We always stop here for a nightcap on our way back to our hotel. It's in the whistling swan and is packed full of character. We have not had the food here so I cannot give a critique on that. Their cocktails are always fantastic. We finish the night off on our way home with an espresso martini . It was truly one of the best I've ever had. The price tag was a little steep. It was $22 per martini. That being said,it is door county. And it is a very niche bar situation. Service was OK this night. We've had better when we've been there. But we will continue to make this our nightcap stop before we walk home for the evening. read more

Just stopped in for some cocktails, so can't speak to how good the food is. But the cocktails were DELICIOUS. The service was good and we sat in the "outer" area (looks like it was a porch, but is now enclosed). Very nice. Wouldn't mind coming back to try some of the food. read more

I will say our service and care by our server was exceptional he took good care of us. The food was ok. We are very forgiving diners but my wife's $55 steak was supposed to be medium rare it came back medium well and we sent it back which we rarely do but it was way off of medium rare. My lamb chops were more medium + than the medium rare but I wasn't going to send that back. The garlic mashed potatoes were perfect and I mean perfect. The squash was bursting with flavors. We lived the patio dining it was a beautiful night for sitting in enclosed outdoors. It wasn't too loud and not too quiet. Very enjoyable. read more

Parking right in front (definitely got lucky) and the restaurant has a cool speakeasy vibe. Love the costumes the staff are wearing! Very fun and cute. The food was great and we sat outside and watched the busy streets of Fish Creek! Highly recommend. read more

We had a nice dinner here. We started with the Big Cheese, which can easily be shared by 3 or 4 people. For the main course, we shared the NY Steak. We had a wonderful meal at Welcker's. Cool Speakeasy Vibe and costumes for the wait staff. We were there on a Thursday night, so it wasn't super busy but we had made reservations just in case. They have a unique drink menu with fun cocktails. Dinner was good with a broad menu for all types of pallets. read more

Great cocktails but the menu does not display prices which feels sneaky. But they are indeed delicious. They charge $10 dollars to share a meal apparently this is noted in the menu no doubt in small print. This to me is ridiculous. I've never seen this in my life. The place was very empty for a Friday night. Perhaps ownership charges $10 to share to make more money since it's kinda empty. But the prices on the menu are pretty high for the quality and the menu only has about 8 items on it so sharing will happen with less options. Repeat business is more important than that $10 charge. Take better care of your customers it's not worth putting them off for $10. read more

Go try it! Out group had Grouper, Scallops, and Walleye. I had the Walleye- on of the best I've had (and from MN, I've had a lot of walleye). The macadamia scallop had more macadamia than anticipated- was delicious. One of the grouper orders was modified to blackened. Thumbs up. Love the staff and their 20's. Beautiful room but very underwhelming food. The Octopus appetizer was Ground Octopus piled unceremoniously in the plate with some Everything crackers. It looked like oatmeal and my husband who is grilled octopus fan was very disappointed. I ate it since I was starving but we should have sent it back! The menu advertised " grilled octopus tower with tomato." NO tomato to be seen, only ground up green peppers with the octopus. Definitely no tower UNLESS YOU CALL A HILL OF GROUND MEAT A TOWER. My husband liked his chicken called a "Side" and roasted with very good carrots and au gratin potatoes. On the other hand my "Poke bowl" was very boring! Good marinated tuna in small squares but on top of steamed. veggies and brown rice with no sauce and no flavor!!!! Are you kidding!! Better food is available at a food truck. I was very disappointed since it is a new restaurant and sounded like interesting food. The last review was fabulous but my experience was not. Maybe the reviewer had the Sea Bass for $49.00. A little to pricey for me. I suggest you go for a cocktail and sit at the bar and listen to the great piano player . Skip the dinner. It is a beautiful place. read more

Terrible food and service. When the restaurant was the Whistling Swan, it was fantastic. However, don't bother now. I went for my birthday and it was an awful choice. We had a calamari starter, and an air fry version from Trader Joe's would have been much better. This was followed by the main entree, scallops and augratin potato's with carrots, served on a tiny plate. The carrots were served whole, with green stems. (Who eats carrot stems?) The scallops and augratin potatoes were lackluster. When we ordered lemons for our water, the waiter carried lemon slices to our table in his bare hands. Disgusting. read more

ZERO STARS. Came in last night with my wife and two of her friends. We specifically went in for Old Fashion's. The woman behind the bar told us the POS system was down and we HAVE TO PAY CASH. She gave my wife that side eye look that implies you can't afford this place (it had just finished raining heavily so it was clear we weren't in black tie). We paid the cash and took our business elsewhere - FOR GOOD! Management tip: this woman has no business in a customer facing position. Foolishly arrogant. Sad....and bad for business. Came here with my entire family and excited to try something new. Half of the food brought out to the table was cold. At the end of the meal we asked for 3 separate checks. The waitress (Katie D) responded by aggressively grabbing the check off the table and crumpling it up in front of everyone before storming off. We will not be going back. read more

Beautiful restaurant in the Whistling Swan Inn with a fantastic menu of delicious, satisfying cuisine. The veranda seating has wonderful ambiance, and the wait staff are top notch. I frequent Door County and was looking forward to trying this place. Great location, fun theme, and a really nice place. I did have two very young grand kids, but we got the first seating to not be disruptive. Four adults and two kids. We started with the Big Cheese platter. It was all fine and everyone had a food bit. The almonds were beyond stale, but the chorizo and duck prosciutto were different and fun. For dinner, one of our party had the NY steak, and that was fantastic. My wife had the walleye. Nothing wrong, but the taste did not click with anyone. We are from WI and love walleye. Someone else had the poke bowl. It was actually ceviche, so not what anyone was looking for and not advertised as such. It had a very strong citrus flavor, not ginger. The rest was a bit bland. I had the lamb lollipops. The pesto was a nice touch but the description stated it was crusted. It may be semantics, but I was expecting a seared lamb, and it tasted like it was microwaved. When the the owner's daughter, our waitress, asked how the first few bites were, I told her what I thought of my lamb. The owner was out in second to discuss my opinion and was VERY accommodating to make it right. He would remake it or provide something else. He was a great guy and working his tail off, but it was just not the place for us. It may appeal to many, but we just had different expectations. Finally, there only item on a kids menu is buttered noodles. Again, not a big deal, just an FYI. read more
