So I've been here a few times now. In the past, I've tried their coffee, avocado toast (modified to be vegan), some of their vegan pastries, and an Italian soda. This most recent visit we had their vegan avocado cookies but I didn't love it. I'm not sure if it was too sweet or too salty. It just tasted a bit off. My kids both had a couple bites and didn't want anymore, which is odd for them to not eat sweets. We also had a tropical sunrise smoothie, which I tried and it was good. One of my daughter's liked hers and the other was picky and said it tasted different. Hubby and I ordered lattes with oat milk. Unfortunately, the Mexican mocha powder mix contains dairy since they use the LA Abuelita Brand of mix (owned by Nestle and not the true OG Mexican chocolate, check out Ibarra instead). So we ended up with vanilla and hazelnut lattes instead with oat milk. We took our goodies to go and service was friendly and quick. In the past, I recall more vegan pastries so I'm a bit disappointed that the only option was a cookie. Anyway, I would likely return if I'm meeting up with friends or in the area for a drink, but wishing they had more vegan friendly options. Plenty of seating inside. The door was a little funky to open/close. Bathrooms inside. Street parking or free parking in the lot across the street from the gem society. Check the website for hours because it seems Fallbrook has funky hours compared to typical businesses. read more

Great bakery cafe on a really cute street! I got the coconut lime scone, which was pretty good and I'm not a huge scone person. I also got the cappuccino which was perfect. The woman at the register was very friendly and welcoming. The cafe is super spacious and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I'm here waiting for a wedding to start and this was perfect for me to kill some time and enjoy a nice cafe in a new area~ read more

Being a local, I decided to come here several times before making a review... This place is such a hit or miss. Food wise - I think I've been impressed maybe once or twice. Multiple times my food has been cold or just tastes 'meh.' I think if the service was great, I could be a little more forgiving about the food, but when your cold meal is served to you by someone with an even colder personality, it really makes me question why I keep coming back. 10/20/24 Overview: Wonderful service, cute small-town atmosphere, yummy drinks and baked goods, affordable prices ---- They are usually closed on Sundays but was open this past Sunday during the Fallbrook Harvest Faire! I ordered the maple pecan spiced chai latte ($5.50) which was delicious, a little sweet but great flavor! I also had a raspberry pistachio scone ($3.50) which when well with my drink. It would have tasted even better if it was warmed up (I was in a rush so I'm not sure if they have the option to rebake/microwave it for you) Service was really friendly and helpful, especially since I don't really go to coffee shops often, they were great in guiding me on what and how to order. My only recommendation is that it would be great if they had their prices listed for the rest of their drink items and for all of their food and baked goods. Their scones are wonderful! I've never had one this good, not dry at all. Flavor is top notch. Goes great with their iced coffee. I enjoyed their spinach and cheese croissant sandwich with some Tapatio. The croissant even on its own was extremely delicious -- buttery, flakey, fluffy. The egg was good quality and had plenty of spinach. I really enjoyed my iced hazelnut latte with oat milk, and the tumeric matcha tastes great as well. You can tell they use good quality matcha. Their strawberry peach smoothie was also killer!! I love that they also have small business vendors' items inside. I bought a pair of earrings and they are to die for. It was our first time checking this place out and we highly recommend it! We will definitely be back. The people that work there seem very nice. Food came out hot and fresh and it was so tasty. We loved our iced coffees and are looking forward to trying some others in the near future. They have a great menu with lots of varieties. Something for everyone. They also offer some lunch items. Had the smashed avocado bowl with scrambled eggs, spinach and feta on a bed of arugula with a delicious light vinaigrette, so amazingly good! Heck yea I recommend this place. The food is excellent. They have options for vegan and gluten free which is fantastic for a bakery. The environment is intimate and warm. I especially love the bagels, rolls, cupcakes, cookies, ham and cheese croissants, ummmmm I love it all. Since Bakin' it up has been open we've been coming in religiously every Saturday I am not working...which amounts to 5 or 6 times thus far! It's been nice getting to know the collective lady owners...so far we've met Kelly and Johanna and they are top notch ladies! Everything we've tried here has been a hit but of course we have our favorites: for example the Oatmeal Toffee Coconut Cookie and the Sourdoughs! The atmosphere is quaint and gives an at home feeling! We love dining in and seeing other locals but it's also nice to see people from out of our town visiting from elsewhere! This is what fallbrook was needing to give the downtown area a more if a fresh feeling! Minded they are only open Friday's and Saturday's and just recently opened for Sunday brunch! There hours are from 0800-1400 (8am-2pm) so plan accordingly. Parking is street parking only. But plenty of parking in front or around the business. Ask to meet Kelly or Johanna! read more

We went on a Saturday morning around 9 and it wasn't busy until we left(around 930ish). Ambiance was relaxing as they do have an area with couches and tables.
