Trex, however, does have specific foundation requirements that support the boards and we needed our foundation updated. We met with 3 companies all of whom had good reviews/referrals. We chose California Fence primarily because of Bill. This may sound silly but part of the reason is because when he come over to meet with us and provide a quote, he was covered with dirt and sawdust, which reinforced what he was telling us - He is on the job working with his crew all day unless running out to do a quote. He listened to our needs and gave us experienced feedback. We had a medium sized tree which needed removing and killing, which he also did, and he needed to work around a gas line to our fire pit. We liked his attention to detail and his straight to the point matter. After answering our questions he immediately brought out his tape measure, little book and pencil and worked out a quote. His crew is composed of his family and a couple of family friends that have been working with Bill for years. They were all very friendly and respectful and seemed to share Bill's attention to detail. Bill and crew were always available to us and responsive to any questions we may have had. We were impressed with the quality of their work. When they were done we had a beautiful new Trex deck and the area was nicely cleaned up. Called the company and…read morethey would not fix the post but will instead put a sister post next to it to brace it for $900. I had an independent contractor replace the center Post for $500. This involved taking down the fence around the post, and removing the concrete bottom and failing post. Turned out that the culprit was termites invading from the bottom of the post and weakening it. Apparently the concrete bottom did not cover the bottom of the post.

They are a smal business that delivers better than normal results, and so they have a full dance card. And while their office correspondence is very friendly and helpful, turnaround can take a while since I believe there's only one office staff. But in the end, we got a beautiful, long lasting fence. Worth the wait! Deeper than typical posts, mounded cement to prevent rot, and screws instead of nails. All that adds up to a very solid fence. The team lead, I regret I missed his name, has over 30 years experience and is a marvel to watch work. 65' of fence and a 10' gate done in two days. Will certainly use again.

On the recommendation of a few neighbors, I had Marvin at Finesse Fence come out and give us a quote. When he came out to give a quote he gave a handful of ideas and pros and cons of each. He basically helped us choose what was best for us. Decided to go with Marvin and scheduled. His guys showed up on time! The work was great and his guys were extreme professional! The removal, install and clean up were all done with 5 star service. (2026) BUT Here Is Why I Wrote My First Review On Yelp Today: This past week I noticed a split in a panel and wanted to see if the warranty would handle it. Text Marvin, he called me back and set up a time to come out and look the next day. Arrived on time the next day and not only said yes he wanted to fix that panel against the warranty but he also had a look at the rest of the fence while he was there and saw a few posts that were structurally fine but were cracking, which he felt was too soon. So without even asking, Marvin said since my guy is going to be here for the panel I'm going to have him install a few posts using the warranty. You hear of companies who say ya give us a call if anything is wrong we'll come out and fix it. And most the time it's just words. Marvin really believes in making sure the customer is taken care of! He had two times I could choose from for his guy to come out. The next day or the following week. I choose the next day. His guy showed up and changed out the panel PLUS a few more. And changed out the posts. At the very least get a quote from Finesse Fence so they can tell you your options and know the removal, install and clean up or just the beginning of their 5 star service. Finesse Fence has a real warranty that Marvin will happily use if necessary to make sure his customer is so happy he would even write a yelp review for the first time!
