Guided Rides - Our guide Josh managed to make it all work perfect; for a mom who is truly a mountain biking beginner, the dad who seems to be able to handle anything and the son who really enjoys a challenge. My point is, they happily accommodate all skills levels. Rental Bike options - it's only first class here with beautifully equipped new Yeti bikes, you will leave wanting one of these babies for sure! Plenty of choices for all rider types/sizes/etc... Location - The Bike Farm is easy to find just outside Asheville proper then a short trip to unbelievable trail options. Your guide will discuss what you want to do, then plan the route accordingly. We originally chose one day then added a second because we just couldn't get enough. If we could have stayed longer, we definitely would have. We took this trip to have an escape and enjoy the outdoors and couldn't be happier that we chose The Bike Farm. When we return to NC, without a doubt we will book again.

Nice forest preserve not far from downtown Brevard, NC with a little over 9 miles of trails for…read morehiking & mountain biking. There is NO restroom here, so plan accordingly. The parking lot has room for about a dozen vehicles and there are a couple of picnic tables on the side of the parking lot. The steep little road leading up to the park had some pretty big potholes so be careful and go slow. Their website indicates they have 1 campsite there as well so go to the website for more info on that. We spent a couple hours hiking around here and enjoyed the Autumn foliage. The trail is very uneven in many parts with lots of roots and rocks, and a moderate incline in places giving you a little bit more of a workout.

We had a great experience with Lake Lure Boat Rental. As promised, they delivered the boat right to…read moreour dock and even a few minutes early. Prior to the actual reservation, I had accidentally booked the boat for a week ahead and they were able to work with us to find a slot on the proper week. We had an issue with the boat while we were out with the family, however a quick text message and 5 minutes later they came out and helped diagnose the issue. Because it wasn't a quick fix, they transferred us to another boat immediately and let us get on our way. A+++ service and I would def. use them again the next time we stay on Lake Lure.
