Family of four on a Saturday afternoon and the service was fantastic. The waitress was quick with everything and the food was all piping hot. Burger with zesty sauce was fantastic. The chicken tenders were great, thought maybe a bit more seasoning would be even better. My son loved his burger and be warned, the peanut butter burger comes in Texas toast which was unexpected. The steak fries aren't seasoned at all, but they were hot and crispy. Everything we had was cooked perfectly but it seems they play it safe with flavor which i can understand given the location. Maybe a seasoned option could be possible. Overall we enjoyed our food and the service, ambience was solid, we couldn't understand why it wasn't more crowded. Definitely check it out! read more

Good Wisconsin bar and grill. Nice menu, fish fry on Friday, broasted chicken on Sunday, many other specials through the week. Service was fast and very pleasant. The kitchen was lightning fast! We had cheese curds for an appetizer, I had a patty melt and my wife a Monte Cristo. Everything was hot and good. They have a nice specialty drink menu, though we didn't try any. The place is nice and clean, with a nautical theme (you might have guessed from the name). A good Wisconsin bar and grill experience, like so many in this great state; we'll be back. read more

I love when you can seat yourself! Sat right away and our waitress was quick to greet us and grab drinks. It was a bar with tall tops and a small dining room with seating to suite all types of customers. The fish was wall cooked, not mushy, not over cooked, and the chips with cheese were recommended by the waitress, and I'm glad I got them, they could have been just a pinch more crunchy. The beans were average, not a whole lot of flavor, still good. I prefer a creamy coleslaw. The bread was good, buttered and not stale! The waitress was attentive through the whole dinner. read more

Great late lunch find on the way home. The menu is huge and Sara was very kind to us. They have a daily special and on the day we went, it was pasta with a chicken sauce. This is a fantastic nautical themed bar. We were in town for a week and ended up going there five times for food and a beer. Staff was always very friendly and welcoming. The service here was absolutely amazing. The lady had so many tables and the bar had a table and people at the bar. The only person working the tables was the bartender/waitress. It's really 3.5 stars, but with COVID and a newly opened business, I'll round up. Stopped in with a group. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the grilled cheese with fries. See photo. What a I got was two pieces of white bread from the toaster and two slices of cold cheese. Just a cheese sandwich on toast. Not even butter on the bread. Basically the laziest grilled cheese you can make. The fries were fresh and hot. We were in a hurry so I didn't bother sending it back. During COVID I don't want to trash a place that just opened, but this was an obvious fail. The beers were cold and the service from the gorgeous red haired bartender was outstanding. Prices reasonable. Others in the group liked their food. Other than the lazy grilled cheese the place would be 5 stars. I'll give them another chance soon and try the burger and the chili. read more

Went for a late lunch. Margarita was terrible and trust me. I drink a lot of them in many places around the country. I had a special. " shaved prime rib sandwich ". The beef was probably leftover prime rib and I have no problem with that. Shaved? No. Hunks of meat and some quite chewy. The bread was literally almost an inch thick buttered an grilled. Very awkward to eat. The bread was so saturated it was hard to pick up. This was not the kind o sandwich you would eat with a fork and knife. Was not impressed. read more

Service and food were outstanding! Spinach dip came with fresh fried flour chips, Rueben sandwich was perfect and didn't try to be cute. Just an amazing sandwich with pub chips and I added some beer cheese sauce. Beth, our server was superbly busy and was the only server in the whole place, but managed to absolutely rock it! We are definitely coming back to try the haddock bites and the broasted chicken baskets. The Kraken decor was fun and I'd recommend to the owners to keep running with that theme! read more

We just took our son and parents to dinner at The Windjammer and are so disappointed! We got there at 5:15, hoping to beat the rush. After watching people who arrived at the same time or AFTER us receive their food, we waited over 1 hour to receive 2 fish fries, a hamburger, fried shrimp and a sandwich. People who were seated after us were actually finished eating before we were served! Although our waitress was very kind, the food was under-whelming. All in all, it was a disappointment. After having given the restaurant three different attempts, sadly, we will not be returning because each time the food was mediocre. We were so hopeful to have found another great eating option and love the esthetics, but the food is a "no-go" for us. read more

Recently re-opened and they are off to a great start. Had the monte Cristo which I had not had in a long time from anywhere. It was amazing. Nice interior setting with a partially separated bar area from seated dining. Favorite feature was a real operating fire place to keep things warm in the winter. read more
