Its a cool vibe but the yuppies come in and let their kids run amuck unsupervised so it distracts from being able to chill and enjoy what this place COULD be. When the weather is nice this is the spot to be! There are yard games for the kids or the adults if you like to play giant connect four or bean bag tosses. We had a great time and the staff was pretty attentive. If you go during some "bad weather" there is covered seating and less people will be there. The burger was absolutely delicious and my fiancé loved his wings. The fries remind me of five guys fries and they were really good. *Bagels only* This review is for the bagels only as I have only had the chance to come here on weekend mornings. Whenever I visit my family in Sanford I always request some bagels at The Yardery. I have had a bagel toasted with cream cheese, toasted with butter, and bacon egg cheese. The sourdough bagels are so good, chewy but not break your jaw chewy. The everything seasoning is the perfect amount. The bacon egg cheese is cooked nicely, cheese is always melted and then bacon is crispy. I have always had a good experience here for breakfast. Excited to one day try out their dinner menu and maybe some of their events like stand up comedy night. Atmosphere is great. My niece is almost three and there's a tire swing and grass for her to run around. They also have a big connect four. Thank You Yelp! Without you, I wouldn't have discovered this gem! Just a short and scenic 11 minute drive away from Sanford Orlando International Airport I was blessed to find this laid back OASIS. The Yardery can mostly be described as your best friends parents back yard... you know... that cool friend... the one with the cool parents, that has all the cool stuff in their back yard and the epic play list! Yup! That place! What can I say? This place is such a vibe! Yardery gives you that back yard feeling all year round with its kid and pet friendly atmosphere. Bright green turf is a smart move making it easy for kids to run and play. There is a cool tire swing, giant connect four, corn hole, giant jenga and more! The outdoor and semi covered seating area allows for both sun and shaded seating. At night the sky transforms with beautiful lights that strung from corner to corner. How can you not fall in love with this place. Oooh but it gets better! The menu is tantalizing. This brewery prides itself in having an array of beers from IPA, to Hefeweizens and sours. As for the menu... what do you eat at a cookout? Burgers and dogs.... But with a twist. I was also able to find Loren BBQ wings and tuna poke on this menu which most definitely made me smile. So I ordered BOTH. Plus the burger Yardery burger is a hit! They are not skimping on the quality of that beef Poke hands down my son asked if I planned to eat the biodegradable bowl too Korean wings. Are sooo fragrant but don't let that sweet scent fool you they have karate kick to them. They made my nose sweat a little. Lol. But my 13 year old finished them off for me Overall we loved this place and stood longer than anticipated. What was meant to be a quick bite turned into a long dinner and a night full of laughs, games and memories. FYI it is very hard to play games without anyones kids getting in the way. Children do run freely. So if you are a competitive player you may want to go later at night perhaps there will be less children. We have been wanting to give this place a try. So tonight, we did just that. Wow, I can't believe we have driven by this area many times and did know this was so close to us. Lauren was our sever this even and was really friendly and nice. We ordered the Crab and Chip dip. Let me tell you this was amazing. They prepared this with real Crab meat, unlike others that use imitation Crab meat. The chips were nice and warn. Not to salty and not greasy. Then we had the Baja Fish Taco's with Sweet Potato Fries. We also ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich. The Baja Fish Tacos were so yummy and light. The Sweet Potato Fries were thick, warm, and delicious. As for the Pulled Pork Sandwich, it was worth every bite. During dinner, we played Corn Hole, Ping Pong, and ended the evening with a game of Foose Ball. What an amazing and fun time. First time we stopped by it was after the Pints & Paws festival and they were jammed packed. They allowed us to use their restroom and I accidentally left my phone. When I realized this I was already walking around town and it was quite a while before I scrambled back to the restaurant. The staff, although super busy, helped locate my phone and give it to me without me feeling like I bothered them. That was very kind of them to do. Then, I came back on a Thursday night and finally tried out their food. Amazing! The food was more on the pricier side, $18 for a chicken sandwich, but after they brought it to me, I understood why. It was HUGE! Delicious, flavorful and the staff was super friendly. My friend ordered tacos and the mexican corn and she loved her entire meal too. The restaurant is outdoors, they have covered patio seating and also seating in the yard. Dogs are welcome and had dog bowls for my 2 pups to drink from. Went for dinner tonight not knowing what to expect and even with the rain, we had a great time! First off, the area is beautiful! There are lots of fun things to do like games and a tire swing for those with kids. The area is also turfed which is nice. Pet friendly as well! They also had covered seating which is where we sat due to the rain. We ordered a variety of things which all were delicious! I really enjoyed the shrimp and the hot honey flatbread! I'd say go for a flatbread if you're unsure. Our friends that joined us had the philly cheesesteak flatbread which they also said was delicious. I had a rum runner which is pretty standard to drink but I mean, you can't go wrong! It was made perfectly. This is a fun place to eat while having the kids entertained! They blast country music over the loud speakers, and the wait staff is very friendly and helpful. There is Astroturf in the uncovered area, under the oak trees. With large type games, such as corn hole and ping pong. There's also a tire swing. The covered area has the bar, several TV's with the current games, older movies, and what looked like a YouTube channel. The food is a mix up, some southern, some seafood, and some Tex mix. It comes out in to go containers which was perfect because we had to leave quickly due to a storm. You get only one brand of wine, it's the basics; Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, & Sauvignon. A dryer type. Plenty of beers to choose from! As well as many cocktails. We had the chicken salad, the chicken wrap with corn side, and Chardonnay. The salad was huge, plenty of variety (onion, tomato , bacon and cheese) and chicken was fresh 'n fried. The chicken wrap was good, but the side of corn was show stealer. This place was fun for a group of moms to meet up as it was kid friendly. They have s giant connect four, corn hole, and a tire swing. It was PACKED on the weekend so it was difficult to find a table, let alone a clean table but it worked out! This also meant that it took a while for the servers to get to you. It's seat yourself and a couple of servers were walking around but we had to wave them down each time we needed them. The food was just average. I got the margarita flatbread and it was yummy but very greasy and could have done with a few more tomatoes. My friend said her wings were really good and the sweet potato bites were okay but perfect for the kiddos. I'd love to go back on a day when it isn't so busy! read more

came in at about 10 pm on this friday night. sat down and waited a while for a server to greet us (there were at least three that we saw working) and no one did so we figured to go up to the bar and ask if the kitchen is still open. the woman just replied "yes" without offering menu or anything so we asked for one and put in our drinks. went back up a while later to order for dine in, then paid & tipped. thought that was weird because since they opened, it's been a seat yourself situation and it's always been good service up until now. the woman walks up to our table shortly after ordering to inform us tuna was out of stock but didn't come back with a menu or offered anything so i asked for the fish tacos to replace it.... which isn't the same price. ahi tuna salad was $21 and the fish tacos are $16 or $17. she offered nothing else to even it out or any solutions. weird! then on top of that a girl brought fries to the table and walked off when we didn't order anything that came with fries so we left it untouched at the end of the table. then couple minutes later saw a server walk around the patio with our food offering it to two other tables and when they declined it, she came here and said she mixed us up. THEN had the nerve to hand me my tacos and take the fries off the table and give them STRAIGHT to the other table!!! insane work. i've been a server for a while and as i know it, once food touches a table it's trash if they don't take it. it was on our table for multiple minutes and thankfully we didn't touch it but she had no way to know that. no manager came to touch tables either and check on anyone. mind you, i see the servers actively talking to other tables and taking payments at tables as well after they had eaten- while we are walking up to the bar to get what we need, orders, drink refills, napkins, cutlery...this experience was so weird and will not be returning. ambiance nice as always, food good. service terrible read more

This place os a great find seated in Sanford a little off of the main historic district. The concept of this restaurant is a backyard eatery, there is no "inside" it is all outdoor seating with a kitchen, bar and a "yard" the yard doubles as a play area for kids early in the day and there are ping pong tables as other things that are great for adults in a evening too....pretty ingenious concept.. Wile there are some covered areas, I imagine the place is a little challenging when it is rainy. The vibe of the place is very laid-back and casual - which is a necessity given the back-yard setting. The "yard" artificial turf, so no worries about bus, weeds or anything weird on your legs while you are eating for the most part, but it still gives a reasonable backyard feeling. I thought it was a nice concept. The menu is direct, yet there are a fair number of choices to select from. We ordered the loaded fries to start - it was a decent sized tray with cheese and bacon and jalapeños on it (we opted to hold off on the jalapeños) The fries were good and the bacon was really pretty awesome, albeit there was not quite enough bacon and cheese on them to really ensure all the fries had some of these ingredients to flavor them - nonetheless - they were good. I ordered a Yardery burger which is a smash-style burger with cheese, bacon, Yoder's y sauce and a few other things,. It was cooked concert and it was pretty sizable. Our Serb vet recommended adding pulled pork on top of it - which I did and the pork was very flavorful. I had coleslaw on the side whichever was nicely made, but not wet enough for my preference. My wife ordered the Pulled bork sandwich on the Brioche and enjoyed it as well. She was disappointed to learn that they were out of the sweet potato tots, (as was I b/c I wanted to steal one!) so she ordered the Street corn which was corn cut off the cob with butter and seasoning. - I did steal a bite of the corn from her and i preferred it to the coleslaw I had ordered. It was very tasty. Our server was friendly and made several recommendations. He was sad attentive and checked on us regularly. They have a fairly decent alcohol menu which makes this place a great hangout anytime of the day over some really good food. Glad we got to try this place out. They do have a small parking lot, but out was full when I arrived, so we had to park around the corner on the street - a minor inconvenience, but manageable. read more

The service was amazing! Every single employee was pleasant and hard working. Boy, were they busy and I can see why! The atmosphere was beautiful! This is a perfect place for families with children. I love the spacious yard for the children. My best friend's daughter had a ball running around and playing with all sorts of goodies to include the tire swing. Soooo I was here just last weekend evening with my husband and two of our best friends. Staff was honest and up front about the kitchen being backed up and notified us that our order would take awhile before reaching us. I do appreciate the honesty and that was no problem for us at all since we weren't in a rush. Unfortunately, all four of our entrées were not at all good :( Two of us ordered the pork tacos. The taco shell were incredibly stale. All four of our french fries were soggy and heavily oily. My friend's burger was not cooked properly and he mentioned it lacked flavor. My hot chicken sandwich was soggy and fell apart. This was our first visit and I'm sure it was a fluke. This is an excellent restaurant. Read my story: I ordered a burger, but they did not cook it as I was expecting. Happily, they cook another one following my instructions at no extra charge. When I got the second sandwich, I changed my mind and requested a small burger. Since the burger has fewer ingredients, I thought I could pay less. Then, I left the restaurant for a few hours, and my third burger got cold. Upon my return, a new cook served me and quickly gave me another burger. The best is that after four burgers, I wasn't happy, and did not pay. Did I say that I bought two great clients, a real estate advisor, and a contractor? Now I check my credit card daily to see if they finally will change me for my four burgers, but they have not. They have incredible customer service and are very patient with clients like me. The live music today was amazing, instrumental guitar to popular songs without vocals at the perfect volume. All in all a great lunch for everyone. We disliked the pulled pork and baked beans, but out of 10 meals that was the only one that missed. The mango jalapeño margarita was wonderful. Pleasantly surprised. I had never heard of this place and when we showed up at Sanford Brewing, they had a private event, so we jumped on Yelp to see what else was around. They don't have in-house craft beers like SB, but they did have a variety, plus wine and mixed drinks. I have to say I was a big disappointed with this place. The concept has great intentions and is a good little spot for kids to run around but there was a good amount of things that make me not really want to return. Service was slow... prices are way too high for what you get. We got some cheese fries and the cheese was barely melted and just stuck together in one clump. They forgot the dipping sauce and when we got it ... it was disappointing. It was like someone just mixed mayo with garlic powder and called it a day. Not really special for something called "yardery sauce." My friend got the quesadilla and it didn't look appetizing. The least appetizing thing was the smell there. There were two open dumpsters only feet away from where you eat and the smell was awful. Not to mention you are getting swarmed by flies. I think this place has more potential but please be realistic with your prices and move the dumpsters. read more

It is so hard leaving this review because I don't want to share this place with y'all! It is that good that I want to keep it myself. Seriously. I came across this place on a Tuesday. I saw unlimited wine and flatbreads on Wednesdays, and I was sold!! Upon walking in, it's not your traditional restaurant. It's literally outside! There is turf, traditional bar tables sitting high and low, and there is a picnic area! The restaurant is literally outside! I saw a a sign that says shots in the yard when it rains-interesting! When I walked up to the bar, I was greeted by Jill. A complete sweetheart! She gave us our options for dining and of course we opted for the $20 unlimited wine and flatbread. The picnic area is reserved for the $20 special, and they keep the flatbreads coming out! You go the bar for your wine sample, and they had options! Taylor, the bartender, was fantastic! Taylor kept the drinks coming and was beyond friendly! There was an artist selling paintings on the turf and there are many outside games to play. The place is definitely worthy of a visit! Only reason I deducted a star was because of one specific thing. They allow pets, which I love as a dog owner myself, but I personally wasn't a fan of the dogs under the picnic area where the open food is. We could see the dog hair flying around from a large dog that was there, so that ended the journey. Could be a one off situation, but this was my experience. Still a great place! We had a great experience and tasty food at the Yardery. Our server Sage was very informative on the menu and the downtown Sanford area. We ate outside in 90 degrees but were very comfortable because of all the large fans softly moving the air around us. Sage made our first time there so great that we will be back soon. read more

The whole restaurant is outside which is pretty cool! They have servers or a bar you can just walk up to and we did just that. Husband ordered a beer and I love cocktails so I went with the mojito since it also said it had raspberry puree. The puree wasn't actual fruit it was just a syrup which was a bust especially because I thought it be more fresh. However, I drank it and then told them my thoughts about it privately and they never reached back out. They had one male bartender that was playing with a basketball and being a little messy which was weird. We really wanted to love this place and maybe we went on the wrong day but it was like a wild zoo. We love kids but they were all over the place and without the parents being next to them so the adult games they have for you to play with were everywhere. According to our server they had already broken a few of them that weekend. So again if you have kids this may be THE spot for you but if you just want to go on a date or to meet others without kids I would probably rethink that. read more

I went to The Yardery last week with a friend. We both loved the ambiance and twinkle lights after sunset making it feel like we were relaxing in someone's backyard. I had the Yardberry Mojito to drink - super refreshing, flavorful without being too sweet, and delicious! Choosing dinner was hard for both of us - so many delicious sounding options on the soft opening menu - can't wait to see what other things are added in the future! I went with the smoked brisket flatbread and the flavors were on point! The meat was great, sauces complimented, and it was fresh! The handcut fries I ordered were perfect ad well. Definitely a must go-to place if you live in Sanford! We need more places like this and I can totally see the need for expansion as the weather gets nicer. It's all outdoors, everything is turf, and they have lots of fun yard games for the kids (or you!) My husband had the ribs, which he said were really good but he wished were a little more tender. Also, they serve plastic utensils and he definitely needed a stronger knife to cut them. The potato salad was delicious too-- "mustardy and dill" in his words. The wings were phenomenal. I had the Cobb salad which was just so so. On the smaller side and not a ton of ingredients, but it served its purpose. Drinks were great. Service was great. Food came out quickly. No complaints. Went to Yardery for breakfast this morning. We heard many positive things about their bagels (Montreal style). We felt going in the morning would be easier with the crowds. Could not have made a better decision. We ordered two plain bagels, sesame, coffee and a Bloody Mary. Their bagels were good, different style compared to NY bagels. Montreal bagels have more of a crisp of a taste. We will be back for their everything bagel is what we heard is their best one. Bloody Mary's were excellent. They use Ole Bay. Spicy flavor. Tasty and flavorful They go above and beyond with their customer service. Suzanne and Bernie are over the top with their customer service to make sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable.
