Over easy eggs with bacon and hash browns and a biscuit with gravy

The food was good. We were waited on promptly. My only negative was some of the items at our booth weren't very clean and there were cobwebs on the wall (not a lot). The server was kind.

It's keep of like an original crackle barrel vibe. It's cute, the staff is super friendly and outgoing. I got the French toast special and it was great! Everything tasted good and was a good price. I'd come back.

Old school! Big plates. Customized. Filling. Solid. Butter forward. Just yum! The place is a trucker's dream. Service was fast and friendly.

We loved the Log Cabin cafe. The proximity if you are a guest at Big Cedar Lodge is perfect, 5 mins away right outside the alternative BCL entrance. And prices can't be beat, considering how expensive BCL is. It's quaint and done well, you feel like your in a log cabin, even the bathroom looks like an outhouse. The service is a okay and very friendly. And they have everything you'd want for breakfast or lunch. I get the sense it's probably pretty busy for breakfast and has a reputation for a great breakfast. We went for lunch and (yes you can get breakfast for lunch). The pancakes are huge, seriously you only need to eat one. I enjoyed the grilled cheese, you can never go wrong with that, just wish it was a little bigger. We loved the Log Cabin cage and you will too, they have a great kids meal and our very family friendly. Give it a try and enjoy!!

Loved the open faced roast beef lunch special. Their omelette was perfectly cooked. Any time you find a restaurant in a truck stop the entrance is through the attached flea market, you have to try it!

Every time we are on Hwy 65 on Friday and tits around lunch time, we stop in Log Cabin Cafe for their Open Face Roast Beef Sandwich served with green beans and mashed potato's. This is one of my husband and my favorite sandwich of all time and let me tell you, it would be hard to beat their sandwich with white gravy. Service is always checking on you and they are courteous. Since it is a log cabin on the inside well, that's its ambiance.

We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservations, the place was pretty empty however they still made us wait until 5 minutes after our reservation time. We had requested a window seat which quite a few were available and they tried to seat us elsewhere! Already I had a bad taste and I hadn't even sat down. After about 3 more minutes she seated us by the window. We were there for a friend's birthday celebration and wanted it to be special. Her husband told the server. My husband ordered the Worman's Manhattan. He really enjoyed the current infused rye whiskey in it. It added a very unique flavor to the drink. We were brought a complimentary chef's taste of a goat cheese on a small bagette and small glass of sparkling wine. My husband ordered the seafood pot pie and I had the French onion soup and winter spice cranberry salad. The soup was very good and flavorful but the salad was average and definitely not worth the price. My husband enjoyed the seafood pot pie. It was a very generous serving . He shared some with me. It was very rich and creamy. I didn't particularly like the mussels and clams still in their shells inside the" pie" however the pot pie is just pastry crust over a cast iron pan with the creamed sea food. After the meal we were given some stale macaroons with filling that tasted like frosting. There was No acknowledgement of my friend's birthday. We decided to walk down to see Harry's cocktail bar downstairs before calling our shuttle. The manager came into the bar in a bit of a hurried frenzy as we were walking out and asked if it was someone's birthday. We pointed to our friend and he told her happy birthday and then left?!?! Overall I was disappointed in the experience for the amount of money we spent.

I'd say the best dish was the scallop appetizer which is served over a risotto - both are excellent and you could easily make a meal of it. Highly recommend just having a big dinner every day there and then just only lunch or breakfast there or in Branson and a lot of outdoor activities....

I ordered a paloma for my wife and I, priced at $22 each -- this would be $9-$14 back in KC... I get it, resort prices, but still got sticker shock. While it looked beautiful, it was not good. Very underwhelming for what you pay, and sparse on alcohol. We got some spinach artichoke dip which was really good and helped salvage the experience. The view out on the patio is nice; you're on "the top of the rock" overlooking the lake and a golf course. It's quite manicured up there, but it's nice either way. We stuck around for the sunset show with bagpipes and a cannon firing which was interesting. At one point he played "Dixie" on the bagpipes, what the hell?? but otherwise it was kind of interesting. So much of the menu here is similar to all their other restaurants, and I found it confusing to keep up with what is what. My take on Big Cedar restaurants after a few days is that Worman House is amazing, as is Truman for breakfast, everything else is kind of all the same average spot mixed together.
