Left a Facebook message and voicemails twice since Saturday and no one even called me back! I just called again. I purchased an item Sat and the sales lady didn't put the stand in the box! The item is useless without the stand. Now I have to wait until they decide to ship it to me. They also argued with me in the past when I bought a candle water fountain that didn't work when I opened it. So two bad experiences now. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I am a frequent visitor to AMI (we rent property annually near Bean Point) and my many houseguests have often shopped at this store. I will tell them never to go here again. I bought a pair of shorts that I wanted to return. Today I went to the store and immediately showed my receipt and shorts to the saleslady, Yasmine. Yasmine told me that they would not allow me to return the shorts, and that their return policy was on their receipt and on a card on the counter, which is true. Yasmine pointed out to me the policy on the receipt, which also says exchanges only within 3 days, I asked her if she would still allow me to exchange the shorts, and she said "yes." I spent time (including two trips to the changing room) finding something I wanted to exchange the shorts for. Then I went to the counter and Yasmine said she could not allow the exchange because the purchase was more than 3 days ago. I told her she had specifically said she would exchange the shorts. She said she couldn't allow it but when I asked to speak to her supervisor, she confirmed that her supervisor could authorize the exchange if she chose to do so. Jasmine called her supervisor, Betty, on the phone and spoke to her. I then spoke to Betty. After hearing what happened, Betty refused to allow the exchange. Given that Yasmine had said she would allow the exchange, I believe this is an example of "bait and switch" in violation of Florida's consumer protection laws. I will be filing a complaint with the Florida office of consumer protection. read more

Ok I just bought the wife an anniversary card ...I gave the Woman A $50 as I just went to the bank Saturday...and had $50s & $100s ! She gave me change as if it was a $20? I made it clear I gave her a $50!! NOT $20! There was zero question in my mind...$20!! So decided to read the yelp reviews! This place is dishonest... My wife is there lots.... No more!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. They have an unbelievable selection of Christmas ornaments of course with a beach theme. A great place to pick up mementos from my trip to this unbelievably beautiful island. I found some cute gifts for Friends back home. read more

Astonishingly unresponsive and rude response to a mild and politely stated problem regarding an earlier purchase. The facts and details aren't as important as the owner's combative and emotional response to a polite request for a review of a product one month after the sale. "What do you want me to do about it?" "This will be hard for me to do!" To be clear, neither a refund nor return were asked for. Recognition of the problem and a polite conversation was all that was hoped for. Neither was forthcoming. Want a debate? Go to White Egret. Want responsive customer service? Go elsewhere. The product will remain in our closet for the duration. read more

A little pricey? Yes, but would you rather buy online and have to spend hours assembling furniture? I purchased three beds and counter stools online and although they are nice and made of solid wood, we spent hours assembling it. We only needed a couple more pieces of furniture so we splurged and purchased from The White Egret. We found a beautiful white dresser with iron pulls and a white coastal console that serves as a media cabinet. It was delivered the same day. It was a bit expensive but prices online weren't too off. I'll be returning for a couple of nightstands. read more

This store has beautiful items that are a little overpriced. It is crowded, dangerously so( I wouldn't take children or mobility impaired). The staff is not icy but not warm either. You could get nice things, but I've lived 64 years and have learned it's best to do business with merchants who appreciate your time and money. That's more important than things. The accompanying clothing store has nice quality items,still pricey, but the staff is nicer and more accommodating. I found 2 pairs of jeans and the sales lady was most helpful while helping many others as well. Go there! Buy home items and gifts somewhere else. It is a cool week in Sarasota this week. We were looking for a new to us gift shop, that is how we came to this gem. Anna Marie is a lovely drive from downtown with gorgeous water and beach views. This shop smelled so good, there were so many beautiful gift items. I loved their selection of tea towels and cocktail napkins. Lots of beach themed dishes and home decor. If you get a chance, stop by and take a look I think you will like this shop read more

We have a home right down the street but will drive past this awfully demeaning store every time and head 10 minutes south twords Cortez circle where the cute shops and sweet owners are happy to see you. The owner at Egret must have old family money because they sure don't have any business sense. RUDE. As my 4 yr old said when we put our $300 lamp back..."you're not my friend" haha. read more

This is a small "upscale" (AKA expensive) beachy gift shop on the north side of the island, in walking distance of the Sand Bar Restaurant and the old IGA. It's worth the gander if you are looking for fresh Florida-style decorating ideas (or just wanna get outta the sun), from artwork to towels/bedding to kitschy crabs, flamingos or turtles. They take special orders on $300 pastel adirondack chairs of recycled plastic. Things are crammed in tight and the aisles are skinny-fine if you have the place to yourself, not fine if competing little ol' ladies won't get outta the way. read more

I was a little wary of shopping here given the previous reviews, but the shop was lovely and the customer service was excellent. The shop has lots of of nice gifts and home decor. Perfect to find some pretty souvenirs from our family trip to Anna Maria Island. The woman working was helpful and had a nice conversation with me and my sisters. Horrible Service!!!!! My family went into the shop which is very nice. I was at the register with my kids ....only people at the counter. The sales lady was on the phone, she never looked up and never acknowledged we were there. We waited...she hung up after speaking to the owner I think, because she was discussing a price on a table with a scratch on it becuase she was told to use a magic eraser to remove the scratch. She still never looked at us or said just a minute. She had to walk around us to get from behind the counter and still never said a word. She started speaking to another customer. Well I left the item I wanted to purchase on the counter and walked out. The sales lady still did not say anything as we were walking out. I guess my money was not good enough. read more

I stopped in on a yearly vacation that my husband and I take. We were looking to purchase items for our home that we are unable to find where we live in the north east. Each staff member (3-4) were the most rude, uninviting employees. No one greeted us the entire time we were walking around and in fact we got the vibe as if they were waiting for us to leave! Regardless of what I liked in the store, I would not purchase anything and would never give them my hard earned money. We found everything we were looking for just over the bridge in Cortez called Pink Pineapple. The actual owners were lovely and very willing to sell their products to us and handle all the shipping to our home. read more

This place has absolutely beautiful beach decor. Very inspiring to anyone who loves beach decor. While we weren't able to purchase furniture there, we did find chairs that were exactly what we'd been looking for and Jimmy helped us figure out the style/model. We looked at their swatches and called a local dealer of the brand and ordered these chairs while visiting! We purchased a beautiful print and the staff in both stores were helpful in getting it purchased and wrapped properly for the long ride home. Was shocked to find such negative reviews. I stop in whenever I'm on the island just to see what's new. They have many lovely things, often pricey, but a good variety not found elsewhere. Great for special gifts. Enjoy the freedom to browse and assistance is available when required. read more

Found this lovely shop on our last trip to Anna Maria. We bought a picture that they helped us pack so we could ship it back home. I only wish I lived in Florida, I could furnish my whole home at this shop. Worth seeing! read more
