Wing hut is edible yes, impressive? Not in my opinion. What's the big deal? The buffalo wings taste like Franks Hot Sauce, and the BBQ tastes like generic KC Masterpiece or Lonestar. We got three different flavors of wings and a sack of fries and it cost me $30 bucks. I was led to wing hut by yelp reviews, but I think it's rated so high for service and location. Have been here 4 times now, and tried different wing sauces each time. They're all good, but the chili lime ranch is AMAZING. They can mix any spice, seasoning or sauce with ranch. They have a menu full of Cajun food (red beans and rice, gumbo, jambalaya, po'boys) as well as burgers and bicker sandwiches. I love the Wing Hut! I happened to stumble upon on it one day while leaving Big Lots and have been a fan ever since. Wings come in half or full pound rather than wing count. Half pound sounds like a lot but it only ends up coming to 3 or 4 wings with a full pound about 8 or 9 wings. I feel like a big verbally saying a pound of wings but it's the perfect amount and you can split the order with a couple different flavors. They have a ton of flavors, sides and even salads if you're looking to counterbalance the effect of wings! They recently got a Jones Soda fountain machine instead of Coca Cola which I think is awesome since they are supporting the little man! Made an order for delivery (free delivery through the end of the month). Alright some background: I spent a few years in Houston. Post-Katrina brought folks from Louisiana and their amazing food. By no means is a Cajun menu an easy sell for me. My partner, born and raised in the bayou city, Houston. Our friend that was with us, the same and a Cajun herself. All in all, we're food snobs with everything but especially with soul food and Cajun. The service: Called in to place the order. Right off the bat, super friendly and helpful staff. Ordered two of the two piece cod and fries, the red beans and rice, fried okra, and jalapeño poppers. The delivery was prompt and the driver was amazing. One of the orders of cod and fries was missing. I called in, they were again super helpful, apologetic, and polite. Luckily we live a few blocks away from the restaurant so the trek was not very far to get the food again. The second order of cod came in, and they were so very kind enough to give free funnel cake fries. The driver, happened to be the owner, Ed. He was again, super friendly and fantastic. Obviously very humble and personable to be making the deliveries himself. Onto the food: Not a single complaint. The fried okra was fantastic. Fresh okra with a great beer batter. Jalapeño poppers, the same, fresh, not frozen. The fries were amazing. Really great texture. The cod, perfect. The second order of cod that came later was piping hot! They made and delivered a fresh order of cod and fries! Amazing service and speaks highly of how this restaurant feels about it's food. The red beans and rice was going to be the hard sell for our Cajun friend, and it completely won her over. The rice was buttered (some places don't) and the whole dish was the right flavor. It brought her some home cooking here in the mountains. The blue cheese dressing, was fantastic as well. Not the typical blue cheese, this had a great garlic flavor that brought some bite to it. I think pricing is a little over the top for just throwing stuff in a deep fryer from out of a deep freezer. They also have screwed up my order every time I have had their stuff delivered, usually forgetting to bring me extra dipping sauces or otherwise (that they tack on an extra dollar for each). My husband and I went here for the first time on Sunday and boy, we are so glad that we did. The staff is super friendly and kind. They helped us through every step and we were able to hear them over the noise. The catfish is some of the most tender fish I've ever had, the Hush-puppies were to die for, but the honey barbecue boneless bites were the showstoppers of the main meal. Tender, with the perfect moisture, and a crisp skin that had the best barbecue sauce that I have ever tasted. The entire meal order was $25 and that isn't even the best part! I am sure that eating Wing Hut's Strawberry Shortcake funnel cake fries are a sin somewhere because I have never had something so delicious but not too sweet in my life! Stopped into Wing Hut on my way over to Dry Dock Brewing for a to-go lunch. I ordered the big box of chicken (a LOT) and an order of the spiral fries. The chicken was large chunks, tasted super good and the sauce was good as well. My biggest gripe was that of the 10 pieces or so that I ordered, about three of them were literally covered in sauce at the bottom of the chicken box. Of course they didn't put napkins or wipes in the bag (at a wing place?). Perhaps this is their "thing", to drown the chicken in sauce? I'm sure if I had the proper utensils and cleaning wipes, I would have enjoyed it a little more. Either way, I was a little disappointed that I wasn't properly outfitted for a to-go order. Dead on a Thursday night (we just left Dry Dock which was hopping!). I figured an awesome wing joint would have somebody in it. The order sizes are very large for the price and everything we've tried has been tasty. My favorite is the jambalaya, especially on chilly days. I have also attended trivia night which is super fun. For a set price you get wings, fries, one beer and funnel fries for dessert. Wing Hut is the ONE place to go in Aurora for wings and food that is literally finger lickin. The variety of sauces that they offer are fantastic - Mild Ranch is the staple for me but I also like Fire Ranch if I'm feeling adventurous. Garlic Pepper and Bee Sting are some of my other favorites. Aside from the wings - I LOVE the Jalapeno Poppers. And the corn fritters and the Battered Mushrooms and the Fried Okra! Oh they are all good! Aside from the foods that make you feel like the county fair just came to Mom's kitchen, the rest of the menu is top notch. The Gumbo and Jambalaya both have such different flavors and are worth a trip just by themselves. I love that they offer salads for those times when you just want something crisp. The craft beer selection that Wing Hut offers sets off their food in ways that domestics never could. One of the owners really knows his beer. Personally - I love that they offer Dutchesse (sour beer) because there aren't enough sours in the world. The Left Hand Milk Stout is another good one - good for those extra hot sauces. SO legit. A friend and I had a sever wing craving this past Sunday, but have always had some what of a problem finding some great wings in and around Denver, until now! We live in Downtown Denver, but it was worth the drive over to Aurora after receiving some of the best service we have ever experienced! With over 30 different sauces, it was hard making our minds up, but the staff was so helpful and gave us some great recommendations! The menu was easy to decipher and the atmosphere was clean and chill. We tried some of the house favorites, and explored some unconventional sauces, and everything came up aces!
