Oh my goodness, where do I begin?! Choosing The Willow Ballroom as our wedding day venue was the best decision we could have made. Not only is it absolutely beautiful but Angelica and her team were so incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning and wedding day execution. The communication was clear and consistent allowing us to have any questions answered and avoid any confusion. The venue was always taken care of as far as cleanliness and presentation, truly a beauty that is captivating at any visit. On the wedding day, it couldn't have been more perfect with the beautiful drapery and furnishing that Angelica has cultivated- such a beautiful and romantic foundation that hardly needs any additional decor yet flexible enough to add some unique touches. Lastly, what stood out most was how supportive Angelica was for us in every moment, from providing us so much transparency and guidance to thinking of all of the small details to help make our day seamless and enjoyable (helping bring in decorations, making sure we enjoyed our cocktails after the ceremony, keeping the vendors in the loop). As a little girl I dreamed of having a fairytale wedding- a wedding that was beautiful, magical, and the perfect backdrop to marrying my prince charming. The Willow Ballroom was it- I had my eyes on this place and crossed my fingers that one day I could get married here. Soon the time came and when my now husband and I toured the venue for the first time we were enchanted by the venue's beauty, detail, and amazing aesthetic. On our wedding day our family and friends were gushing over how incredible the Willow Ballroom was. Adjectives we have been hearing a lot are breathtaking, gorgeous, and Taylor Swift Love Story vibes. I completely agree. One reason it is breathtaking is the chandeliers and drapes. WOW, the first time I walked in they were setting up for an open house and even when everything wasn't fully set up it looked amazing! The height of the chandeliers and drapes are put at the perfect spot. The aisle I walked down on was lined with chandeliers, it made me feel like a Disney princess! All of the decor in the space is handpicked and well arranged. Every item of decor makes sense, nothing is too big or too small for the space. Also everything in the space is clean, classy, and elegant. During cocktail hour our family and friends loved the seating and table options and they said it added an extra special touch to our wedding. They also couldn't get over the beautiful giant mirrors that welcomed you into the venue. For the adjective gorgeous every step you take into the venue puts you in a state of awe. Even the bathrooms are decorated so nicely and cleanly! From the outside to inside space there are so many gems for spots to take pictures. They also have a private estate that has amazing greenery and is a pretty background for more wedding photos. Angelica and her family did a really great job giving space for couples to make their wedding picture dreams come to life. You might chuckle at the Taylor Swift Love Story adjective, but it is an absolute complement. Angelica provided a wonderful list of preferred vendors- we were able to get the vendor dream team. My family and friends couldn't stop talking about each of the vendors from signage to florist to the ice cream cart to photography etc. Usually there is just one vendor everyone loves but it seemed like nobody could pick their favorite because they were all SO good! Each of these vendors were familiar with the Willow Ballroom and all came together to emphasize the venue's magnificent features and celebrate our special day. They all took my wedding dreams and picked the best designs, colors, and food to match the venue perfectly where everyone was singing Love Story (Taylor's version) in their heads throughout the night. Angelica works well with all the vendors to inform them with accurate information and communicates in a detailed way and we are incredibly thankful for that! Our experience with the Willow Ballroom and Angelica was phenomenal. Firstly, the venue is gorgeous and sells itself (I wanted it the second I saw photos), but Angelica is the absolute best in the business and has curated every detail in such a stunning and beautifully organized way. From the list of preferred vendors to the gorgeous drapes, chandeliers, and furnishings that are included, her taste is just perfect. She was also a joy to work with (always friendly with terrific suggestions and quick to respond to our questions). We had our wedding recently there with 150+ people, and it was incredible. The vendors, Angelica and her team, everyone made the day so seamless for us. The natural beauty of the venue allowed us to save on tons of decor because we wanted to showcase the natural brick, beautiful drapery & it was perfection. Attended a wedding and reception here recently and it was nice. There was one really big issue several of us had. Because there are not walls and they drape curtains to separate the "chapel" from the bar area and more of the floor to make it more intimate, noise carries. During the ceremony much of it was missed because staff was setting up food stations or something but very loud rattling of china and cutlery that was not only distracting, but also made it hard, if not impossible, to hear the preacher and wedding couple. As well, with concrete floors and a decent amount of time to set up the tables for the reception after the ceremony, it was hard on older attendees, or those with some other issues, to stand for a long time; there was very inadequate seating available beyond about 10-12 guests. It is a nice venue, the staff is okay, food is decent, but for me no where near four stars much less five. read more

My husband and I just had our dream wedding at the Willow on 4/13/24, and it was truly amazing. We had the best vendors and that all started with Angelica and her references and guidance in who to hire to make our night the best it could be. She also responds in record time to any inquiries! Angelica is extremely versed in the industry and knows exactly how to run a venue the way it needs to be run, we had literally no issues on our day in regard to the venue, or any day before that. Two different stories of how Angelica handled issues without stress and really cares about the couples and making sure their day goes as planned. First story is from early on in our planning: my husband and I were deciding between two dates. Angelica sent us both contracts so that we could send in the one we wanted when we decided. We accidentally sent in the wrong one and didn't notice for two weeks, after we'd already booked vendors for the other day....We of course freaked out because we were out of town and couldn't immediately fix the problem other than sending a frantic email, and thank god Angelica was completely calm and told us it was no problem, we have the date we want and it'll all be fine. We took care of the issue when we were back in town without stress knowing she was in our corner and said it would be fine and she wouldn't give away our date. Next story was our actual wedding day: it poured rain all day. We'd booked an indoor wedding for this reason, as all Sacramento people know the spring is totally unpredictable! However, our picture plans at the gorgeous estate were ruined. Angelica let us and our bridal party and both our families come hours early to take all of our photos indoor in the venue while all the vendors were setting up, despite our contract saying we couldn't arrive until a certain time. She also offered to let us take photos at the estate in the coming weeks if we wanted to. I will be eternally grateful to her for her kindness on our wedding day when it came to these indoor pictures, as they turned out amazing (from the sneak peeks we have back so far!) and the weather was the one thing that could go wrong that I couldn't control and she made it as painless as possible. We loved her and Willow, my parents loved her and Willow, my husband's family loved her and Willow, we've been told one million times over how amazing our venue and wedding day were by guests. Complimentary valet and the ability to bring in your own alcohol (so huge!) are just a few perks at this venue. Angelica also has a ton of furniture pieces that you can use, as well as the gorgeous black and white dance floor that we rented. You can have exactly what you want at Willow, it is a true, giant, wonderful blank slate, and you won't regret booking here! read more

If I can give this place 100 stars, I would. I was extremely lucky to find this hidden gem. It's tucked away from all the chaos and is located on a beautiful property overlooking the delta. When my husband and I were looking for venues, this was the 3rd and LAST. We walked in and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! We immediately knew this was the one. We met with Angelica and she is everything you could ever ask for in a coordinator/owner/boss lady/planner/organizer/makes your dreams come true, etc. She was so easy to work with and extremely helpful. I would text her throughout the planning duration and she would always text back and I met up with her several times and she was so accommodating and patient. Angelica even helped out with my dogs during the reception. She fed them and let them out as we kept both dogs in their crate in her office. When you book this gorgeous place, not only will you be taken care of by Angelica, you get the beautiful chandeliers, a dog-friendly venue, access to the entire property, bridal suite, security and valet parking. The venue also comes with tables and chairs. You can have your ceremony indoors or outdoors. Both are beautiful! I worked with her caterers (Randy Peters), florist (Bella Bloom), rental company (Celebrations) and bartenders (Primo). Working with her preferred vendors made it so much easier because all of them work closely together and know the layout and ins and outs of the venue. We had our ceremony indoors with the drapes (additional fee) to section off the ceremony and reception space. Following the ceremony was cocktail hour and then the reception space was opened up to this grand ballroom. It's so amazing! It's a blank canvas so let your creativity fill the space. Angelica is always willing to help and offer ideas. I got married in October and I can't stop thinking about how magical my wedding day was and how beautiful everything was. Fate brought us to The Willow Ballroom and we sure are happy about that! After researching every single venue within a 40 mile radius, we were pretty set on one venue nearby that had a similar look we were going for. Then one day we received a marketing email for The Willow Ballroom - never heard of it and it never came up during any of my searches. It looked beautiful in photos so we decided to go check it out immediately after work. We were sold! If you book here you have to pick a DJ and caterer on their preferred list, but otherwise any other vendors are your choice! Don't worry about that slight limitation, if you even want to call it that, because they have some awesome choices to select from. We went with Jackson Catering and Function 45, both of which Angelica, the main venue coordinator and face of Willow Ballroom, is very familiar working with, so we weren't bothered by having to pick off of the preferred vendor list. The ballroom itself is huge and has so many possibilities. We were one of the first to get married outdoors and luckily The Willow added brand new turf just before our wedding date! The view from the outdoor space is beautiful with the greenery and the river in the background. There are two wooden pergolas already set along with planters, so you really don't need to do much to the space! Downside is if you're getting married in hot weather, it's pretty tough on the crowd. The bridal party is all in the shade up front but other than that it's just direct sunlight. We rented umbrellas and provided fans to help with some of that sunlight. If you wanted to avoid that, you could do your ceremony inside as well and do a room flip during cocktail hour. So many options! The indoor area is even more beautiful! Chandeliers and market lights are lit across the room, highlighting the high wooden ceilings and contrasting concrete columns. You can soften the look with drapery options but we opted to keep it without drapery to avoid breaking up the space. We barely even needed to bring any major decor. The Willow has a ton of inventory that you can use as a part of your event. We took full advantage of all of their pretty dressers and bars as table space. They even have a sweetheart table and comfy chairs already! Throughout the planning process, Angelica was highly responsive and easy to talk to. I appreciated her quick response time and level of patience with my numerous questions! She's super sweet, gives suggestions when you're unsure, and supports your decisions when you share your ideas with her. It felt like I was just talking to a friend, not a business owner. Upon booking, she will give you a checklist of important dates which makes it super easy to make sure everything is done timely. During our actual event, she was easy to reach if we were in different areas, and catered to not only the groom and me, but also our entire bridal party and family. She's extremely thoughtful and literally thinks of everything. Where else are you going to find the actual venue on-site coordinator pass out waters before the ceremony for all of the bridal party AND your dogs?! Our event moved so seamlessly. She probably came up to us once or twice during the whole thing and she didn't skip a beat. I didn't need to coordinate with anyone once different vendors arrived, she just knew where they needed to be and what they needed to do based off of my timeline and room layout, which are required by a certain due date before your event. She even had our car packed by the time the event ended, which allowed time for us to say goodbye to our guests and clean out the lounge space. I could probably keep going on and on about The Willow but I'll leave it at this. The Willow is amazing and more people need to know about it. OH MY GOSH - where do we start! We are ONE HAPPY COUPLE!!! From the first moment of being hosted by Angelica to give us our initial tour of the ballroom, we could feel the magic. It was an easy decision for us to decide to get married here, especially with access to the outdoor ceremony site (weather permitting AND IT PERMITTED ALRIGHT ), but having a back up plan option, and the ease in which Angelica ensured us everything will work out just fine. I planned our wedding myself, and Angelica was very accessible and easy to communicate with as I had questions of permissions of the venue along the way. On the day of our wedding, I had absolutely NO concerns about our hired team of vendors AND the team at The Willow Ballroom to step in and help everyone experience the wedding of our dreams!!! It was a warm day, and Angelica continued to check in on everyone's comfort levels, AC accessibility, and had a space for all my new mom friends to have pumping privacy!!!! This venue won best venue of Sacramento for a reason. It's seriously drop dead gorgeous. The ambience, the brick, the chandeliers, the drapery - everything is so romantic and beautiful. Our guests would not stop talking about how beautiful it was. If you are a bride going for a romantic and bougie feel ...this venue is for you! The venue alone is so gorgeous that the decor you provide can be minimal. Angelica is super responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I probably emailed her 100 times but she was so kind! The day of they had golf carts to drive us and our party around to get to our photo spots. The bridal suite on site is so gorgeous. I cannot stop talking about the entire property being amazing. Where do I even begin?! Our wedding at the Willow Ballroom was truly a dream come true. Angelica took all the ideas we had in our heads and went above and beyond to make sure EVERY detail was executed to absolute perfection. Our vision was "eclectic Italian" and we wanted our guests to feel like they'd been transported to an Italian family villa.  We picked our vendors from Angelica's list of preferred vendors, and every single person we worked with was exceptional in bringing that Italian vision to life - All Seasons All Reasons made the most incredible Italian meal, with the most delicious tenderloin our guests had ever eaten. Fig n Vine crafted beyond perfect orange and pink and red bouquets (including kumquats!) and jaw dropping centerpieces. Steve at Function 45 took all our crazy ideas and brought them to life in such a fun way - with guests saying he was the best DJ they'd ever seen at a wedding. Our day-of coordinator Melanie (Lekker Event Designs) was an absolute sweetheart, and was critical in bringing everything together and making sure our wedding day ran smoothly. Angelica hand picks the BEST of the best at the Willow and we were blown away by how easy and professional the entire process was.  But the best part was that we weren't just "using her venue" - we were working alongside her! She was there every day to answer our questions and offer advice, and she worked her butt off to make sure our wedding was everything we could ever dream of.  The Willow is hands down the most beautiful venue in the area, and easy to access from anywhere in Sacramento. The river provides the most exceptional breeze for a summer wedding, the vintage chandeliers and drapes add elegance, and the unique and gorgeous furniture gives the entire space the most dreamy and warm feeling. There is something truly magical about the space when you walk in. It takes your breath away. You even have access to their incredible vineyard estate for some portraits!! We definitely took advantage of the lush grape vines for the most romantic shoot as the sun set. Unbelievable!! You're not only getting a wedding at the most beautiful venue, you're getting a team of professional and loving people who want to make your wedding day the happiest day of your life. It was stress free from start to finish. We had nothing to worry about because we knew it was in Angelica and our vendors' incredibly capable and gifted hands. My family and I attended a good friend's wedding on 1/25/20 at the Willow Ballroom. Our overall thoughts on the venue and customer service (from a guest/attendee perspective): Valet Parking Although some people enjoy valet parking, we did not and would have preferred to park our own vehicle, which was NOT an option (we asked) Attendants appeared to be really young, which was of a concern to us as we did not feel comfortable leaving our BMW with inexperienced drivers Ballroom The venue itself and the décor was absolutely stunning (even though the plain brick building seems to be in the middle of nowhere). Don't let the outside fool you, the inside was turned into an absolutely beautiful wedding venue - we loved the ambience (abundance of candles, chandeliers, and flowers everywhere). We were some of the few quests to arrive first, the temperature inside the ballroom was a bit cooler/chillier than we expected and would have liked (bring a cardigan or dress warm during winter months). Temperature did get better as more guests arrived. Food The food was catered and was decent (the chicken walnut salad was very good) but it took a while for the main entrees to arrive. First entrée (chicken) arrived cold, second entrée (lamb chops) luke-warm and bland, and third entrée (salmon) was on point (flavorful and warm). Customer Service/Staff For how much our friend spent on the venue, we were not particularly impressed with the staff friendliness (or lack of) and here's why: Waitress seemed annoyed when we politely asked for an additional entrée to be brought to the table On several occasions, we observed waiters stood huddled around the bar area and chit chatting instead of checking in on guests or clearing their plates (we quickly learned that you had to flag a waiter down or go get it yourself if you needed anything) We definitely expected the staff to do a better job on checking on the guests once in a while and being friendly (instead of appearing annoyed), which would have gone a long way) On a side note: the following morning my wife contacted the place to check if she accidentally left her make-up bag at the venue. Someone by the name of Angelica answered and seemed annoyed by the call/was borderline rude. She insisted that everything has been hauled by the groom's sister and sister-in-law the night before and to check in with them. Even though Angelica "offered" to go search the area and call back, she failed to take down my wife's name or the phone number. Again, not impressed with the customer service. I do not know how to put into words the gratitude one feels when another puts so much love and energy into creating such an important memory for you, but here we go. Angelica and The Willow Ballroom are the complete package. The venue itself is stunning. Gorgeous for outdoor/ indoor ceremony with a space that effortlessly transitions into a cocktail hour, reception, and dance floor. We even had a churro truck for dessert, and it was so easy for guests to enjoy because one of the walls had a garage door that opened right up for to access- literally, it can transform into everything you could want/ need. I had obviously never planned a wedding before, and my mom and I were so stressed over all of the details. However, you DO NOT need to worry. Angelica is a true professional who has thought of it all. If you decide to go with the Willow Ballroom, you need not stress anymore. She has so many tricks and ideas up her sleeve that take your event from ordinary to extradorinaiy. She honors your vision while illuminating it with touches and additions that you yourself may never have thought of. One of the best features is all of the spaces available for pictures on your special day. The event space itself offers so many gorgeous avenues and backdrops for pictures, and if that isn't enough, you also have access to a beautiful vineyard. Backdrops that are green, rustic, industrial, intimate- The Willow Ballroom and event space has access to them all. Angelica also works with only the best. Her vendors are amazing- we literally rocked out to Backstreet Boys while takin the photos. She takes care of everything- you can even see her in one picture ensuring we had one of our signature cocktails while taking our sunset photos. I am not kidding- she is everything! What you remember most about your special day is how you felt, and Angelica and her staff will leave you feeling reassured, comfortable, and so ready to rock it out on your wedding day. On November 1st 2019 my husband and I got married at the Willow Ballroom & it was a dream come true!! From the very first time we toured the venue, & met Angelica, the manager, to the day of we felt so taken care of, and welcomed! Angelica was always prompt with communication, & did what she could to make this whole process easy & seamless for us!! This venue is gorgeous and gives me all the fairytale feelings. The chandeliers inside with the brick give this place such an romantic vibe. The drapery ties it all together (this is extra but soooo worth it), and the little touches such as the small indoor fireplace, and the windows and other decor inside just add a little extra charm! All night our guests were loving the venue and kept complimenting us on how fairytale like everything felt. This space could easily hold up to 300 but even our though our guest list was 120, at no point did it feel too big. One of the best parts is that when you book you get access to a vineyard for photos, and the river behind the venue offers a great chance to snag some sunset photos!!! I wish I could give The Willow Ballroom 100 stars! Fun fact - I saved the name of this venue on my phone years before ever getting engaged because I saw it online and was in awe of its beauty!! When I saw that they added an outdoor ceremony space, it was a done deal. You're also given access to their private estate to take pictures at and we were blown away when we pulled up. It was the perfect spot for our first look and bridal party pictures before the ceremony. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful the outdoor ceremony space was and how breathtaking the inside of the ballroom looked. Did I mention that the service, food, drinks, and entertainment were on point too?! Seriously, everything was perfect. From day 1, Angelica was a freaking rockstar to work with! She's extremely hard working and truly wants all of her couples to have the absolute best day of their lives. She helped me out with my millions of questions and was super supportive through the entire process. I honestly couldn't of asked for a better wedding venue and host. I found the Willow Ballroom on Instagram in late 2018 and was immediately skeptical; there is no way this venue is as stunning in person, right? In January of 2019, we attended their wedding open house and immediately fell in love. It was even more stunning in person. The draping, the exposed brick, the mirrors, the chandeliers... It was everything we could ever dream of, and we immediately envisioned getting married in the space. We met with Angelica a few weeks later for a private tour and to sign our contract. Upon meeting Angelica, it was very clear that she was poised, organized, trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable and kind. Basically, all of the qualities you want the person running the biggest day of your life to possess. Right away she was an integral part of the planning process, and I found her insight to be invaluable. She was super responsive whenever I shot her a question via email (and there were many!). She has a list of preferred vendors for guidance but does require you to pick a DJ and caterer off of this list (we LOVED our caterer and DJ; having to pick from her list was not at all a downside or restrictive IMO). There are so many amazing spaces within the Willow for pictures. We got married on February 22, 2020 and to our surprise it was a gorgeous and warm sunny day. Angelica and her father transported us (and our bridal party) in a golf cart around the property for pictures. Our day went off without a hitch, and I know having Angelica in charge was a huge reason why. The space is enormous, but with the draping and lots of candles we created something that felt romantic and intimate. We wanted the unique beauty of the venue to really shine and kept all decor very simple and understated. It was perfect. At the end of the night, my cousin and her husband had an extremely long wait for their Lyft, which ended up never coming. As Angelica was leaving, she offered to drop my cousin and her husband off at their AirBnB in Elk Grove. When I say that Angelica is the kind of person you want to work closely with for your big day, I mean it. I cannot recommend The Willow Ballroom enough. Where do I even begin with this AMAZING venue and it's WONDERFUL owner, Angelica? I held my wedding here a few weeks ago and it was nothing short of incredible. The process of planning a wedding was so smooth and easy, I couldn't have asked for anything better. First, Angelica is a true pro at what she does. When first booking, their outdoor ceremony area was not landscaped at all, but Angelica talked about all the plans they had for the space. I trusted her vision, and my word did it pay off! I've attached a picture of how beautiful the space looks now. You have to choose from the list of caterers Angelica provides and also choose from a DJ on her list as well. At first, I was weary of this because I had heard horror stories from friends who had gotten married and had terrible experiences at other venues with their vendors, but I had ZERO issues. Angelica is particular with who she allows into her space and I am confident i wouldn't have been disappointed with whoever I chose from the list. My caterer (Jackson Catering & Events) and DJ (Extreme Pro DJs) were AMAZING. Lastly, the space is GORGEOUS. I received compliments all night from guests about how beautiful the space was. The brick building, neutral concrete floor, beautiful chandeliers, and drapery (additional cost) make this space a perfect "blank" slate. You could decorate it up or leave it as is and your event would look stunning. WOW, where to even begin?! When originally looking for venues, my husband and I reached out to this venue but they were booked for our wedding date. As we were touring 2 other venues one day, Angelica emailed me that the our wedding date became available (THANK GOD), so we quickly left the the other venues we were touring as we weren't very happy with them, and immediately came to check out the Willow Ballroom. We didn't need to stay there longer than 5 minutes to realize this was THE ONE. THE VENUE OF MY DREAMS. When originally thinking about our wedding, we knew we wanted a candle-lit, romantic vibe wedding. Upon entering the Willow Ballroom, we saw a BEAUTIFUL large venue, BEAUTIFUL chandeliers, rustic and romantic vibes, sitting on a beautiful river, and automatically fell in love. From the very beginning, Angelica made us feel welcomed. She helped us tour the venue and explained to us about the packages she offers. My husband and I stood in the spot where we were potentially going to be married, looked at each other, and agreed this was the venue that we wanted to get married in. We booked the venue THAT DAY, we didn't even want to look any further and risk losing our wedding date. As far as choosing vendors, Angelica gave us options for preferred vendors, the only vendors you need to choose off the preferred vendor list are catering and DJ, as those vendors are familiar with the venue. We went with Jackson Catering and absolutely loved them, so you won't be disappointed in going with her preferred vendors and it makes it easier for everyone! :) Angelica made the planning process and months leading up to the wedding EXTREMELY easy. She sent an organized timeline of what we needed to get done and when it needed to be in by. My favorite was a seating chart website that she uses to plan the seating chart, which made it SOOOOO easy to place guests and print out a seating chart! I heard from friends that have gotten married that that's usually a nightmare to plan, but with the website she used and we got to use to free, it made it EXTREMELY easy! Angelica made it so easy to reach out and communicate with her via text or email, as her responses were always prompt and helpful. She was also accommodating in allowing us to visit the venue again a couple of times just to see the space! On the day of the wedding, when our bridal party arrived, Angelica let us use her office building to hang out in while we waited to start the ceremony. Angelica was also the day of coordinator and made it extremely smooth and easy for our parents and family members who came to do some last minute things before the ceremony. ALSO, an awesome perk, all the guests get valet parking, which everyone loved! Once we were ready to start the ceremony, we got a ride from a staff member on a golf cart to the door (the same golf cart that was utilized to transport my husband and I around the back of the venue when we snuck out for sunset photos-so convenient). Angelica helped my husband and I, our parents, and the rest of the bridal party to calm our nerves before we all walked in, as she stood outside with us and guided us all in. I couldn't believe how ABSOLUTELY beautiful the venue looked when we walked in for our wedding. WOW. The long white drapes, the chandeliers, the candles, the dim, romantic lighting. All I can say is WOW. This was by far wedding venue that I had always dreamed of. Angelica made our wedding day so extremely smooth and relaxing, the only times she would come up to my husband and I was to give us water or ask if we wanted coffee, the rest she took care of herself. Talk about a stress free, relaxing wedding! My husband and I were SO highly impressed with her professionalism, care, organization, and every other service she provided. Our guests didn't stop raving about the venue for weeks after the wedding. Everyone was in LOVE with this hidden gem! And since it's a fairly new venue, not too many of our guests even knew about it! But they definitely know about it now! One of our guests owns a venue in another state and he is difficult to impress when it comes to venues, and he was SO highly impressed with this one!!!! Another perk of this venue, you don't have to go very far for photos! We used the beautiful outdoor space for wedding photos as well as if you book with the Willow Ballroom, you have access to a gorgeous private estate with vineyards for photos too! So perfect and easy for our limo driver, bridal party, photographer, and videographer! If you're looking for a venue, LOOK NO FURTHER, you will be so, so, SO incredibly happy if you choose the Willow Ballroom for your big day. My wife and I hosted our wedding reception at The Willow Ballroom and it was a night we will never forget. Upon entering the venue during our initial tour, we were in awe and fell in love. We knew right then and there that we wanted to have our reception there. From booking to our wedding day, Angelica worked closely with us, our wedding planner, and vendors to ensure a seamless reception. The venue itself is a large, open space. It is very customizable in terms of layout and design, and our vision truly came to life. There are also many areas for photo opportunities in and around the venue. Unique venue with beautiful Chandeliers, my daughter had the best time at her Quinceñera, Angelica (the owner) is a very nice lady, she's very accommodating, and always on top of things. The only problem is they don't have AC and the Quinceñeara was on the middle of July, I rented 4 small AC units, that didn't work because of the size of the venue, also we had to finish the party at 10pm which I thought to be early, It will be nice to have the venue until at least midnight. Other than that everything was perfect, I will do it all over again the only thing I will change is the date since they don't have AC I will choose another month that is not so hot. I hope Angelica installs AC units for next summer! read more

What an absolutely beautiful venue for a special event!!! Came here in May for a wedding. Note: this is a review from a guest's prospective. Location: It's located right after Elk Grove in a city called Hood. After you exit, it was a short drive thru kind of a not so pretty looking neighborhood (which is why I was surprise such a beautiful spot as Willow Ballroom existed). Safe area and although there was a liquor store (and maybe something else on same street) it didn't bother me. Pro's: -beautiful warm spacious interior with luscious white curtain drapes -large space (not sure how many people it accommodates but my guess is a very comfortable 300+ -great entrance, large dbl doors and they also had a huge garage like which allowed entrance and exit during dinner and kept the place nice and cool -open concept with beautiful beams and high ceilings -valet parking, venue is also gated and perfect if you have kids with you! They are within sight and can run around in front area and play safely -extremely friendly staff all around from the coordinator, waiters and valet workers -clean and bright space! Con's: -main road, not sure what they can do to block the view of houses across the street but would be nice to be outside and not have that view (maybe getting some tall trees planted? -bathroom size was decent with 3 stalls for the ladies BUT, there was no baby changer or that I saw of. Had to get creative when the little one needed a diaper change. -no kitchen so there setup covered the prep of kitchen but for a wedding venue and as a guest to see the thru into there space was not a pretty peak. Maybe improvements on how to seal off that portion better... (our table was located one table away from the kitchen area where they were set up) Even with the minor cons, this venue was hands down a gem and everything about this wedding was simple but so gorgeous! The Willow Ballroom was everything I could have imagined and more! My husband and I live in San Francisco and decided to have our wedding out in Sacramento because we LOVE this space that much! Nothing like it. It has the industrial, chic vibe we were looking for. The cement floors, brick walls, chandeliers, drapes, high ceilings - it was a beautiful open canvas to get creative in! Any idea we had, Angelica worked well with us to make sure we can execute it. The space is romantic and trust me all your guests will be in awe when they see it. Having our wedding here was an enjoyable experience and Angelica runs an amazing establishment. She is detailed, responsive, and we knew we were in great hands. When we walked in for a tour basically a year ago we immediately said "this is where we are getting married". Booked it a few days later and boom, fast forward 1 year and Angelica made our dreams come true We fell in love with the brick building and beautiful chandeliers. There is so much you can do with this venue's layout. Don't forget to add the drapery as it makes everything that much more romantic and gorgeous! Angelica was there for us during the whole planning process and answered my zillion questions promptly. The day of our wedding Angelica made sure everything ran smoothly and honestly we could not have done it without her. All the little things you don't think about, she does. A little overdue on the review, but the memories can never be forgotten. My first time being in a wedding was for one of my well-cherished middle school friends, Ashley. I only expect her to find the best things in town and to plan her own wedding beautifully, so when I showed up to the Willow I thought, "Yup. This is perfect." The outdoor venue is just spacious enough to have all your loved ones together, but small enough to keep it intimate with those you've invited. Having the Delta in the background made for a beautiful background (and a nice breeze on a very hot, summer, August day!) The bridal suite had plenty of mirrors and chairs for all our selfie and resting needs. And we were even given a huge fan to help cool us down. One suggestion is having an area, or at least a nail above the window, for brides to be able to hang up their dresses for a photo. Thankfully, I had the height to get the dress up there, but I was nervous at any second that it would fall down. The reception area is a lovely, open space with lots of wood, metals, and glass all intertwined with one another. The perfect space for you to fill with your own decor or leave it as is. It's already dreamy enough. The staff were super on top of things, but big shout out to Angelica. She was super nice and attentive the whole day and even put away all the decorations for us!! That was such a kind gesture. She totally went above and beyond to do that, which allowed us to celebrate our bride and groom even longer, without thinking about the cleanup. Overall, I would recommend this venue for those far and local who are looking for an indoor/outdoor venue. The rustic charm is the draw, the service is the signature on the dotted line. read more

Attended a wedding this last weekend for one of my best friends and the venue was STUNNING! It seems like it's one of those hidden gems tucked away in the heart of Northern California. The outdoor wedding space: The wedding I attended had their outdoor ceremony right by the lake on artificial turf (makes for a nice, green setting) with barns in the background for a rustic, chic atmosphere. Northern California gets hot during the summer but Angelica Whaley did a wonderful job coordinating the venue set up so attendees and the bridal party were well shaded and well hydrated - before the bridal party entered the ceremony, she brought us cups of water (and even some for the pups of honor!). Very thoughtful. I also have to say Angelica kept the whole bridal party and photographers on schedule. She continued to do time checks for us so we didn't have to worry and could enjoy the moment with family and friends. The bridal room where the bridal party got ready was very classy and bright - perfect for photos! The space was well decorated with a light color scheme, which will go perfectly for any bride's color pallet. The reception space is large with twinkle lights and chandeliers, making for a very intimate setting. They also have two women's bathrooms and one men's restroom in the reception space, perfect for large parties or small. Parking is also very convenient onsite. For our event, they did valet parking, however the bridal party could park nearest to the bridal suite making for an easy transfer of bridal materials. I love this space and would attend another event here or host an event here in the future. One recommendation for the venue owners: The attic space from the bridal suite to the outdoor ceremony space could be dressed up a little bit more - perhaps sectioning off the room so the wedding party can take photos on their way out to the ceremony. read more

My wife and I just had our wedding at the Willow Ballroom. The venue is right on the river. I loved the nature aspect and scenery as we had the ceremony outside. We had the reception inside. Which is large enough for 250 guests. The inside had a rustic feel and charm. I loved the brick interior as well as the wood beams to give the inside a beautiful touch of character. Angelica was in charge of managing the venue and helped us throughout the wedding to make sure everything was taken care of. She even came in the day of the wedding and searched for a guests lost keys at the end of the night! read more

They took an old brick building and turned it into a pretty nice wedding venue. It was pretty cool how they draped the inside with white curtains and all. And they had some cool chandlers. It seemed like they were pretty new at this as it took them a really long time to figure out how to move the tables around and get chairs set up. Unfortunately there were a few mishaps and a safely concern as well. The first thing I encountered was the long wait to get our car valeted. there wasn't an option to self park. Then during the wedding the sound system was not very clear and it was really hard to understand what they were saying. There's no heat so we were all freezing. The floor got really slippery and a couple of my family members slipped and fell. The bathroom was kinda makeshift like they just put up a couple of walls.
