They also have both Spanish and Mexican style churros with dips you can get filled or on the side: caramel, dulce de leche, or chocolate. Both versions are tasty and come out fresh!! Don't skimp on the potato balls and sandwiches too. I just love this place. I also love that they have affogatos with a legit espresso machine. They use vanilla soft serve for their affogato, and it was delicious. I didn't even miss the traditional gelato aspect.

When I ordered, Bella at the deli register kindly let me know there would be about a 20-minute wait due to call-in orders, offering me water and fresh bread while I waited. Since my wife and week-old baby were waiting in the air-conditioned car, I brought them inside to sit with me. Shortly after we sat down, a family dining nearby noticed our baby and struck up a warm conversation. A moment later, one of the women from the family came over to congratulate us and offered us some fresh pastries. She returned to our table with two pistachio-filled croissants and two espressos--a gesture that, given our level of sleep deprivation, couldn't have been more appreciated! I later learned from Bella that this incredibly kind woman was Valeria, a member of the Giuseppe family who owns the restaurant. As for the food itself, we got the Gloria sandwich on focaccia. It is honestly one of the best sandwiches we've ever had--so good that this was actually our second time ordering it in three days! I cannot thank Valeria, Bella, and the Giuseppe family enough for their exceptional hospitality and generosity. Appetizer: The beef carpaccio didn't match the menu description. When I pointed it out, the server simply brought some cheese to the table. It was just okay, but ultimately the best savory part of the meal. Both entrées were major disappointments. My shrimp scampi had rubbery, overcooked shrimp with okay garlic pasta that I could have made better at home. My fiancé's replacement chicken dish was heavily oversalted, with some pasta and vegetables on the side. The only bright spot was dessert. We grabbed a couple of treats from the display on our way out, and the mini cannoli and lemon gelato cheesecake were both great. Skip the homemade lemon cheesecake, though--it tasted more like barely sweetened yogurt. As soon as you walk through the entrance gate, you are transported to a lovely tea garden. We did make reservations ahead as it is reservation only. Rushell greeted us and we were quickly seated. We chose the La Dolce Vita Tea Experience. We were able to sniff the tea leaves first in individual test tubes which absolutely helped me pick my tea. I loved that experience! Once everything was selected, we were brought out our teas and salads. The salad was refreshing and I especially enjoyed the fresh tomatoes, garbanzo beans, and house vinaigrette. I had the Eiffel tea and absolutely loved it. I typically prefer black teas with either hints of floral or fruit notes and this tea had the perfect combination. We were then given our individual towers/ tea tiers which consisted of three sandwiches (smoked salmon pinwheels, apple Brie melt, and Prosciutto, Feta And Balsamic Fig Sandwich) of our choosing, a cranberry orange cake scone with creme Fraîche and strawberry preserves, and a trio of desserts (lemon cake with blueberries, petite four, and a rosemary shortbread). I honestly loved everything I ordered. I loved the cake scone as it was very moist and the sandwiches were all divine with powerful flavors in each bite. I didn't love the creme fraîche, as I prefer clotted cream with my scones, but it does offer a great break from sweetness of the cake scone. I especially enjoyed how toasted the Apple Brie melt was. I love short breads and petite fours, so I'm a bit biased but they were my favorite desserts.
