Oooh so Yummy! We had a wonderful brunch experience at Southern Gentleman yesterday. Ariel, our server was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive! The skillet, cornbread, pancake topped with fried chicken was a Work of Art! Who would have thought? Mimosas were delicious! We will definitely return for more Southern Masterpieces and hospitality.

One of my favorite brunch spots. I came in on a Sunday, and surprisingly it wasn't crowded inside. It was quiet inside, but enough people talking to fill the atmosphere. Our sever was so sweet and attentive to refills. She offered us some great recommendations that we followed. The food was amazing, as always. I ordered the hush puppies as an appetizer and they did not disappoint. I ordered the burger for my entree and it was absolutely amazing.

Came for brunch on a Saturday morning at 11am. No problem getting seated right away but by the time we were leaving there was a wait so definitely get there early or make reservations on weekends. The portion size was surprisingly very large for both of our meals. We ordered the Southern Fried Chicken & Country Skillet Cake and the Classic Double Patty Cheeseburger. To our surprise the country skillet cake under the chicken was a very large but good tasting corn bread. Overall nice restaurant with inside and outside dining with good tasting food and service.

Cute establishment and good service. Our vendor picked this restaurant and I'm not a big southern food fan. The cappuccino martini was creamy and delicious. The fried chicken was too well done. Everything was just a bit too heavy for my liking, but that's southern food, right? I wish there were a few lighter options on the menu. I loved the giant round table we dined at.

Southern Gentleman made for a fantastic Friday date night! My partner made our reservation same-day and we managed to get beautiful patio seating for two just before golden hour. We started the meal with a seasonal Sam Adams and their house Old Fashioned. I found the cocktail to be well mixed. As starters, we ordered Pork Belly skewers, hush puppies, and the pimento cheese hand pies. The pork belly skewers were the star of the show - perfectly tender and covered in a delicious sweet/savory sauce. The hush puppies were massive and sat on a sweeter sauce, I wish that there was more sauce for the hush puppies as they naturally veer a bit drier but they were still good. I honestly poured a little of the hand pies side jam sauce on them. The pimento hand pies felt like an ode to a crab Rangoon with a yummy Grammy jam flare. As our main we split the pot roast and a side of their mac and cheese. The pot roast was no-knife-needed. So tender and paired well with rainbow carrots, mashed potatoes, and a yummy sauce. The Mac and cheese though. Ooooooo that was soooo good. My partner basically claimed it the second it hit the table. Would definitely go back just for the Mac and cheese and pork belly app! The staff were very kind and helpful - loved their attentiveness!

I got the butter milk fried chicken and beet salad The beet salad was delicious. However, I could've skipped the buttermilk fried chicken. The buttermilk fried chicken skin was a bit soggy. They deboned the chicken. The cornbread with sweet potato was dense sweet delicious for dessert. Service was average beautiful ambience perfect for a date or girls hanging out.

Shannon was our server and she was seriously the best server of any restaurant I have ever been too and I eat a lot lol. Food was amazing!!! I would fly back here from Ca just for the sweet potato corn bread! Omg!!!! The ambiance was perfect.

Food was ok, chicken was a bit salty. The sweet potato bread was a nice balance. Smoked Gouda Mac & cheese was good too. Their drinks are pretty good. My server James was excellent. The ambiance is nice, very masculine.

Came here for a team outing based on a recommendation from a colleague. This is definitely a nice restaurant that prides itself on its service and food. Staff and Service: - All of the staff were very nice and accommodating Food and Drinks: - Strawberry Lemonade: refreshing - Sweet Potato Cornbread: this was so delicious. As someone who loves sweet potato, I could have eaten a whole serving of this if I wasn't sharing with others. Even my colleague who doesn't like sweet potato went for seconds! - Burger: quite a large burger, so I only ate half (due to having eaten appetizers prior). Flavor and sauce were good, and came with plenty of fries - Deviled Eggs: the seasoning on this was flavorful and fun - Red Beans & Rice Cassoulet: thought this was going to be a mediocre basic / simple dish. It was flavorful and I would have eaten more if there weren't so many other appetizers - Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese: another delicious appetizer that was full of flavor and creamy Miscellaneous: - This restaurant makes it easy to do family style if that's your vibe - lots of appetizers to choose from and share - Parking available via parking lots and street parking - This restaurant is located on the second floor and can be accessed via an elevator - Good for small and large groups (there were about 10 in our group and we had a private space. We also saw a party using the whole outside space - Indoor and outdoor dining available

The Southern Gentleman is located on the second floor of a shopping complex in a modern, stylish space. The restaurant features a centrally located bar with tables arranged around the perimeter, creating a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. We were greeted with genuine enthusiasm, and our hostess maintained that warm, positive attitude throughout our visit. She was an absolute delight and made us feel very welcome. We started with the assorted house pickles and the fried green tomatoes, and both were excellent. Every dish we ordered was delicious, including the shrimp and grits, pork chop, grit cake, and the key lime pie for dessert. Everything was well prepared and full of flavor. Overall, The Southern Gentleman delivered great food, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere. It's a wonderful place for a meal, and I would definitely return.

Excellence wins. For my birthday I was taken here by a dear friend. The manager, Michaela, & our server, Ciara, were absolutely wonderful to us. Attentive & accommodating. The food was delicious & delivered in a timely manner. The drinks were well-made. And the environment was easygoing *a personal preference : I'd admonish corporate/home office to update that musical playlist*. They even participated in my friend's surprise birthday cake & gifts for me. Bravo! I can't overstate the experience of being made to feel cared for. It was my first time visiting, but certainly not the last. I can't wait to go back. Thanks. (Holliwood)

It was a great experience with good food and service. Cocktails and drinks were made perfect. We had a great sample of southern fare that was elevated just a notch - not losing any of the southern soul. Welcoming atmosphere that was decorated beautifully with the lighted bar that drew your attention in the middle.

Celebrating a birthday with a party of 11. The hostess got us seated right away and Brandon our server introduced himself and took drink orders. We also ordered some appetizers for the table. We had a fantastic evening! Service was top notch. Brandon took care of every need, checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. He was friendly, energetic and engaged even while waiting on several other tables. Our food was delicious! Portions were generous and everyone enjoyed their meals. We have been customers here several times over the years and this restaurant is a gem!

My friends and I had a great time and loved our quirky and knowledgeable server. It's clear that the beer list is expertly crafted, and the cocktails are balanced without being too sweet. I had the grapefruit rosemary margarita while one of my friends tried the special open cask offering. Now, lets get into the food...specifically the FRIES. The apps and entrees we ordered were so good, yet nothing holds a candle to those super crispy fries and the Belgian aioli that comes alongside. Literally, everything was good (shoutout to the beef tartare, goat cheese fritters, tuna melt, smash burger, and crispy chicken sandwich) but I doubled back to get an extra order of fries to go. The next time in 2024 when I was in the area, they were closed for a remodel. Today was the day. The beer selection was fantastic and so was the food. I got the pork sandwich with greens on top. It was delicious, but it could've not had juices leaking so much? Maybe cheese below and above the meat to try to keep some of the juices off the bun or maybe more bun toasting? The fries were amazing and I should've gotten the aolie initially, but didn't get it until I saw another table with an order. It was delicious. The service was very good. The server had good knowledge of the beers, food, and was friendly. This is one of the best beer bars in the US. The Atlanta area is fortunate to have two killer beer bars, the other being the Brick Store Pub in Decatur.

Holeman and Finch is known for its burger, and deservedly so, but I can't stress enough how good the other food and drink are here. Looking at the current list of Atlanta restaurants in the Michelin Guide, I think Holeman and Finch deserves to be included. I wonder why they got snubbed. Holeman and Finch relocated to Colony Square in Midtown in February 2023. The restaurant validates parking in the Colony Square garage for two hours. We stayed just over two hours and ended up paying $6. I like to enter and exit the garage via Peachtree St NE. There's also an entrance/exit on 14th St NE, next to The Starling hotel. We used to go to the original location in Brookwood/South Buckhead circa 2010 when only 24 burgers were made per night and released at 10pm. Holeman and Finch existed in that location from 2008 to 2020. It was quite the Yelp hot spot: https://www.yelp.com/biz/holeman-and-finch-atlanta-2 This new location at Colony Square is way more spacious and looks great. There's indoor and outdoor (covered and uncovered) seating. The atmosphere is that of a modern, upscale pub. It's nice. Reservations can be booked on OpenTable, so get those dining points. Our server said the brunch menu was served until 4pm. Here's what my wife and I had: Drinks: * H&F Bloody Mary ($14) * Iced Tea - half sweet, half unsweet ($5) Graze: * Naturally Served Oysters ($5 each) - cocktail sauce, mignonette, buttered saltines, horseradish - Lowcountry Cups - Charleston, SC - Dukes of Topsail - Topsail Sound, NC - Dixon Point - New Brunswick, Canada * Deviled Egg Trio ($9) - classic, country ham, and Pickapeppa mayo * Hand Chopped Sirloin Steak Tartare ($20) - capers, horseradish, egg yolk, chips * Simple Lettuces ($15) - citrus vinaigrette, crisp shallots, fromage blanc, pecans Sandwiches: * H+F Cheeseburger ($28) - certified Angus and Hereford beef, onions, Kraft, fries Plates: * Housemade Scottish Gravlax ($18) - toasted brioche, fried Pantelleria capers, lemon dill clabber * Holeman + Finch Vegetable Plate ($32) - "all that is best from our Southern farms" Dessert: * Sticky Toffee Pudding ($14) - vanilla ice cream Everything, down to the sweet tea, was fantastic. The Bloody Mary was strong and so delicious that I gulped it down. All of the dishes were beautifully plated and finished. The oysters were fresh, superb quality, and cleanly shucked. They forgot the crackers, but that's okay. I highly recommend the deviled eggs. They were perhaps the best we've ever had anywhere. If you're unfamiliar with Pickapeppa, it's a sweet and savory Jamaican brown sauce that is used to make the mayo for this dish. There was nothing "simple" about the Simple Lettuces salad. It was pretty much a perfect, tasty, and refreshing salad. As for the H+F Cheeseburger, it's a classic and continues to be one of the best burgers around. Every bite is just so good, and the ketchup and mustard remain distinct. If you've never had the burger before, get it here or at H&F Burger at Ponce City Market. The Truist Park version isn't the same and I've never tried the Mercedes-Benz Stadium version (the old Turner Field version was legit, though). If you like gravlax, wow - the gravlax here is amazing and really well made. The Vegetable Plate was terrific as well. It featured potatoes, okra, beans, succotash, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and more with a fried onion ring on top. It's a great dish to share. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was top-notch - exceptional texture and flavor, and perfectly paired with a scoop of dense vanilla ice cream. Our server was Jonathan R. The staff are fantastic, personable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. They really know their craft and are happy to share recommendations on both drinks and food. The ambiance adds so much to the experience, I recommend you to come and relax on the patio or grab a seat at the bar. There's such a great vibe all around that makes you want to stay awhile. If you're in the area, definitely stop by, you'll enjoy every bit of the atmosphere that Brick Store has been giving all this time. I will be back!

Got a text back saying they don't take reservations, it's first come, first serve, but they would do what they could to accomodate us. 4 of us were seated and we had 2 more coming before we wanted to order. The wait staff was attentive, making sure we had our beverages and if we needed anything before the 2 arrived. Once they arrived, the staff gave us a few minutes to make sure the 2 had a chance to look at the menus. We ordered appetizers to start...corn bread, sage fried pierogies and poutine. We weren't sure about the poutine because we didn't see any gravy, we did see the cheese curds on the fries, but once we finally dug in, the gravy was at the bottom. The pierogies were tasty. We asked if they could cut the cornbread so each of us could get a taste, which they did. Corn bread had a toasted texture, and the honey butter was delicious! Everyone ordered something different. One had fish and chips, which would seem to be a likely order for a pub. Their special for the day was a ruben. Another ordered a falafel sandwich, and I think 2 salmon BLT's and then one salad with rainbow trout. Portions were not overwhelming, but we realized that we were full from the appetizers and almost everyone ended up taking most of their main choices in doggie bags (boxes). As time got closer to the festival to start, it did get crowded, but the staff handled the influx of people and people were seated relatively quickly. This was a nice destination as most of the group live a drive from Decatur. Lovely afternoon visit!

Our server, Trey, was awesome. He was attentive, friendly, and really helped make the experience smooth from start to finish. One thing I loved about Argosy is the ambiance. It can go either way--you can keep it super casual or dress it up a bit for a night out. I also noticed they have karaoke on certain nights, which I definitely plan on coming back for. We started with cocktails and ordered the Rosé Cadillac (I took a picture of the menu for details), and it was really good. As a self-proclaimed lightweight, I appreciated that it was enjoyable without being too overwhelming. For food, we split a wood-fired pizza--the "Boss Hogg"--and each got a six-piece order of lemon pepper wings. The wings were okay, but the pizza? Absolutely slammin. Looking back, I definitely should've taken some home. Overall, Argosy feels like one of those spots that works for any occasion--date night, casual hangout, or group outing. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu and bring some friends along.
