I've loved Yebo's ambiance for years, which makes writing this review a bit disappointing. This was actually our first date spot back when they were on West Paces Ferry, and we returned on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. to celebrate our 9-year dating anniversary. Unfortunately, it will probably be our last visit. We arrived on time but our table wasn't ready, so we grabbed drinks at the bar. Prior to our reservation, my husband had coordinated with the restaurant to surprise me with a prosecco toast for the occasion. They had even confirmed the details with him beforehand. But when we arrived... nothing. No acknowledgment at reception, and our server even asked if we were celebrating anything special. After we'd already ordered drinks and appetizers, my husband had to step away and track down a manager himself. They eventually brought the toast and comped it, but by then the moment had passed. What was supposed to be intentional time together started with frustration instead. As for the food: * The special octopus ceviche had me so excited because octopus and ceviche are two of my favorite things. Sadly, it missed the mark. The octopus was oddly warm in an otherwise cold dish, the coconut milk sauce fell flat, and the rice crisps served alongside it were so stale we couldn't even bite into them. * ostrich sliders are always a good choice, although a bit more well done than we'd have preferred * truffle mushroom ravioli was outstanding * I ordered the salmon and substituted the potatoes for broccolini. The entire dish was dry as a bone. The salmon was overcooked, the broccolini was overly charred, and the kale was practically burnt to a crisp. I do have a dairy allergy, but I was surprised the kitchen didn't attempt to add any olive oil, lemon juice, sauce, or anything else to bring moisture and balance to the plate. The spicy margaritas were great... as long as we got the bartender with the curly hair. One round was excellent; another was genuinely awful. The gin and tonics were consistently good. Take me back. I visited a year ago with my boyfriend and ending up liking his scallop entree more than mine so I had to come back and order them for myself. I can't tell you how delicious they were. Yebo Beach Haus is still a staple. I've always loved their food, so I was excited when a friend chose it for one of my birthday dinners. They had the igloos set up, which are always a cozy and fun touch during the winter season. Our server, Stormy, was extremely pleasant and helpful, guiding us through our selections for the evening. We ordered the lamb chops, halibut, Brussels sprouts, and enjoyed two glasses of Chenin Blanc. The lamb chops are recommended medium, but my friend opted for medium-well. There is a disclaimer on the menu that if you order a different temperature, the dish can't be sent back--but he was happy with his choice. I really enjoyed the halibut, especially the curry sauce paired with coconut rice--it was flavorful and well balanced. The Brussels sprouts were just okay, nothing memorable. One thing to note: if you're visiting for a birthday, they don't do anything special like a comped dessert. It's a nice date night spot in Buckhead. We enjoyed the haus fondue appetizer. I hate brussel sprouts and I found it odd that they couldn't just substitute another item on the plate. My husband and I chose Yebo Beach Haus for dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day. It was DELICIOUS. There was a prefixed menu which we weren't upset about at all. The options were amazing. And Kenny, our server was very kind. For our appetizers I had the Apres salad, Rockefeller oysters and baenki caviar (which was stellar). Something unique about my experience with this restaurant is the fact that I have ordered the same thing every single time. The lamb chops are always something I look forward to, and I don't really find myself interested in anything else on the menu! I decided to go for no appetizers this evening, and went straight to my main course. I did order a red wine, it was the French Bordeaux, Cru Monplaisir. There's nothing I like more with my steak or lamb chop then a full-bodied red wine, and I was disappointed to find that it was served... Chilled? Again, simply a choice or preference of temperature, but for me, I want my red wine to be room temperature. That way I can feel and taste the full body of the grape. It wasn't a pleasant shock to the system to feel the cold red wine after a bite of lamb. It just was off, and in the future, I really urge Yebo to ask their customers how they would like their wine serve served. The lamb chops were OK today. While they were seasoned well on the outside, as I got further into the shop, it was clear that the seasoning did not penetrate past that first layer. Added to that, there was supposed to be a chimichurri on the lamb chop, and that seemed to be grilled on the fire with the meat. I would've liked it a lot more if they drizzled it on top of the lamb chop as well. This is my third time here, and I think I've seen all I needed to see, and I'm ready to try something else read more

Though it was a pretty frigid day, the outdoor heaters and fur lined chairs made it comfortable and enjoyable. While we didn't try anything that was particularly South African this trip, we did get the Lobster Linguine and the Chilean Sea bass, both which were delicious. There is ample seating at tables and the bar inside as well as special igloos outside for their winter pop up. Probably not the best place for a large party as I didn't notice any tables larger than 6, and the aisles were pretty narrow. Inside the restaurant is pretty dark but still manages to capture the beachy vibe. Our waitress was pretty good and gave good recommendations, but often interactions felt rushed. Unfortunately extremely disappointed with my most recent trip to Yebo. This previously was one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants and I was SO excited to bring an out of town friend to this vibey spot. I made a reservation for 7:15pm on a Friday. We got there early to have a drink at the bar (the frozen espresso martini is still one of the best I've ever had) we checked in originally and then checked in again at 7:05pm as the hostess asked us to. 7:30pm come and went and we still had not been seated, after a few more check-ins the hostess, she asked if we'd be okay with a hightop near the bar, otherwise we'd have to wait awhile. We agreed to the high top. Despite agreeing to this the location was less than optimal and was extremely high traffic where we were constantly being bumped into by strangers and could barely hear each other. Normally I would not complain since we agreed to this, but having had a reservation that was not honored on time and the bad service to follow made this extremely frustrating. Once seated, the service took things even further downhill. Our waiter seemed to be having a bad day and did not even greet us, and opened with "are you ready to order?". He barely came by our table. The three times during our meal that he did, he was extremely uninterested and unengaged in servicing us which was the complete opposite experience that I'd had previous times at Yebo. Had to send back the oysters Rockefeller because they were not good at all and the presentation alone looked as if a 2yr old scooped out spinach from a can and dumped it on the baby sized oyster shell. I've been here many times prior to this review however, tonight's experience definitely deserved my digital footprint.
