A big shout out to the staff working late Saturday afternoon. I enjoyed a meal there and went home without my phone! My phone locator said it was stillat the place... so I went back and 2 staff members helped me way more than would be expected. Finally a young man figured out why we couldn't find it and ultimately retrieved it from the Dumpster! That's way beyond what most folks could do. I don't have his name but MANY THANKS. I really enjoyed my first visit to the Wine Cave. When we arrived, it was around 7pm on a Friday night. The main parking lot was completely full, but we managed to get the very last spot in the upper parking lot. We were tempted to just go somewhere else because it was so busy, but I'm glad we stayed. Despite the number of cars, there were still a few places to sit, both inside and outside and it didn't feel crowded. There was live music, which was enjoyable and not overly loud. Orders are placed at the bar, and to my surprise, there was not a line to order. When we ordered, they said the wait for the food was 45-60 minutes, but we had our bottle of wine right away, and we sat outside at a very cute table, so we didn't mind the wait at all. The food and wine selection is adequate. Nothing super fancy. They text you when your food is ready. It comes in to-go containers, and you pick it up at the bar when it's ready. We had the spinach artichoke dip and the cheese platter, which were the only vegetarian choices on the menu. I didn't see any vegan choices. The best thing about the place is the atmosphere and the uniqueness of each seating area. Really fun! I will definitely go back! read more

It's a very pretty location and I loved the ambiance. I'm sure that if you are a wine drinker and come with a group of friends, it's probably a lot of fun. However, if you are coming to have a dinner, the food is average. In addition, you have to go to the counter and order it yourself. It's also expensive in regard to the service, quality of food, and the fact that everything is served in to go boxes. You can't even get a free glass of water. You have to overpay for a bottle of water and we couldn't even find a place for recycling the bottles and cans. read more

A really unique place with all very different seating arrangements. We had the Tuscan Flatbread which was very good. But and I do mean BUT, the wine is the worst wine I have ever tasted. We had the sauvignon blanc, the riesling and rose. I am not a wine connoisseur but have tasted wines from all over the world France ,Italy, Chile, Oregon, Washington state and California. If what they gave us was from a local winery they should stop buying from that winery. It could be really a special place if they would get some good wines. read more

This was my first time here and it DID NOT disappoint!! I am particularly a fan of sweet wines only and usually find it hard to get a good selection of them at places for some reason. Well, If your a sweet wine drinker I recommend Hartwood wine cave! My favorite especially was the wine slushie so sweet and refreshing. We had our daughter's bridal shower at the Hartwood Wine Cave today. From start to finish, the staff was so friendly and accommodating! They helped guide us through the entire process of planning as well as frequently touching base to ensure that everything would go smoothly and as planned. Nicki and Eric were so, so helpful! The venue is beautiful and our guests loved the cozy atmosphere and delicious food and wine! A wonderful time was had by all!! I would highly recommend the wine cave! read more

This place is so disappointing. The wine is expensive and not very good and on of the two items they serve are a cheese plate on a plastic plate for 20.00. The crackers for this were served in a paper bag. it Is a nice atmosphere but they are not very customer friendly. I wont be back and I wouldnt want to encourage others to go there Linda H read more

Fun time! First time ever! We were there around 5 so we didn't need reservations. Around 6 it started getting crowded. Its a really different dining experience. Wine tasting bar and that is also where we ordered our food. They texted when it was ready and brought out in take out bags so you could stay and eat or take it with you. Food was good! Friends were there a couple of months earlier and were waited on at the tables so not sure whether food service is seasonal. read more

This review is totally based on the food. The atmosphere is great. They have live entertainment and the drinks just keep flowing. Service is great and the staff were all very friendly. Now the food..... Eh. It's consumable but by no means memorable. My wife was upset because when asked if we could get take out, I said why from there the food isn't good. She convinced me the pizza was delicious. When we brought it home we found the pizza was not what we had enjoyed before but a cheap junk version of what once was. Seemed like frozen pizza with some extra toppings. Same for the tiramisu. The pizza used to be good and original. They changed the menu for the worse and it's not worth the carbs. I had one victory that evening because I was right and my wife was wrong. We'll go back for drinks but we'll be sure to eat elsewhere first. Come on Hartwood Wine Cave. You had it right before. This is my neighborhood and they way they have added so very much to an abandoned corner; it is amazing! I appreciate the staff, especially Nicky, I like the food and I always find a wine I like. The fact that the place is three blocks from where I live is great. During Covid quarantine, this was a godsend with it's outdoor venue. Thanks for moving to the neighborhood Wine Cave, people love you and so do I.. If you aren't into wine there are some craft beers and canned cocktails. They do text you when your food is ready, but I get so involved in talking I forget to check my phone. Nicky, the curly haired angel, always brings it to me. Wow. What a fraud! Do not believe the pictures on their website. First, this place is incredibly small. I called several days before we wanted to go, and was told that they only take reservations for parties of 5 or more but they leave the entire outside and 1/2 of what they call "the bar" open for walk-ins. Cool, right. Well, it rained all day and outdoor seating was out of the question. There's room for maybe 10 people in the bar area. So we got a reasonably priced flight of wine and a glass of Cab. We were directed to the "more formal" part of the place where we could sit until reservations came in at 6. We ordered an appetizer of meatballs and headed back. More formal you say? You mean next to the Rubbermaid garbage cans? Fine. Our appetizer was ready in about 15 minutes, and when I went back to the bar to retrieve it, I was handed a paper bag with meatballs in a plastic to go container with plastic forks and knives. Red flag? I think so. Took it back to our table and one taste was all it took. Probably ranks in the top 5 worst meatballs I've ever had. As a bonus we got "bread" to dip in to what I'm going to assume was Ragù. Was it fresh bread at least? Hell no, it was a partially stale store brand hamburger bun. WTF? At least the garbage can was convenient. No clue what anyone could possibly see in this place besides the fact the the wine was reasonably priced. Given, it was wine from the West Newton region of PA not Napa or Sonoma. Ugh! One star because the staff was nice. read more
