Slow service. Waited 30 plus minutes for food. The chili is inedible, as is the grilled chicken sandwich. Don't ask to substitute anything. You will get charged without informing you and less product. Stick with the fries cause they will only give you small flat bit of hashbrowns and charge additional $2. Don't ask for onions in the hashbrowns. They'll just throw raw on it at the end and charge additional .75 while another has same charge but onions cooked with it. When you checkout, the receipt and credit charge price are different, including tip up-charged. Paid additional $5 or so. Not saying there wasn't a sign, but I didn't see one. read more

We stayed in a cabin in Ridgedale,Missouri. We wanted breakfast so I looked up on Yelp and we found Log Cabin Cafe that was only a couple miles from where we were staying. We found the restaurant and outside there was lots of second hand furniture for sale. The restaurant was very rustic, we were greeted immediately and shown to our booth. The waitress took our order brought water and coffee and refills. The breakfast was delicious, generous portions. The hash brown potatoes were perfectly cooked. The sausage patty was delicious. Recently visited this cafe at the new location for a late breakfast. Since we were later (almost noon) there was no wait to be seated. Many tables that can accommodate small and large groups as well as booths. The waitress was quick to take our order and came by often to refill our coffee and tea. Meals order were the country fried steak and a bacon and cheese breakfast burrito. The country fried steak was large and had a good breading that didn't crumble off. The breakfast burrito had slices of bacon inside vs the bacon crumbled and cooked into the egg. It was ok, but I would select another option if I went there again. I ordered a BLT it came out and the bacon was practically raw and cold. The waitress took it back and came immediately back with other bacon on my sandwich. She informed me that the cook already had some made. It was completely burnt completely unedible. She looked at it and said oh no. The waitress was very nice and wanted to get me more bacon and try for a third time and I declined. If you can't get it right in two tries I don't give you a third one. read more

Great food. I love the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits are light and fluffy, and the sausage gravy is full of sausage and delicious. My wife had a BLT this time that was wonderful. It was stacked high with bacon. The restaurant has that down home country diner feel and the people that work there are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant used to be near the entrance of big Cedar. They have now moved to 3799 Ridgedale Rd. in Ridgedale. It is definitely worth driving the few extra miles. read more

We ate breakfast here while staying at an Air BnB. The food was amazing. It tasted like eating in the comfort of your own home. The pancakes are huge, 9" round. They are so delicious. The tea is absolutely delicious. I wish they were closer to my everyday life, I would definitely be a regular customer. read more

Ate there for the first time today and really enjoyed it. The breakfast was great - hashbrowns were cooked crispy and just right, great tasting bacon, the lightest and fluffiest biscuits I have eaten in a long time. And, the staff was as nice and friendly as you can get. Definitely will be back the next time I am in Holister area. read more

We loved the Log Cabin cafe. The proximity if you are a guest at Big Cedar Lodge is perfect, 5 mins away right outside the alternative BCL entrance. And prices can't be beat, considering how expensive BCL is. It's quaint and done well, you feel like your in a log cabin, even the bathroom looks like an outhouse. The service is a okay and very friendly. And they have everything you'd want for breakfast or lunch. I get the sense it's probably pretty busy for breakfast and has a reputation for a great breakfast. We went for lunch and (yes you can get breakfast for lunch). The pancakes are huge, seriously you only need to eat one. I enjoyed the grilled cheese, you can never go wrong with that, just wish it was a little bigger. We loved the Log Cabin cage and you will too, they have a great kids meal and our very family friendly. Give it a try and enjoy!! read more

First off, the people who own and work here are awesome. They are friendly and real down to earth people. Secondly, the service was warm, prompt, and attentive. The quality of the food is the major issue. If you need sustenance, this is your place. If you want good quality food, better to drive on to the next location. read more

Unfortunately, we're no longer fans of the service, food, or atmosphere since they moved to the new location. We went again a few months back and the food wasn't great. Portions seemed smaller too, but the price sure didn't get reduced. Our waitress was too busy hanging out and flirting with guys we assumed were her regulars to attend to our needs. The whole place smelled like an ashtray and my son and I have asthma, so that was super fun. The outside curb appeal of the building left something to be desired. Seemed like a ran down yard sale or flea market on the front patio area and very dirty. Log Cabin Cafe's log cabin style charm is definitely gone. I don't think we'll be back. read more

Every time we are on Hwy 65 on Friday and tits around lunch time, we stop in Log Cabin Cafe for their Open Face Roast Beef Sandwich served with green beans and mashed potato's. This is one of my husband and my favorite sandwich of all time and let me tell you, it would be hard to beat their sandwich with white gravy. Service is always checking on you and they are courteous. Since it is a log cabin on the inside well, that's its ambiance. read more

Great food and service. My family and I had breakfast twice on separate days while we were visiting Branson. I had biscuits and gravy the first time, came out hot and plentiful. The plate was covered with biscuits and gravy. The second trip I had the pancakes. Big 9" pancake covered the plate and nice and fluffy. Coffee was great and the service was outstanding. read more

Breakfast served all day! A friend and I stopped here for breakfast and it was tasty. I ordered the 1 egg breakfast ($9.00) and subbed a pancake for the biscuit/toast option. There was no upcharge for subbing which was awesome and this pancake was a meal within itself! The entire breakfast was HUGE and tasty! My friend had an omelet and really enjoyed it as well. The employees all worked together to take care of the customers and multiple people came by to check on us. This restaurant is fairly small but they spaced out the diners. We chose to sit by the door (not thinking) and it was quite cold due to people coming in and out and there is a loud alarm that sounds every time the door opens and repeatedly when it is held open. I gave a fairly low review because this was probably the least favorite place on our trip. Staff wasn't overly friendly but friendly enough. We didn't get everything we ordered, but they did take it off our bill and honestly, after seeing others, we were totally okay with it. Food was really underwhelming. Pancakes were huge. Hash browns were not edible because they were over cooked by about 10 minutes. My omelet was okay but had probably a pound of cheese on it. I'm not saying it wouldn't go back. I just know what to expect. It was probably the most affordable place we ate the whole trip. read more

Another price increase from about a year ago, and it even looks like two price increases. This is prominently a pricing review. My wife and I went to LCC and we were both very disappointed, most because of the prices. Here is a breakdown: Two eggs, hash browns, choice of bacon or sausage, choice of biscuit or toast. $10.25 Correct me if I'm wrong but almost anywhere else you pay 5.99, maybe even up to 7.99. But over ten dollars, we found that a bit much. An order of one biscuit and gravy is $4.25. That's $4.25 for one biscuit and some gravy. A few years ago that started out at $2 per their old menu listed here. I'll tell you a secret and I'll tell you what I did, I ordered a side biscuit ($1.50) and a side of gravy ($2.00). It's only ¢.75 difference but still. My wife got the grilled ham & cheese. And french fries. That's $6.50 for the sandwich with nothing else, crinkle cut fries being extra at $3.00. Also, if you look at the menu, s, m, and l drinks are $1.50, $2.00, $2.50 respectively. Free refills. If you order a drink they charge you for a large drink. I may be missing something here but if it's free refills why the free refills and the different prices? I'm very confused over this one. While you are looking over the pictures of the menus notice the white out. Also notice that there's a menu showing from three years ago, there's a menu from one year ago, and the current menu with corrections. This means four times the prices have increased in the past three years. I came close to scratching off one of the white outs (they are laminated menus, it wouldn't have damaged anything) to see how much more they were charging for the menu item that changed in the past year but thought better of it. Please make sure you look at the correct menu on the menu listings. Two of the menus are outdated , one is current as of June 30, 2019 The food was par for the course, the drink refill came only once despite cups being empty for some time and even having to ask for refills. The service was friendly. The atmosphere is nice. We can only imagine the prices have gone the way they have simply because of Big Cedar being right there. We like to give places two tries before a final verdict but this cafe doesn't need a second visit. We will not be going back. read more

After spending the morning at the Top of the Rock we decided to come here for a quick lunch. The food was pretty good and a lot more reasonable than at 5he resort. The service was good and we enjoyed our meal. I thought I heard someone say they were going to be moving to a new location but not 100% sure. read more

Locations: amazing for being off of the main road. (HWY N65) Atmosphere: super cramped area. Door has a loud motion bell. Owner or manager or employees (which ever it was) was sitting at a table 2 down from us & talked about COVID along with a friend who had diarrhea!! Talking so loud that we could hear them very clearly..... while we were looking at the menu trying to find something to eat. Service: great waitress & friendly!! Quality of food: the restaurant gives you that "homemade" "country style" food but it is over priced cafeteria food. We paid $13.75 for a frozen pork tenderloin patty & greens beans out of a can. We stopped to get gas at Wild Bills and next door was Log Cabin Cafe. We decided to eat breakfast. It is a small cafe with sweet genuine waitresses. All of the food was amazing! My daughter had the French toast, my son had a pancake. The pancake was slightly sweet and melted in your mouth. My boyfriend had a breakfast burrito. All homemade even the tortilla. Again so good. The biscuits and gravy I think was my whole family's favorite! The biscuits were so fluffy and soft. You won't be disappointed with the food for sure. We had high hopes for this little place, but it wasn't great. The food was mediocre, and the service was rude. They seemed genuinely annoyed that I brought my kids there for breakfast even though my kids were very well behaved. Also, the syrup was log cabin syrup... they didn't have real maple syrup (which tells you all you need to know about the quality of food.). My son's sausage patty's were so burnt and overcooked. The kids did like their pancakes, but my breakfast sandwich couldn't even stay together because the biscuit was too soft. read more

The food was good but my friend asked for scrambled eggs and they basically opened an egg in the pan & stirred it around. That's NOT a scrambled egg. My friends pancake was over cooked.
