    Susan and Mike are true cat lovers! I felt so relieved to have found this cat hotel! I was at complete ease during my camping trip knowing my male and female cats were being well taken care of. I got email updates and pictures, too. I was worried about my male cat as he has become more anxious and well, downright mean as he has gotten older. He's on medication to help with this. Susan and Mike know cats! I felt we were all on the same page on how to accommodate him and his special needs. That's why I felt so comfortable with Willow Cat Hotel! And guess what, my boy did great and he behaved himself. I booked my two cats separate suites next to each other as they don't get along. When we all got home they were completely relaxed like they were actually on vacation from home too. Can't say that is typical behavior of all cats as they can be sensitive to change. My cats were happy though. I really can't recommend this place enough. Maggie and Prince will be back one day for our next vacation next year.

    I left a Google review and thought I should leave one here as well for anyone who is looking for a nice place to board your cat(s). We cannot thank enough The Willow Cat Hotel! This was our very first time boarding our cats and it was a long 18 nights stay. This place is immaculately clean with big condo inside each cage. Susan and Mike welcomed us and took time to make sure we felt comfortable leaving our cats. We received regular updates with photos which we could tell they were relaxed and in good care!

    We left our 2 cats with Susan and Mike when we went on a short trip out of state a few months back. They were friendly and communicative, keeping us up to date on how they were doing. One of my cats is attached to me and handles changes poorly, and when he stopped eating, Susan called several vets nearby and offered to take him in if he hadn't eaten by the following day. Fortunately he started eating again! Susan and Mike are cat people themselves and I think they are fully equipped to handle curveballs your cats will throw at them.

    I am so glad I decided to board my 2 kittens (8 mo and 4 mo) here for 6 nights while I was out of state. This was my first time leaving my kittens and I was very wary, but I chose Willow Cat Hotel because they had the best reviews by far (I even drove all the way from Santa Monica!). The reviews are true- Mike and Susan really take care of your cats and leave you feeling rest assured they are in good hands. It's obvious they really care about your pet. The facility was very clean and quiet, had spacious kennels, and had cat condos (which my kittens LOVED!) I will definitely be using them again for my next vacation and recommending them. Thank you, Mike and Susan!

    first day

    I'm so happy that I brought my boy here. He's about 9 months old, requires attention but is a little nervous around strangers. He's been at other pet boarding locations before but did not eat much and hissed at others. I told my concerns to Susan and she reassured me that they monitor him and allow him space if he's feeling uncomfortable being around other cats/people. Luckily, he didn't need it. Buddy spent four nights and seemed so comfortable by the last picture. It's clear that he felt comfortable with Mike and Susan. I appreciate the attention Mike and Susan are able to provide to ensure their feline guests are comfortable. The rooms are spacious and tall. I was also able to bring his toys, blankets, and treats. I think they provide food but we brought his own food. They also have an upstairs areas so the cats can roam or if they need alone time. There was also a last minute cancellation for the first room (closest by the window) so I appreciated Susan for letting me know so our kitten could be there. Overall, we were able to rest easy during our vacation knowing our Buddy was able to eat and enjoy his stay. It's cat boarding only and they provide updates with photos. We are definitely planning to bring him back here the next time we are out of town :)

    Susan and Mike are the best! They took exceptional care of our cats while we were on vacation! Our cats are young and we were reluctant to leave them with just anybody. When we spoke with Susan we knew right away she was the perfect person. She is a feline expert who knows so much about cats from her many years of experience and she truly cares about them. She knew our cats were young and rather than put them in a standard cage like other boarding places, she housed them in a luxurious, sprawling play area where they could run around and exercise. These are not "lap cats" by any means and Susan knew confining them would not be in their best interest. Instead, she did what was best for them because she personally treats the cats like her own loved ones. I am 56 years old and have never had a boarding facility give such personal attention tailored so perfectly for the individual cat's needs. I would also like to add that their customer service is fabulous. Susan and Mike answer the phone personally without annoying phone trees or long hold times. They are passionate about taking care of the cats and it shows. Susan even sent me pictures of our kitties twice to put me at ease that they were doing great in spite of their young age and being away from home for the first time. Their prices are also very reasonable as you can tell they are not in the business to rip people off, but instead to help families who need boarding for their beloved cats. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

However, it was a Saturday, and the actual holiday was not until Monday. Wanting to avoid another wasted trip, I called this morning to confirm that tours were being conducted and nothing was needed like an appointment. The person I spoke with confirmed that tours were available between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., which matches the information posted on your website. When I arrived, I was informed that I could not go on a tour because the manager was not there and had to take a dog to the veterinarian. Apparently, no other staff member was able to conduct a tour. However, nowhere on the website does it state that tours are dependent on a specific individual being present or that only the manager is authorized to conduct them. Had that information been disclosed, I could have avoided making a second unnecessary trip. When I explained to the front desk employee that I had specifically called this morning to confirm tours before making the drive, she suggested that I may have spoken with a call center because she had been the only person answering phones all morning. I clarified that I had been transferred directly to the South Bay/Carson location and confirmed that this was the location I called. She repeated that she had been the only person answering phones. I then asked what I could do differently next time, since this was now the second time I had been turned away despite following the information provided. Her advice was to call ahead and specifically ask for the South Bay location--which is exactly what I had already done. When I asked if there was a direct phone number for the location so I could avoid this issue in the future, I was told there wasn't one. At this point, I will not be returning. Being turned away twice despite making a good-faith effort to verify tour availability reflects a lack of organization, communication, and courtesy toward prospective clients. If a facility cannot provide consistent information to prospective customers, it raises concerns about reliability and the overall experience I could expect if I entrusted my dog to their care.

First, I would NOT recommend that anyone take their pets to this location or patronized any of their subsidiaries or specialists' referrals. I will say that the ladies in the front desk area are lovely, sweet people and over the years, I would often bring or purchase them with holiday gifts for their service, however the recent change in Management is horrendous! I've learned that Manny is the "new" Practice Manager and in my opinion is doing a horrible job! I've learned that several clients, including myself, have recently left this location due to lack of accurate information, gaslighting patient for clinical errors and the poor service/response rate from management. I recently called out errors on one of my pet's vaccinations chart and had to provide my own receipts to Manny and team for them to even acknowledge the inaccuracy. He insisted that he was correct until I presented the receipt showing otherwise. This is poor leadership; I never got an apologize for that! I recently had to endure a terrible conversation with Manny today where he was just determined to be RIGHT, rather than engage in active listening, again, terrible leadership qualities, zero accountabilit! If he is in charge over there, I would advise pet owners to steer clear! I have never written anything negative about this clinic until today! That means something. I decided to follow Dr. Sanchez at Animal Hospital of South Bay in Palos Verdes, CA. She is a compassionate leader who deeply cares about the patient and owner. I will only work with providers, referrals or clinics who put their patients FIRST! I had an awful experience at western Vet and the dental group that they referred me to recently. Good leaders take responsibility- you will not find that at this location anymore. BEWARE PET OWNERS!

And it takes something special for us to feel like we can let someone new into our home and watch our babies. Teri and her daughter Tera fit the bill exactly. They ended up staying way longer than they probably had anticipated during the pre-visit (when they first got to meet our cats) because they were both so easy to talk to and they had the patience to wait for our cats to get brave enough to come out of hiding and meet them. We received pictures on Facebook which helped us feel like our babies were being well cared for while we were away, we got a little day-by-day summary of how each one did for us to read when we came back, and we were given their personal cell numbers in case we needed anything. Seriously, it doesn't get any better than these fantastic pet lovers. And their rates can't be beat. Teri and Tera, from both my wife and I, thank you so much and we can't wait to have you come back the next time we go out of town. Summary: You'd be crazy not to hire Teri's Sitting Service to watch your loved animals.

Teri, me, & dog did a quick meet before she started and my dog took to her immediately. Any special requests like eye drops or vitamins, Teri is very helpful in doing that too. It's nice to come home to notes to update on what they did during her visit and seeing (reading) how my dog settled into having Teri around by doing all the silly things she does makes me smile. Our dog is our baby and it's a great peace of mind to find someone who is trustworthy (she has key to the house) and LOVES my dog as much as we do is truly priceless.
