Doctor squeezed her hernia and proceeded to say it wasn't bad and for it to be taken care of later, by that time it strangled itself and she had to get part of her intestine removed. That hernia is the second worst pain she's felt in her life; up there with intussusception. Worse than childbirth. Wish they listened to her screams of agony or put a little more effort into their steak quesadillas.

The pain was still not controlled, and when I told the dr I was still in pain he started treating me like a drug seeker "we will not be giving you opioids tonight." Then when I got tired of his smart aleck attitude I asked him if he treated everyone this way. He just kept repeating "do you have any other questions?" Over and over. Then I'd ask him one and he would ask me "do you have any other questions?" I asked him why was he talking to me like a robot. I Then asked to speak to a patient advocate because I knew he was stereotyping me and refusing to treat my pain in an appropriate way. With a smirk on his face he said "it's the middle of the night on a Friday, no one's here but me." Then he walked out. His name was Dr (I use that title loosely) Jeffrey Mason. I will be contacting a patient advocate on Monday and reporting the way he degraded me. The charge nurse and all the other nurses there advocated for me but he wouldn't budge. It was weird. They saw the pain I was in. All he saw was what he wanted to see. People like HIM should not be Dr's.

Registration went smoothly, Yes, once assessed I did have a long wait in the ED but it was very busy. Transport staff, CT imaging , food service, maintenance and every health care person I met was willing to answer my questions. Once I was in a room I had the good fortune of having an amazing nursing staff. Kaylee in particular was wonderful. Also to be recognized are: Sarah, RN Drs. Muncy , Kilpatrick, Andy Jury PA? and Joe one of the techs - Each person treated me with kindness and respect I left after several days, feeling much better, thanks to these wonderful professionals

Sure enough my hcG level of 208 from Tuesday (when I did LabCorp ondemand) went all the way down to a 48, so more than likely I am suffering a miscarriage. If only they let me get blood work done when I called at first, they would've caught the potential miscarriage early...
