The wood is a beautiful place with inside and outside seating. I came here for the BBQ and to be honest, it was very average. I got the 3-item combo with ribs, brisket and beef links. Added mac and cheese and potato salad. Inside is nice and dark. They have a little bar area that only seats two people. One thing i liked was the food came out quick, under 10 minutes and the customer service was great. It was a nice vibe inside of people. Unfortunately, the food was not good enough to bring me back. BBQ had no good smoked favor like others. Just oven made with sauce on top. For the sides only the potato salad was good but the mac and cheese was terrible. Price came to $36 before tip. Too many good BBQ spots but hardly any good ones in Inglewood. Not woody's, phils and definitely not kenny Q's. You have to travel outside the city for that. Food rating: Brisket 7.5\10 Ribs 7.0\10 Beef Links 7.0\10 Potato salad 7.0\10 Mac and Cheese 5\10

The BBQ is one of a kind and their ribs are one of the best!! don't sleep on the wings either, they're elite. The Staff keeps the vibe going with the best happy hour in LA daily, including weekends. They show all the games and fights on several TVs, and it's an all-around vibe I sat on the back patio.

Brought my mom here for a special Mother's Day meal following a fantastic Braves win, and the day only got better as we watched 'Ant-Man' clinch Game 4 of the Western Conference Semis. Though small, the environment and ambiance are absolutely amazing--the perfect high-energy backdrop for a double Atlanta win! The service was top-tier as well. For the food, I went with the pulled pork and my mom had the brisket sandwich. While the mac and cheese was just okay, the greens completely stole the show--seriously delicious. My only real critique would be the drinks; they sound great on the menu but didn't quite live up to expectations in execution. Still a great spot for a celebration!

Chill spot downtown with outdoor seating and not crowded on Easter Sunday. Don't confuse this with Woody's BBQ. Pro tip the happy hour food still applies all day. I got the brisket fries since I didn't want a whole $25 meal with sides, it's just me eating with myself. Like I said it's chill and low key I digs it. Nice speaker system outside too with chill pop type stuff. Only thing is service wasn't there outside of taking my order but it could be cuz I'm outside. Foods not bad tho.

This is a nice place for First dates. I went in today for a carryout order lots of employees but no customer service. No one said hello even the person that took my money. I kept hearing about this tender brisket, so I ordered it with onion rings find your rings were OK. The brisket was dry. I think this is the kind of place. You have to be in the know like know someone like a waitress sort of Owner or someone to get the good stuff. This was my second time trying this out in my last. Good atmosphere for dating.

Order time on receipt: 12:15PM - received my order at 2pm. Sides: Potato Salad (didn't like) Mac N Cheese & Collard Greens (were decent)

This is the WORST establishment I've ever come to hands down. Entirely disorganized. Accepts all these orders and can't fulfill the demands. I placed my order on JULY 2 for today JULY 4 because I anticipated it would be a crowd. This place opened at 12 PM. I received x2 text notifying me of my pickup time frame (1) stating pickup would be "12:20 PM - 12:30 PM" and (2) stating pickup would be "12:20 PM - 12:25 PM" (see photo attached). I arrived at 12:30 PM today 7/4/25 my order was not ready. I waited 30 mins my order was still not ready yet all these large orders were coming out. I left and came back at 1 PM and still my order was not ready. I spoke with the Manager, Brenda with the hijab and she tells me "I'm going to go look for it" never came back. I later went inside and lo and behold there's Brenda on a phone call in this tiny little kitchen crammed up with the cooks and other staff. The owner of this place should be ashamed of himself because the kitchen doesn't even accommodate that many workers. LONG STORY SHORT... I received my order at 2pm. Opened the bag to check my order before leaving and it was thrown together. No BBQ sauce on the meat in SIGHT! (See photo attached) Food stains on all the containers. Chicken was small in size and dry. Chicken link was cold. Mac & cheese and greens were decent. They gave me bbq sauce in a cup (after I asked) with "complimentary cornbread". How about refunding some of my money and/or offering me a cold beverage to go with my food after waiting in the heat for over 1hr!? No. They were avoidant and made excuses the whole time. This place is a joke and should be SHUT DOWN! They need to be CLOSED and the only people I feel bad for are the kitchen crew. I could tell they were under so much pressure and stress. The staff bringing the orders out didn't seem to be bothered, lacked compassion, empathy and had a total disregard for customers who were waiting. They didn't try to compensate or rectify the situation (i.e. returning some of my money, offer a cold beverage) and my food was $56 dollars including tip (because it was pre-ordered so tip was included). The plate I received was not worth the amount and this establishment is not worth anyone's time or money. I don't think I've ever said this before but I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE even remotely thinking about ordering from here NOT TO DO IT!!!

My friend has lived in Inglewood for decades, moved out of state and when he came for a visit, he wanted to go here for dinner. Love how they close late! I got the two item with two side combo which I picked brisket, pork ribs, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. Those collard greens are the best I've had. Not too sour and had a nice kick of spice. Then the Mac n cheese! So cheesy! These sides were better than the meats I got, though the brisket was pretty good! Ribs were ok. A bit on the small, skinny side. They have a security guard outside, who doubles as the host? He had asked if it was for dine in, opened the door and called out a table # for us to sit. Decor inside is very nice and modern. Though the silverware did not match the ambiance. Plastic water cups and plastic knives and forks. Hmm? At least the brisket was fall apart yummy! No fork or knife needed.

This is not a bad spot considering I do not eat/like much bbq. Since I went with a group of ladies for a friend's birthday, I indulged. I only ordered french fries and fried zucchini. Both were good. After tasting a piece of my friend's cornbread muffin (also don't care for), I decided to order my own to go. The buttery taste and softer cake-like texture did me in. Yum! As for the rum punch, it's a no for me. Seems like it had midori sour in it (gag) and no liquor. I guess going to Jamaican twice and having it authentically made has me biased. Lol Luckily I had cash to cover my meal. The waiter explained an extra 3+% charge to every person paying with a credit card. That's a bit ridiculous and seems like a heck of a scam. The place is small. There's a small bar and patio seating with TVs, both good for sports seasons. *Edited since the owner commented... A card fee of 2+% or 3+%, whatever! It's still a scam to me. The price of food is high enough compared to what you get.

Date night was a bust, so I took myself out to a spot I chose The wood BBQ & Sportsbar in Inglewood, The City of Champions. I saw grilled salmon on the menu and decided to try it. Glad I did--the salmon was cooked perfectly, not overdone. I enjoyed it with some tasty barbecue sauce, collard greens, and some of the best potato salad I've had in a long time. I also ordered cornbread muffins that were delicious, reminding me of Dulan Soul Food's muffins. The presentation on a tray threw me off a little, especially with plastic utensils, individually wrapped, which I wasn't used to. Still, it didn't stop me from enjoying my meal. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and I chose outdoor for some people watching--it was worth it. The prices were reasonable, and the food was excellent. I added a little hot sauce to the greens, and the hot sauce they provided made it perfect. My server, Darell, was friendly, giving me space to relax and checking on me as needed. I'll definitely be coming back to The Wood Urban Kitchen at 129 North Market St., Inglewood, CA. When you go, tell them OMAR sent you--peace and love. #KeepGoingOAM

We came here for SuperBowl Sunday, and could not understand why they refused to put the pre-game on until the 3:00 Black National Anthem, then immediately went back to the D.J. We missed every pre-game band and song, all the SuperBowl commercials, all the chitter and chatter re the game--utterly frustrating! They opened doors at noon--for the SuperBowl, yet had an asinine 90 min. table rule. Y'all better be glad The Nile had a huge cover charge, or our party of 7 would have walked down the street. We will next time, due to the rude treatment of the owner, when asking about getting the pre-game. What venue have you ever been to that hosts a game, yet plays music all the way through it? I mean, they literally muted the game and played music during SuperBowl commercials! But they call this a viewing party?! For a regular visit, I guess it'll work. I've done only take-out previously. Food is good. Service is generally good, with a couple of bad apples. Prices on par with other BBQ restaurants. SuperBowl VIEWING party? Never again.

Pricey. The brisket was dry , the mac and cheese was good. The bartender was on point though!

The food here is very well prepared and the brisket is likely the best in LA. Will frequently visit this location.
