 100% worth it and I plan to go back. The owners of ASI are great people and made sure that I had a great time. I have never experienced a watersports activity where you (as the rider) control the entire experience without a boat or wave. The wireless hand controller allows you to control speed and hydrofoiling (getting out of the water). If you have experience with wakeboards, surfing, or water skiing, that will be very helpful. But, even with that background, it took me around 30-40 minutes to learn the balance, turns, and speed control. I fell numerous times in the process. Like most watersports, it doesn't hurt to fall and the board stops nearby. ASI has a changing facility, lockers, etc. So, no worries about the logistics of storing clothes or changing. They also provide a trainer for the 90 minute session. My trainer (Madison) was excellent and she offered many suggestions about how to learn the balance and speed. She also took some really cool photos and videos that she later shared with me (see below). Aside from the lift e-foil, ASI has lots of other cool vehicles and a very nice facility. Electric offroad vehicle, smaller boards/scooters, e-bikes, etc. A very unique collection. They also have VR attractions including a simulated hang glider and a "design your own" rollercoaster. My son did the VR activities and enjoyed it. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chattanooga or, like me, someone interested in the Lift e-foil.
