I have never left a review on Yelp but I had to for the Willow Cat Hotel. This place is exceptional! I recently brought my cat for a ten day stay there. Scott is amazing and clearly cares very much about his furry guests. The Willow is very clean and the set up safely keeps cats in their own space without them being isolated. I received an update on how my girl was a couple days into her stay and received a quick response to questions. Scott was also very flexible with drop off/pick up times. We were hosting a party at our home, and since some of our guests were allergic to cats, we needed a safe place to bring our baby Luna for an overnight stay. Susan and Mike are true cat lovers! I felt so relieved to have found this cat hotel! I was at complete ease during my camping trip knowing my male and female cats were being well taken care of. I got email updates and pictures, too. I was worried about my male cat as he has become more anxious and well, downright mean as he has gotten older. He's on medication to help with this. Was so happy to find a cat hotel that seemed to be perfect. Clean and great reviews. At first they were kind and accommodating and even upgraded my rom for free. That's where the good ended. I found out my kitten had not been eating for two days and asked if O should cut my trip early to get him and the response was yes. So we came home that next morning only to have to be there at an exact time. As anyone who travels knows, you can't always guarantee exactly to the minute when you will arrive, each time I asked for certain times I was told they were out delivering cats or helping other cats OFF property. After a frustrating back and forth asked if there is not someone there at all times and the response was aggressive and scathing. That is not how you respond to a customer asking a question based on the information they are getting. Susan needs to rethink how she responds to customers. I can understand someone not being there all night but absolutely should be on premises during the day and every day with peoples animals there to be cared for. We left our 2 cats with Susan and Mike when we went on a short trip out of state a few months back. They were friendly and communicative, keeping us up to date on how they were doing. One of my cats is attached to me and handles changes poorly, and when he stopped eating, Susan called several vets nearby and offered to take him in if he hadn't eaten by the following day. I'm so happy that I brought my boy here. He's about 9 months old, requires attention but is a little nervous around strangers. He's been at other pet boarding locations before but did not eat much and hissed at others. I told my concerns to Susan and she reassured me that they monitor him and allow him space if he's feeling uncomfortable being around other cats/people. Luckily, he didn't need it. Buddy spent four nights and seemed so comfortable by the last picture. It's clear that he felt comfortable with Mike and Susan. I appreciate the attention Mike and Susan are able to provide to ensure their feline guests are comfortable. The rooms are spacious and tall. I was also able to bring his toys, blankets, and treats. I think they provide food but we brought his own food. They also have an upstairs areas so the cats can roam or if they need alone time. There was also a last minute cancellation for the first room (closest by the window) so I appreciated Susan for letting me know so our kitten could be there. Overall, we were able to rest easy during our vacation knowing our Buddy was able to eat and enjoy his stay. It's cat boarding only and they provide updates with photos. I can't say enough about how happy and healthy both my cats were after a recent 16-day stay at Willow Cat Hotel! Scott is the most caring, responsible, and professional caretaker I have had the privilege of meeting and I wouldn't trust my babies to be in anyone else's care. They have stayed in other boarding places before but after only a few days' stay, they've come home with matted fur, a look of fear in their eyes, bloated tummies, etc. Scott went above and beyond to ensure that my cats were adjusting well to their new environment, looking after them each day as if they were his own. Susan and Mike are the best! They took exceptional care of our cats while we were on vacation! Our cats are young and we were reluctant to leave them with just anybody. When we spoke with Susan we knew right away she was the perfect person. She is a feline expert who knows so much about cats from her many years of experience and she truly cares about them. She knew our cats were young and rather than put them in a standard cage like other boarding places, she housed them in a luxurious, sprawling play area where they could run around and exercise. These are not "lap cats" by any means and Susan knew confining them would not be in their best interest. Instead, she did what was best for them because she personally treats the cats like her own loved ones. I am 56 years old and have never had a boarding facility give such personal attention tailored so perfectly for the individual cat's needs. I would also like to add that their customer service is fabulous. Susan and Mike answer the phone personally without annoying phone trees or long hold times. They are passionate about taking care of the cats and it shows. Susan even sent me pictures of our kitties twice to put me at ease that they were doing great in spite of their young age and being away from home for the first time. Their prices are also very reasonable as you can tell they are not in the business to rip people off, but instead to help families who need boarding for their beloved cats. I was scrambling to find a place to board my cat for the winter holidays, and after reading the positive reviews for The Willow Cat Hotel, I contacted the owners and asked about their availability. Susan responded quickly and fortunately was able to accommodate my cat for a 3-week stay. The onboarding process was quick and easy, after I provided proof of my cat's rabies vaccination. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Each cat has their own spacious enclosure, and receive individualized attention and play time with Susan and Mike. They also provide both wet and dry food, depending on your cat's preference, and have experience caring for cats with special needs. I had never left my cat for more than a day or two, and was quite nervous about leaving her for three weeks. However, after meeting Susan and Mike and touring the facilities, my mind was put at ease. My cat could not have been in better hands. It was immediately clear to me that Susan and Mike care deeply about cats and would take great care of mine. I especially appreciated the fact that Susan sent me regular updates on my cat via email, with photos and videos attached. We needed to find an alternative cat boarding place because our usual place was going to be closed during the month of October 2022. I found the Willow Cat Hotel on Yelp, called Susan and scheduled a visit to see the facility in early August. Even though Willow Cat Hotel is a 30-minute drive from our house, we liked what we saw and reserved a large cat condo for 6 days in October. I had previously made reservations at our usual cat hotel for 10 days in September 2022. On a Saturday night, I got a text from our usual cat hotel that there was a fire in their building that affected their space, and they would be closed for an indefinite period. I needed to find a place to board our cat on Monday (just 1.5 days later) or I would have to cancel our Hawaii vacation. I immediately called Susan and left a desperate voicemail asking if there was space for our sweet cat on short notice. Susan called me right back and said yes! Susan and Mike from Willow Cat Hotel saved our Hawaii vacation on 1.5 days' notice!!! Our cat's first visit to Willow Cat Hotel went well. Susan emailed 3 times with status and pictures of our cat while we were in Hawaii. When we got back from Hawaii, we confirmed a time to pick our cat up. Things went great with Willow Cat Hotel. It's a beautiful and clean facility and just for cats. Susan and Mike are definitely cat lovers, wear masks, very responsive to emergencies, and are just nice people. Susan and her team run a very impressive cat hotel. The facility itself is located in a modern building and the hotel is very clean and organized. We are particularly concerned about fleas both for the comfort and well-being of our boy but also because I have really bad reactions to fleas myself. So to see that they ask for a flea bath prior to dropoff and also perform a quick test for any evidence of fleas at dropoff was a huge relief for us. While we still gave our boy a bath upon pickup, we noticed zero signs of fleas whatsoever and a very happy cat. This is not a huge operation so while you may need to be just a little more accommodating in terms of timing, you can be rest assured that their smaller scale allows them to provide the care and attention these cats love. I boarded my cat here at the Willow Cat Hotel for 4 days 7/3-7/7. I toured the facility prior to making a reservation and it appeared clean and orderly. I read the previous reviews and I was happy that many previous guests listed that they got regular updates about their cats. I communicated that my cat had never been previously boarded and is anxious when she is away from home and the owner assured me that she is very experienced with first time boarders. I dropped my cat off with food and supplements to help with her anxiety, and instructions on how often she was to be fed. While on my trip I didn't receive any updates about my cat until I reached out to ask about her. I was given one short email response which I have attached. I assumed all was well and that I'd be contacted if anything was wrong. When I went to pick my cat up I was told that she hadn't been eating much but besides that all was well. Upon returning to the hotel I noticed an unpleasant fecal smell in the air the owner stated that a nearby cat had ibs. When I went to transfer my cat to her carrier she immediately began to hiss and try to scratch me. My cat was behaving as if she didn't recognize me and had experienced something terrible in her time away. It took around 45 minutes of myself, my husband, and the owners trying before my cat was able to be put into a carrier and taken home. Once she was home she behaved normally outside of her eating habits. My cat refused food for 5 days after being boarded. I became so concerned that I sought veterinary advice, I wasn't able to tell the vet how long she hadn't been eating because the hotel didn't communicate exactly how long she was refusing food while in their care. Also the fecal smell I mentioned previously embedded itself into my cat's fur as well as her belongings everything I sent there had to be washed or thrown away. I do not fault the hotel for my cat's reaction to being boarded as she is a homebody however, the lack of communication and the smell left on her is unacceptable. read more

Susan and Mike are the best! Stuff: meeting with Susan and Mike are by appointment only and they made sure to have only one customer at a time. I think that really helps cats in the hotel to not been intimidated by too many strangers during their stays. SUSAN and Mike are real cat lovers. I brought my own cans and they were curious where I got them from. They want to make sure they can get all the brands that their customers wanted for their cats. It's this type of attention to detail that makes me and my cat happy customers and we'll definitely return in the future. Environment: clean, quiet and plenty of sunlight.
