When I got there I was able to meet and thank her in person. The place had a nice feel, good vibes plus I didn't feel like I'd end up on the Next 48 or anything. Nothing out of the ordinary was done, just kindness, and good customer service. The downstairs has the white wines and the upstairs has reds. Both floors are divided by region and contain a decent selection of both old world and new world wines from various regions in the world. While I didn't find everything I was looking for (some more Rhone whites would have been amazing), there was a large enough selection that we had more than enough options. The service was pretty helpful on the red floor but got busier downstairs. It was easy enough to find what I was looking for and I walked out with two bottles to pair with spicy curry. I'd definitely stop back again if in the area. The selection is pretty vast and contains a large enough price range to be able to find bottles for most occasions.

Michael makes placing an order genuinely enjoyable. He has that increasingly rare ability to make you feel not merely like a customer, but like a valued one. There is a warmth, class, and old-school graciousness about him that you simply don't encounter very often anymore. He remembers, he engages, he is accommodating, and he understands hospitality in a way that cannot be taught from a training manual. I truly appreciate him, and I sincerely hope the new owners recognize what they have in Michael and do everything possible to keep him there. Employees like him are not interchangeable; they are the reason customers develop loyalty to a business in the first place. Before I could finish explaining what I needed, the sales assistant cut me off and said he doesn't drink Chardonnay, then started pushing a different wine he personally preferred. I told him I wasn't interested in his personal taste and just wanted a Chardonnay. He responded rudely, saying he couldn't help me because he doesn't like or drink that wine, then just walked off and left me standing in the aisle. A wine shop employee should have broad product knowledge regardless of personal preference. Refusing to help a customer because a wine isn't to your own taste is unprofessional, and the attitude made it worse. I left without the bottles I came in for and won't be going back.

The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, but what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service by staff who know their wines. A huge thank you to the manager, Cliff Korn, who went out of his way to ensure our visit was amazing. No pressure to buy bottles, only encouragement to try as many wines as they were serving (15+) and enjoy an education. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate, offering insights into each pour, and stories behind each vineyard, without being pretentious. This store is definitely known for carrying rare, expensive bottles sold at auction, but it's also a lively local shop. The man at the front desk was very friendly. He told me that liquor stores were no longer selling non alcoholic wines and where to find it. He checked if he had any of the last in stock and had one left which he gave me a $2 discount on. The store has a wider selection than it appears and it's well organized. Appreciate the personal touch and the efforts the cashier went to to help me. Very friendly.

I have to preface it that we have been loyal customers here since the store opened and it has been our go to wine store but we where shocked at the lack of customer service/unprofessionalism. I purchased a can of white wine which I have done many times in the past over the years (the same one). Upon opening at home I could immediately tell it was bad. Gold color, strong smell, sour and metallic taste. I only took 1 sip but it was obviously undrinkable. Not a huge deal although it was inconvenient to have to go back out to the store. Of course we thought they would just replace it as any place would do if they sell you something thats spoiled or expired. We politely went to let them know so they could be aware of the product they are selling and asked to swap if for something of the same price but they flat out refused. The guy who claimed to be the manager was rude and verbally combative. They tried to tell us we are just unfamiliar with this wine because we haven't bought it before (which we have) and essentially said "too bad, we are not going to do anything about it". They shouldn't be selling bad wine, but what was more upsetting is that we are regular customers there and they couldn't extend the courtesy to replace the product out of basic decency. Instead giving a huge attitude and negating everything we were saying. They don't care about the quality of their products or about their customers. We left with nothing and tossed the gross wine. They lost our business.
