The pizza sizes are HUGE! I really liked the red sauce. It had great flavor and was a little sweet. The pesto sauce was, however, overwhelming. They close next week so they were out of the white sauce that I really wanted to try. Dough is good. It is thin and crispy-ish on the bottom but the sides are more doughy. I absolutely love this place. Their food is always super solid and affordable. The Cuban is amazing. Bread is fresh and delicious. Their breakfast sandwiches are to die for.. and it's nice that they have a great selection of single can adult beverages too! The staff is friendly. Their coffee and chai latte also fantastic. Their grocery items are a little pricey, but it's a small market right on the beach so that is to be expected. We will gladly keep coming back to support them!!! :) read more

Great little grocery and restaurant in York. Very nice place with all the food and snacks you need for your beach vacation. Stopped in for some breakfast sandwiches which were great. A convenient one-stop shop for all your needs! The York Beach Bucket is the only place where you can find snacks, beach items/other personal necessities, and fresh food all under one roof!! It was right next door to our motel, too! They're open until 10PM every day (11PM on Fridays and Saturdays). When you walk in, the space is very welcoming. You'll walk past a counter for baked goods and coffee (cold brew, anyone?) and a counter for hot foods such as pizza! We had pizza right before they were closing. They were HUGE slices and tasted so good! :- ) There's an outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy your food with the beach just a street away. read more

We had a very pleasant experience because the cashier was above and beyond my expectation. She was warm and friendly, and offered my son and I a free sample of gelato. I think they provide a lot of snack options such as chips and cereal. It would be nice if they offered fresh fruit. Super convenient location wise and also great selection of beverages. The customer service and wait time for any food items you order is consistently terrible. Totally understanding that it is hard to find and keep good employees, it doesn't matter how many people are in line or are working, know that you will wait an inordinate amount of time no matter what and you may have to remind them to make it and just finally ask for your money back. read more

We love York, but for a late night eat its hard to find a place. Luckily the York Beach Bucket is open fairly late. After a full day of travel, we were starving and decided to stop here. Its a little on the expensive side for the food quality that is offered. But it is a great little one-stop-shop. I ordered a quesadilla and it felt like it was recently defrosted chicken. There was water leaking out of the quesadilla. My sister ordered the BBQ pulled pork and it was very dry as if it had been microwaved too long. The gelato, on the other hand, was delicious and definitely worth a try although we'd suggest staying away from the Black Cherry and chips flavor. Brand new for '17. Completely renovated space (thank God). In the former deli that was dark, dirty & gloomy is now a sunny new business. Pizza is highly subjective but I really like theirs. The crust has a crisp to it and I love that. Breakfast sandwiches are hot and tasty. Had the ham, egg on a croissant. Delicious. These guys are trying new things and aren't afraid to blaze a path. It make take them a while to get into a rhythm but this is exactly what the beach needed - a great grab n go. Great people & great attitude. read more

Stopped in for pizza for the kids and some burgers after a long day of travel. We ordered two fountain drinks for myself and my husband. The soda was completely flat. I approached the counter staff for help, maybe thinking the CO2 cartridge was in need of replacement, but instead of simply offering two canned sodas, one of the women at the counter grabbed a plastic cup and proceeded to sample each of the fountain soda flavors and inform me they were not flat. Seriously?!? I mean, maybe she just likes flat soda? Or maybe she was perturbed I interrupted her conversation with someone that appeared hired solely to give customers side eye. Anyway, I was astounded that someone would go to that length instead of offering a customer a can of soda for $0.20 more. I've stopped at this place many times during prior beach trips, never again. Giving two stars instead of one because eventually another counter staff, Kyle, stepped up and gave us replacement beverages. Nice save, Kyle. read more

This place looks awesome but the service is awful and the pizza was worse. That is unless you want overpriced soggy, salty pizza slices served in a flimsy slice container that can't hold the pizza. I asked for plastic ware and napkins and the young lady behind the counter seemed bothered that I interrupted her while she was eating pizza. She replied that they were too busy to refill the container and proceeded to give me 2 paper towels from the food prep sink area and only one fork for two people. The one star reflects the one bright spot in this place. The young man who was preparing sandwiches and some of the other food deserves some positive recognition. He was pleasant, professional and responsive to several customer requests including mine. He even took time to engage in small talk sharing that he was from Mexico and commented on how beautiful my country was. Unfortunately, he was the only bright spot in an overall bad experience with service and food. I will not return and caution you to stay away! read more

This place is absolutely amazing! My family and I just went to York on vacation as we have for many years and discovered this gem! Not only did we find everything we needed, but the staff was overly accommodating. The owner, Tate came through with every request I had from a good local IPA to diapers for my youngest. OMG. What a missed opportunity to have good food so folks would come back. Fruit was soggy and brown around the edges. The pizza was barley average. Tons of cheese on a soggy crust. Bland sauce. They would never have customers in a city/town. The sandwich was ok. Now for the price of a soggy under cooked non eventful pizza, $21.60 (large). The kids did not even want another piece and we bought two. We so hoped this place would be Better than the last. Wrong. Do not waste ur money. Not good. The two stars are for the friendly folks who work there. Very, very, disappointed I. The pre made pizza crust, brown fruit, and made ahead sandwich. Oh the watermelon was good.
