There was just the one man who I believe is the owner working in front and he was busy taking and filling orders the whole time we were in. We ordered the meatballs app and a sausage pizza. While the crust is not made in house, the thin style we went with was super nice and flaky/crispy and the pizza sauce slightly sweet. All in all it was a good meal.

I don't need a lot, just know how to do the things you have on your menu. I also asked for any Wisconsin beers on tap, to which I was told there were none. When I noticed the New Glarus ads on the wall I questioned that original statement and sure nuff, WI beers were available. I asked the server what he thought about the ranch (literally had him try it) and he said "man, you threw me for a loop there... That's crazy". Which to me doesn't sound like an endorsement of the ranch, yet he did nothing to fix the problem. Lump all this with the super long wait time between people bringing us drinks or offering assistance and it makes for a really tough experience. They did have a meat raffle and big TVs showing the Brewers, so they get a point for that. Beyond that, would not return and to anyone going there, keep your expectations low.

What to expect went coming to johns you will not get a seat right away you most likely (on Friday for sure) will wait an hour or more. You grab a number wait till your called order and then they will seat you. You can also expect food that is top notch every time with out question. This trip to the corner bar landed us on a Saturday night prime rib special. The whole family came this time. My dad and I ordered prime rib sandwich ( my only complaint) it's cheap in price and your get what you pay for by getting 1/8 inch thick cut on this. I would gladly have paid 12-15 dollars for a good amount of meat. The wife got broasted chicken and she loved it. My sister ordered the queen cut prime rib and as you can see not like most prime ribs where you get a good portion of fat on it this one did not have much fat and you can come to expect that from johns. Her boyfriend ordered the sirloin which definitely looked like a great cut of meat! My dads wife ordered deep fried shrimp and scallops and the scallops melted in your mouth. Do not shy away from the wait here, like all good things, quality takes time! There's a wait because it's worth it. If you're one to complain about a wait this is not the place for you!

The ambiance is nice and celebrates the Wisconsin summer when it can.
