Stopped by the window on a lazy Sunday morning. It was not too crowded, and we were happy they had a small parking lot to park in so we could avoid paying for parking. We ordered the breakfast burrito, and the breakfast burger with a fried egg on top. Both were very tasty, and I also got the jalapeño sauce to go with them. Service was quick and we liked the meal

Took about 13 visits here to finally get a day and time with a small line and finally got a cheeseburger ($5). It was very good but it's more of an appetizer or desert. Not the best value for $5 because it's small. If I was relying on this for my dinner, I would need 2 to 3 of them. And you can tell it was fresh beef. I had to spit out a few little bones spurs you get in hamburger meat. Maybe next time I will try the vegetable bowl for 8.00. This is type of fast food restaurant that I would never tell anyone to not go, but not one I would tell people to run to. It's fine for what it is. Glad they are here in case of emergency. Employees are fast food fine. No parking except pickup, just park on the opposite side down the street for up to 2 hours.

Genuinely decent burger but nothing special. I would've been just as happy at In-N-Out to be honest. The burger was def better, the patties were tasty, but the bun was almost TOO soft... kinda disintegrated. But the fries were not amazing. I would come back if I was in the area and overall had like a 6/10 experience. Cashier was superrr nice though. Tip: extra sauce brought my burger from a 3/5 to a 4/5! Total for a double cheeseburger, fries and Diet Coke: $17.40 Note: street parking and 4 20-minute spots out front. Had no problem finding parking today.

The Win-Dow is one of my favorite smash burger spots in LA, and I'm thrilled they've opened this new location. Having visited their original spot at American Beauty, I'm happy to report that the quality here is perfectly on par. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger ($7.75), which comes grilled with onions, American cheese, pickles, and their signature house sauce. Like any good smash burger, it's on the salty side, but it's well-balanced and nowhere near as overwhelming as other places. Finding a high-quality smash burger for under $8 on Montana Ave in Santa Monica is an absolute steal. The freshly made lemonade ($2.50) is also a standout--it's refreshing, reasonably priced, and a great value. Be prepared for lines, as this spot is popular, but if you time it right--around 4 p.m. for an early dinner--you can usually beat the crowds. Highly recommended if you're looking for a solid, affordable meal!

I love The Win-Dow, and this location is great! I like the indoor/open seating area. The ordering and pick-up windows are inside. I went for lunch on a Wednesday at 1pm, and there was a consistent but relatively short line that moved pretty quickly. I think we waited for about 10 minutes for our food after ordering. The brussels sprouts are new to the menu, so we had to try them! They were delicious. Very flavorful, not too salty. They were crunchy with a light crisp. The burgers are among the best you can get at the price. The cheese is perfectly melted, the meat is well-seasoned, the bun is soft, and the sauce and pickles compliment it all perfectly - this is one of the only burgers that I don't dip in additional ketchup. The fries are great - also well-seasoned, and consistent in texture. They're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And I liked the herby ranch dressing with them. I didn't get a drink, so one double cheeseburger + fries were under $15. If you want water, you have to ask for it at the windows. There was a staff member regularly going around and wiping down the vacated tables, which I really appreciated!

The burgers here are decent flavor wise, but kind of small. I normally eat one burger at in n out and I needed almost 2 here... Fries were good but not the best, I feel like they used to be better! Service was okay, the cashier was friendly but the pickup lady was aggressively rude. They also made my burger wrong 2 times, which it's not my fuller the kitchen didn't follow the ticket to remove the pickles and sauce. Inside is 3 small tables and then it's mostly just bar seating. No one was wiping tables so it wasn't particularly clean. This location was really busy, the one in Venice is nicer even though this is newer. Would honestly just go to the other location or in n out Altogether

The Win-Dow is a welcome addition to town with their reasonable prices for smashburgers and other goodies. There's a parking lot, and the design was thoughtfully done - not a ton of tables, but plenty of seating and lots of fresh air. There are also two individual restrooms at the back that seemed like they had been recently cleaned. I ordered the cheeseburger, and it was a good one. Not life-changing, but way better than In-N-Out, imo. The crispy brussels sprouts soaked a lot of grease into the paper, but they were tasty and a welcome change from just fries, which were just ok after we got them home - they might have been better had we eaten there. Sadly, the shakes are only available if you order in person, which is why we went through the trouble of standing in line instead of just ordering online. Strawberry and vanilla were both good, though the strawberry had the better presentation. Both had too much whipped cream and sprinkles for my taste, but the quality of the shakes were better than what you get at Shake Shack. My daughter said the lemonade was good - my husband said it was just lemonade - and there was so much ice there was hardly any liquid in there. All in all, we were pretty happy with the food there, but I wouldn't order the lemonade again if I didn't have to.

We saw that Win-Dow had recently opened when we were driving around Santa Monica and figured it would be a good idea to stop by and give it a try since we are really big Smashburger fans. A few thoughts... 1. I'll give them grace because it was opening weekend, but the line was about an hour from the second. We stood in line until when we got our food. The overall experiencing really unorganized they just need a little bit better work. They only had one person at the register who wasn't completely trained. It looked like he was still getting trained, but opening weekend is probably not the best time to train a new employee. Also, it wasn't great that he didn't say like welcome or how can I help you? He literally just stared at my face until I was like OK here's my order. 2. The quality of the food is great. The strawberry shake is probably one of the best strawberry shakes I've ever had. It's really late and you could tell that the ingredients are very fresh. The fries are spot on. They were a little salty. The burgers were really good. My only concern is that one of the burgers did have a little bit of a chewy piece in there which was ... also they didn't get my order exactly right I had asked for one burger without sauce and that wasn't what I got but overall, the onions were caramelized perfectly, and it was just a really affordable good burger.

The Win-Dow is a great spot to drop in if you are looking to get a quick lunch in. It's clean, fast, and the food is quite good. The burger is really well priced and good quality. It reminds me a lot of 7th Street Burger in NYC which is all the rave over there. The fries were good. They are pretty thin, which isn't my preference but they were fluffy and crispy with good flavor and went very well with the Jalapeño aioli, which was delicious. The lemonade was fresh with a good amount of acidity which was nice and refreshing. Definitely will drop by when I'm in a rush or really craving a burger!

4.5 Stopped by this morning due to a very impromptu burger craving and the Cheeseburger instantly took spot as one of the best smash burgers I have ever had. I guess affordability is an intentional concept and let me tell you... burger and fries under $10 is definitely speaking to that -- especially when the food quality is so high. The fries were the perfect thickness and crunch and my only qualm with the burger is that I wish I'd gotten two patties instead of one for added meat flavor. Otherwise this was a delicious experience and I'm excited to come back!

Thumbs Up on the Montana Avenue location of The Win-Dow. First visit today for this Venice semi-regular. Smashburger with fries and lemonade were delicious. My lunch mate enjoyed her Grain Bowl. Really like the ambience and the indoor-outdoor design with the counters and stools.

The concept of the bun's exterior being on the inside with the patty is completely new to me and gives it a different texture. I recently had a smash burger elsewhere that was overly salty, but not here. While the price is a bit steep, I'm happy to pay more knowing they use quality ingredients. They are very efficient; I received my burger 10 minutes after ordering. However, the burgers aren't very filling. I ordered the Grilled Double Smash ($13.54), and while it was very good, I still felt a little hungry afterwards.I loved the crispy edges, the sweetness of the onions, and the butter pickles. There's so much to love about this spot. Despite ordering at the kiosk, the customer service was great. The staff was happy to offer suggestions and help. They use the best ingredients, with 100% organic, grass-fed patties, and they don't use any seed oils. You can check out their website for more details. I love eating burgers with my son, and I'll definitely bring him here again, knowing they use better ingredients. This is a place that cares about its customers and community.

The Waygu beef is fresh and they do not over season the burger. They let the natural goodness of a quality beef patty do all the talking. There is plenty of flavor but the burger is not overly greasy. The buns are made in house, as well as the pickles and they both deliver. I love a burger with shredded lettuce. The French fries are prepared fresh and cooked to perfection for my taste. I like my fries slightly crispy and a little dark. They showed up well done and almost too hot to eat. I tried their in house sauce called "Matty Sauce" and still don't know how to feel about it. It was explained to me as their version of thousand island but there was an after taste to the sauce I still can't describe. I decided I didn't care for the sauce but never stopped dipping my fries in it. So in the end, I guess I ended up liking it? I feel you will either really like it, or really dislike it. I tried both the chocolate and vanilla shakes and preferred the vanilla. The shakes are made with house made ice cream and serve their purpose. I liked the fact they have a dispenser just for water and ice. Overall I say drop what you are doing and go get a HiHo Double. The most amazing thing about this burger is its simplicity and freshness. Two things that are often overlooked and/or not well done. If you want bells and whistles go elsewhere. If you want a really, really fresh and well made burger at In N Out prices, HiHo delivers.

I had the chicken soup and the Steak & Eggs and my guest had the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup. I subbed the potatoes for mushrooms and my one problem with this place is that the food is never really hot which is bothersome. How do you not offer soup once poured into the bowl? Their prices are not cheap as the chicken soup was $9, the steak & eggs $32 (this was off the breakfast menu), $16.50 for the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup and $6.50 for the Arnold Palmer which is a complete rip-off. The total bill was $70.54 with Tax and a cash Tip of $15.00 which was generous given the service and the fact the place was empty.
