An experience that put our whole stay at Big Cedar over the top! Can't think of a better way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. This spot has the best reviews of anywhere connected to Big Cedar, and it's easy to see why. The atmosphere, situated overlooking the lake in a former railroad magnate's summer home, is top tier. You can imagine the parties thrown here in the 1920's. The ambiance adds so much, but the food was stellar as well. The bread service included some kind of cheddar cheese bread (I think?) that was delicious. I ordered a classic ceasar salad that was very good, and the bison tenderloin which was absolutely the right call for what I was after. It was perfectly cooked (I went medium), over rosemary whipped potatoes with broccolini. It was so flavorful, and so filling in a good way too. No frou-frou sized portions here. Service was wonderful, as we lingered and drank wine, then capped our meal off with an apple strudel, topped with vanilla ice cream. The whole space was so cool, including the cocktail bar downstairs, which is must-visit in my opinion. A highly memorable date night, and world's better than all the other restaurants around!

Food great, service excellent. For whatever reason, the area we were seated in had seats that were too low for the tables. We felt like little children trying to eat our steak dinner. Far from ideal. The duck fat fries were way underdone and we sent them back and when they came back to the table they were closer to burned on the outside and still underdone in the middle. Our server took them off, which was fine, but really looked we really looked forward to those fries with our steaks.

The best meal we had of all the restaurants. We started with appetizers. The crab cake and the beet salad were both really good. The Chilean sea bass and the filet were both cooked perfectly. Service was on point.

If you're looking for a classy fine dining experience in the Branson area, The Worman House is a must. In our experience, everything about it lived up to a high standard. It was a perfect romantic atmosphere for us to celebrate our anniversary. The cocktails seemed high quality and I loved the Havana High Life myself. Chilean Sea Bass is perhaps my favorite entree so I was excited to try theirs. The flavors, portion size, and plating were all outstanding in my opinion. I certainly savored every bite. The service was excellent and we were well taken care of throughout our time here. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Celebrating our wedding anniversary... Everything was SPECTACULAR! Exceptional service, food, the solo singer, ambiance, and the view... everything was outstanding, making it a truly special evening.

Everything was excellent. The food was very delicious. Our server was one of the best we have ever had. The view of the sunset over the lake was amazing. It's a little pricey; but you definitely get what you pay for.

Wonderful food and service. Thanksgiving meal was HUGE. We had a large group and everyone complained about how much food went to waste.

I will absolutely make a day trip from St. Louis to go have a meal here again, undoubtedly. The service was impeccable; everyone on site was warm, thoughtful and made sure the experience was perfect. They answered every one of my gluten free questions without even blinking and even make recommendations that I wouldn't have even considered. I was absolutely stuffed when I left; and have no regrets. The ambiance was warm, cozy and inviting; the absolute stop on a bubbling district street that has some of the best Springfield has to offer. If you're considering stopping by here? Go! The menu is extensive, generous and if you make a reservation, try to avoid the bustle of what all the locals already know-- this place is popular!

My sister and I dined outside which reminded me of a cafe on the street in Paris. We both ordered the salmon salad. It did take some time for our order to arrive but it was well worth it. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The salad was fresh and flavorful. The waitress was very attentive with refills on iced tea and cold water in jars for the table. Everyone we came into contact with was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

I have visited this place several times now and always been impressed... until tonight…read more It was a Saturday night. It was 8pm, 2 hours before closing and an hour before the kitchen closed. We were promptly greeted and seated as always. We were then immediately greeted by the server, Austin, who made it very clear his mission was to get us in and out promptly. He immediately asks if we knew what we wanted to drink. Mind you we literally just sat down. I told him we would look at the menu but we'd like some bread and oil to start with. He came back for our drink order after just a minute or two and then immediately asked for our food order. Mind you we haven't even hit the 5-6 min mark yet. It was quite clear we were being rushed. So we hurried and gave him our food order. But because I was already perturbed, no drinks were ordered. Now mind you I almost always get a bottle or two of wine. (one of the main reasons we go there is the wine selection) Our server Austin returned after about five minutes with our food. Getting our food so quickly was a surprise. However, still no bread and oil so I reminded him. Which he admitted he forgot. The food was lukewarm at best and had no flavor. We waited for a few minutes for Austin to return so we could ask for salt and Pepper only for him "this time" to suddenly disappear. So I got up and asked the bartenders for salt and pepper. The food was bland and the serving size was half of what we usually get there. When Austin finally returned with the bread and oil, the bread was cold. No attempt at heating it or toasting it. It was literally a roll of French bread, cut into slices, and then some oil thrown in. We were hungry so we ate our dinners. Austin returned as soon as he saw we were done eating to take our plates and asked if we would like any desserts. I made a comment. I don't want any desserts if they taste like our dinner. He then grabbed our plates and walked away, staring at me the entire time. He then immediately brought our tab, which was $79 for two plates of half full pasta dishes, one iced tea and a cold French bread. I have been there several times before to where the service was outstanding, the food delicious, and the atmosphere great. But this was quite disheartening especially at being a Saturday night. I almost always order a bottle or two of wine plus an after dinner cocktail. Because of the way I was made to feel and how bad the food was. I decided not to stay and left almost immediately after my dinner. Especially since it was made so clear we weren't necessarily welcomed to stay. One thing I've always found kind of catchy about the place. Is they serve your water in old retired liquor glasses. Both glasses of water they brought still had the sticky residue left on them. Which was more of an agitation after the night we had. Again, overall, the previous experiences will allow me to go back again. But this experience needed to be heard.
