Great outdoor spot for a small group. Visited on a very slow Wednesday and we were able to utilize all the amenities ( ping pong table, corn hole, tire swing and giant connect 4). Passed on ordering food, the prices are quite steep and there are plenty of other reasonable restaurants in the Downtown Sanford area. But the weekend brunch menu definitely enticed me - will have to check that out. We ordered some drinks and enjoyed the activities but left after a while because the MUSIC is atrocious. I get it, you like niche underground punk rock. Hint: not everyone can tolerate that type of music. Just some feedback: play some music that the general population has heard of. Made it this weekend for their soft opening. We were greeted by one of the waiters who was very nice and informative. She gave us great information about all the beers they had on tap. I opted for the mango beer which was smooth and delicious! Great for someone who's not that into beers. They also have a selection of cocktails. They will be offering full open bar eventually. We were a large group that booked in advance - we had a semi-private area and wait staff dedicated to us. Todd was amazing and Claudia was there to provide back up, run food and refill drinks. Everyone enjoyed the cocktails and the food. We all nibbled from each other and I can say that the beer cheese and the pretzel was my favorite hands down. Followed by the chicken cesar wrap with sweet potato wedges (they were our of tots but I am so glad they were!) the fried shrimp flew off the plate so i didn't get a chance to try them - but my table mates were impressed. Okay so this place is awesome! We went on a Sunday around 2 and it wasn't too crowded. I went with my boyfriend and our two sons. I loved the outdoor seating and all of the games they have available to play while you wait for your food or have a few drinks. I definitely recommend the crab cakes and the crispy shrimp. They were amazingggg! We also had the yardery burger which was delicious as well. It's a great place to take the family for lunch or to have a few drinks with friends. The food is good southern food, love the crispy shrimp app. Environment is awesome, fun for kids to run and play. All outdoors. Staff is friendly, although slow every time I've been so don't go if you're in a rush. Giving 3* because the flies ruined our experience. Disappointed in our last experience here. Came for brunch and ordered the breakfast flatbread which typically is amazing...but very disappointed when it came and was made with regular bacon when advertised as their candied bacon (which was thick cut and awesome, this was thin, flimsy, regular bacon HUGE difference) . The candied bacon made this dish, I feel misled and would have ordered something else and told the server so. it's like ordering a craft beer and getting a budweiser. At the very least if they changed how they make it, change the menu or inform the server to let people know when its ordered. I dont blame the server at all on this btw... I will NOT order this again unless it goes back to how good it was and how it was made and supposed to be made and advertised to be made. This concept is so neat, I just wish it wasn't the new "family" hang out. Some friends and I went a few weeks ago, there were SO many kids there that it borderline felt like a park, not a bar. The poor staff kept having to intervene kids climbing the trees, not properly using the tire swing, climbing on the yard games, inappropriately throwing cornhole bags, etc. I feel for this staff, I would pull my hair out. Aside from the abundance of poorly supervised children, the menu was okay. They have some cocktails and beers, I did not try any food. I ordered a drink which had a hair in it, got a new drink and it was the wrong drink. I decided not to try for a third time and just drank the incorrect drink. Service was somewhat inattentive, it's probably becuase they were too busy watching other peoples kids, lol. I'm not sure that I'd return to The Yardery. Megan was our bar tender and she was super sweet, her mixology was great as well, a little light on the alcohol pours but her mixology skills are def there. Noticed a few things behind the bar with the beer tap, it seems to be possibly out of order or not properly functioning as there is a bucket under the tap with a hose to collect the excess, in the cabinet . The taps were also frothy/foamy and there were a lot of folks ordering tap. We ordered the chicken wings double crispy and they were tasty. The atmosphere is very family friendly, the music genere was rock hits. Great ambiance all the way around, really cool spot with a neat concept. read more

Really liked this place on my visit to Sanford. Chill, outdoor spot with good vibes. Almost like a little park. Only drawback (for me) was that, due to the fun outdoor activities, it was packed with little kids. It's a perfect spot for the kids to play while mamas sit back and have and afternoon drink (or two)! It's the perfect "backyard hangout" with games set up all around the yard. Here you will find corn hole, Jenna, ladder ball, a tire swing and more. It's a great place to come with the family and friends, chill out and enjoy! I ordered the Yardery Mule, it was delicious however the second one I ordered had mint leaves in it and although it was a small mistake, i drank it anyway and didn't particularly like the mint mixed in with it. I really liked this place. The outside and super cute it has fake grass and feels like your walking up to someone's backyard bbq. There is even a tire swing on a tree which I was too afraid to sit on lol. We sat at a little table and immediately our waitress greeted us. We went here when it first opened up they have only been open for two weeks I think. Our waitress told us she doesn't even work there she was just helping out. I loved that! Food took a long time and came out not all together, and when we did receive it everything was over cooked. Wings were so dry and burnt, sons chicken fingers...the same. Ordered a Caesar salad and the lettuce was brown. It really put a damper on our visit. It was a $150 lunch and it was so disappointing. It looks like it would be a great concept, and I'm sure they had some issues going on. We were offered a 15% discount, but no manager visit, only an apology from the server. The idea of a yard for kids, dogs, adults to play in is great but cannot say that about the food and service. I sat there for quite awhile before I was even noticed, and yes I was seated by staff to begin with. They were not slammed with folks so no excuse there. I ordered fish tacos and if I may be blunt here, avoid ordering these at all costs. Looks like the burger would have been a better choice, everyone seemed to be enjoying theirs. Pricey for poor quality. The fish was not fully cooked, I ordered blackened and just putting a little bit of seasoning on the fish does not make them blackened. They arrived swimming in a little bit of maybe it was slaw but a lot of very runny sauce. I had to let it all drip off before I could eat them. Behind the bars along Sanford ave is a little backyard gathering spot that is truly brand new. There is space and seating, the mojitos were flowing and although they are just getting started all of our party was able to pretty easily get drinks and food.
