    4 pc Rib Appetizer

We stopped at The Wild Turkey randomly as we passed through town and it was some of the best BBQ I ever had--and I've been to Texas, the South, etc. All meat was fork tender and fell off the bone. The ribs in particular were my favorite. The baked beans were unlike any other baked bean I've had. It had multiple types and sizes that kicked it up a notch. Everything was handmade, even the hand cut French fries. Nothing frozen here, folks. The owner and master smoker, Ed, ran the bar on this particular day and was very pleasant to chat with over the course of the lunch. The restaurant was just recently renovated and looks great. All in all I wish I lived near this restaurant because it was that good. Ed could easily win any BBQ competition around. 10/10.

Wife and I had the smoked wings (Buffalo and Garlic Parm). Best wings we've had anywhere! Great service and surprisingly low prices.

Old Fashioneds are good with good service. Brisket (smoked) is to die for. Definitely worth it but the red potatoes are everything.

I mention this to give credit to the female bartender who was hustling her tail off. Once seated she came over and took our drink order. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING I WILL SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THERE WAS NO DRINK MENU. Our gin and tonic, brandy old fashioned, white Zinfandel, and Bloody Mary with a chaser came out extremely fast. A perch dinner, beer battered fish fry, chicken tender, and a classic burger were ordered. We waited about 20 minutes for our food to arrive. My 3 piece beer battered cod was flaky and not greasy. My husband's perch came with 2 large filets and he said he really liked it. Chicken tenders are chicken tenders and hard to mess up haha. My dad said his burger was flavorful and juicy. For all 4 of us ordering food and having alcoholic beverages, our bill came to a little over $100. The bartender thanked us for our patience since she was the only person working, but we didn't feel we ever waited a long period for anything. Will definitely be back.

What the heck this is a supper club on steroids. My son and I were able to be seating at the bar. He had the kids cheeseburger, I had side of Brussels, the beef tip appetizer, and the blue cheese wedge. Wow that wedge salad was amazing- the bacon was perfect, blue cheese great and it had a French dressing sauce as well. I have never had a wedge served that way and it was great. My son's cheeseburger was amazing. They use the left over meat from trimmings. Our server (perhaps owner I should have asked) said they don't want to be a burger place. Well I hear you but that kids burger was amazing. The beef tips were fantastic- great Dijon mustard sauce. It was a great meal! Crowd was up north Chicago style- but man the food is stellar. But the crab cakes hit it out of the park. The best I have ever had- yes- in the north woods the Crab Cake was the bomb. It was served on a wood plank with a red slightly spicy remoulade sauce. Two lovely thick cakes with lots of sweet crab meat. Made my entire week! I would just order these for dinner and add a salad on the next visit. Hubbie and I had the tenderloin infused with the garlic. So good. Cooked to perfection Medium. Our friend had the rib eye and ate every bite. His wife had the fish fry and enjoyed it but could not finish as she had stolen some of my crab cakes. Lovely atmosphere and not too big of a dining room. Such great service from a lovely group of all woman servers and bartender. I think this is our new favorite place to eat in the North Woods. Please do not do anything to that Crab Cake recipe. It is perfection

Service was friendly and quick. Never waited too long for a drink or for food to come out. All in all, very pleased with the meal. Reuben was one of the best I can recall in recent years. Crispy bread, good corned beef, plenty of sauerkraut and dressing. And I found it interesting they added smoked gouda as well. Overall, excellent, excellent sandwich! One of our party members ordered the broasted chicken, which looked and smelled amazing. She said it was excellent. Great portion size and I may try that next time. Another had the bacon Gouda burger and said it was good but messy. And he wasnt the biggest fan of the garlic bread instead of a bun, but said it was still tasty. Messy, but tasty! Other than that, drinks were not bad and were comparably priced to other places in the area. We had brandy old fashioneds for the most part. Have had better but they were still good enough to have multiple! Soup of the day was beer cheese chicken chowder, which was light and flavorful and surprisingly good (I am not a beer cheese person usually but would have this again if given the chance). Fiesta poppers for the appetizer were quick to come out and a great start before entrees rolled out. No sitting and waiting around at all between courses. Overall, very good experience and we will be coming back again to try more of the menu!
