I am writing this review just after having our brand new home fitted with customer window blinds, shades and plantation shutters (25 windows). This was no ordinary task or job! I was inundated with postcard offers from the time I closed on my home over Thanksgiving through the new year. Once I had time to sit down I did my due diligence and started reviewing (legitimate) YELP reviews and the BBB reviews on companies that had solicited for my business. Most postcards ended up in the recycle bin. I kept 5 companies, called and scheduled appointments. I knew pretty much what I wanted for all the rooms, so it was a matter of which company I liked when I met them, their selection of products, price and timeline to get installed from measurements. Neil with The Window Blind Connection was my fifth appointment. We had to reschedule due to a conflict on his end, but once we met, he provided an excellence in customer service that went WAY ABOVE the others. Once I got his written proposal, I went back to Neil and one other competitor to negotiate the overall deal. Neil was fair, reasonable and easy to work with for this job. Upon acceptance of the deal, Neil came back to our home, measured again, reviewed all the selections again and then set up the measuring appointment for the plantation shutter company. Neil gave me a timeline that I felt was very reasonable and stuck to that exact timeline with the installation of the shades and blinds and also scheduled the installation of the shutters at that time, which they kept. Everyone arrived on time, did awesome work and cleaned up prior to leaving. I was 100% satisfied from the time we met on through the completion and installation. I plan to add some additional window treatments in my home down the road as I continue to decorate and Neil will be hearing from me. So here is my advice - by all means, get competitive bids, do your due diligence and check the companies out through the BBB, use personal referrals of you have them but DEFINITELY CALL NEIL! You'll be glad you did. If you don't want to do the above, just call Neil and save yourself time, money and frustrations....He'll treat you like family and you'll be well taken care of. read more

Neil at WBC is absolutely amazing. Rarely do you find someone so knowledgeable, patient , accurate, and with such wonderful ideas. I had my plantation shutters refinished , the perfection unbelievable, Several other companies informed me they were unable to remove the yellow color ( from smoke) , that refinishing would only last a couple weeks cuz the stained yellow hue would bleed thus no matter what or how they refinished them. He came over to measure the 10 windows we had and gave a us a competitive price that beat the other companies that we had come by. Neil was friendly and professional and offers incredibly high quality materials for his blinds and shades. We went with some white zebra shades and while the initial timeframe was 3-4 weeks, it ended up taking closer to 6 weeks to get the blinds in and installed due to the COVID situation and supply chains being slower. All of this was very understandable and Neil was incredibly communicative throughout the process and kept us updated on timing and installation. When the shades came in, installation was quick and we are now absolutely OBSESSED with them. They allow such great natural light while providing full privacy day and night. We hired Neil over 20 years ago for our blinds in our new home addition. Never a problem with any of our blinds. Recently our cleaning crew over tightened the blinds and broke the mechanism on 3 of them. I found Neil from a postcard mailer at my home. The work I needed done was for my office which was like 20 miles away. I called Neil, and he was happy to come out to my office even though it was way out of the way. He came, measured the area where I needed blinds, gave me a very reasonable quote, I gave him a deposit and he started to build the custom blinds. I have blinds that I purchased from Neil at The Window Blind Connection over 10 years ago. Recently the mechanism broke. Since it was under a lifetime warranty by the manufacturer, I contacted Neil to find out how to go about getting them fixed. Neil drove all the way out to my home to look at the blinds. He contacted the manufacturer to confirm the warranty, and arranged for them to send the parts to a local repair shop. Neil took the blinds to the repair shop and then returned the blinds to me the next week. They now work perfectly. Neil only charged me for a service call. I spent $95 total. If I had had to replace the blinds it would have cost closer to $1,000. I am so impressed by the service I received, which is above and beyond what most businesses would provide. Ten years ago we bought our first house and Neil helped us select blinds that not only fit our house but our budget. He was professional and wonderful then. This is my second time using WBC. The first time was back in 2010 when I had several plantation shutters installed. I was pleased with the service so I called Neil back to help me with some natural woven shades (for 9 windows). While he was here for my estimate, I told him some of the magnets on my shutters have broken (due to sun exposure), and he replaced them on the spot. And when I thought the estimate for my woven shades were too high, Neil returned a second time with an alternate vendor book for me to browse through, and we ultimately found a shade and price point I was happy with.
