Ordered their Low Pro EDC belt and sized it per the directions on their site but when I received it, it was WAY too small. Not sure if I was sent the wrong one or what but I can't even get the Velcro to touch. Sent emails and left voice mails (no one ever answers the phone) about sending it back for the proper size and have yet to get a response. It's been over a month now and doesn't appear they have any intention of making it right. Now it's just a paper weight on my desk as I can't even use it. $60 wasted. So far, their customer service really sucks. read more

I've bought a Zip Slide holster for my 1911, Hi-Power, K and K frame S&W revolvers, an Instructor Belt and a Safe Packer. Been shopping for my accessories there since Jeff Cooper ran Gunsite Ranch. Great products. I have one complaint. I'll call and talk to a customer service person (usually Joan) and they take my name and number and promise to call back with an answer. In all the time I've known about this company, I've *yet* to receive a callback to my question(s). Happened just the other day (6/1/2021). Good product. Company management probably needs re-vamp. Ordered belt online. Had trouble with sizing because of new sizing s-m-l vs numbers on old belt. One that came didn't come close to fitting even though 36 was stated as being in the range of medium. But I was somehow supposed to know that. Anyway, expensive belt just became REALLY expensive after paying shipping to send wrong belt back and get right belt sent. A $50 belt ends up close to $80 after 3 shipping fees. Crazy read more

I came in because I wanted a gun belt that would fit in the loops of my work pants! I was greeted by what I would have guessed to be the owner because she was knowledgeable on every product in the showroom and just over all friendly and enthusiastic to be there. I picked a belt that was not stocked in my size and color Not a problem here! Wilderness Tactical typically sells it's products through web sites and distribution to retail stores. Their factory is in Phoenix, AZ which has a very small outlet store in front. You can save shipping and maybe get a "seconds" deal if you can drive to the factory location. Their products are heavy duty, over designed, rugged examples of the best American made quality. Their motto is "Overkill never fails." All of their products cost a bit more than flimsy Chinese imports. You do get what you pay for. I use their Wilderness Packer un-holster regularly. It was developed to safely carry a handgun by mountain rescue teams. It secures and protects the weapon while allowing rapid access if needed. Other products include a gun belt - Instructors Belt - stiff enough to support pistol holsters and magazine holders. Fashionable with casual wear, it is also TSA friendly with no metal parts. CCW friendly shirts, rifle slings, utility bags, pouches and backpacks are also manufactured. Great products with patient and helpful store staff. read more

I got one of their frequent flyer instructor belt several years ago which was a great fit. Pay attention to the video how to determine the correct size. They know what they are talking about. After much daily use the hook/loop material became frayed and didn't cinch up as well anymore. Checking the website to buy another and found they have a recondition program to replace the material. Cheap if you carefully cut off the hook/loop yourself but they will do it for cost. Mailed it in and returned about 1 week. Looks almost brand new or it is a new belt. Yaaa!! read more

I ordered a belt on December 4th 2018. It would have been my 3rd. I like the product. It was never shipped. I sent an email on December 28th inquiring. No response, Its January 16th. No belt No response. They have my $57.90 and I have no belt or communication regarding it. I cannot recommend this company. read more

Zero stars for customer service. Five stars for excuses! I ordered a belt on 10/7/17 and it has STILL not shipped out! Talked to someone on the phone on 10/13/17 and she stated that she thought these belts were out of stock, even though their website says otherwise. She said that she'd ship out the belt over the weekend (wait, i thought you said they were out of stock?!) Today, I called and someone else said that they don't know what is going on with the order, but he is "sure that the belt shipped" even though they don't have a tracking number, and there's nothing in their computer system showing that it's been shipped. Incompetent! UPDATE: I got a call back--the belt has not actually shipped out yet, and won't ship out for another 3 days! Major incompetence! read more

If you need a way to carry your weapon, hold up your pants, or strap something of a tactical nature down, this is the one and only shop to head to in Phoenix. The Wilderness is one of those little known Phoenix gems that when you need them, they are the best shop around. A couple years back I was in need of a belt that I could do a lot of things with. It needed to: - Be able to hold up a holster and gun. - Work as a belt to hold up my bike shorts as I have no butt. - Not be made out of leather. So I did some hunting, no pun intended, and found the Wilderness. They had exactly what I needed, the Instructor belt (http://www.thewilderness.com/index.php?p=product&id=2309&parent=142). Not only would it do what I needed, hold up my pants and keep the piece on my side - on my side - it also worked as a repelling belt should it really be a SHTF moment and I needed to repel literally by the seat of my pants. Over the years I have bought more belts, more slings, more ways to be able to function from the Wilderness than any other shop in Phoenix or the internet. Very rarely do I call something a hidden gem, or the "best of the best" but for what the Wilderness does, they truly are the best. read more

This is a warning to everyone who wants to buy from this company. Don't buy anything from them because of their fraudulent business practices. On December 09, 2018 I placed an order (Order ID# 103784) online for a black Original Instructor Belt CSM 1 1/2" width for a total price of $67.90 They got my payment from my credit card on December 12, 2018. After waiting patiently for many weeks the belt I ordered and had paid did not arrived. So I decided to contact them thru email inquiring about the status of my order because they gave me an Order ID# without a tracking number. I am very much disappointed and frustrated because they never answered me back and never received the belt until this writing January 20, 2019. read more

Were it possible to issue zero stars, I would. I ordered a money belt from this company, and I ordered the wrong size (my mistake). When I found this out I contacted them about a return, and ordered a new belt in the correct size. When the new belt arrived, it was the wrong color (their mistake). I contacted their office, and spoke to Joan, who was very nice, but informed me that I would have to return the belt to them before they would send me the correct color. I was leaving for an overseas trip shortly after that point, so I had to argue with her, which was like pulling teeth, to get her to rectify their mistake by sending the correct belt to me, while I simultaneously sent the wrong color belt back. When the replacement arrived, lo and behold, it was the correct color....but the wrong size (their mistake...again). Now I am left to travel overseas with no manner of securing my cash, due to nothing but the ineptitude of the employees at Wilderness Tactical Products. read more
