The food and drinks are good enough but not worth the service. I've been multiple times and each time the staff is very rude and snobby. The hostesses just stare at you when you walk up, no greeting at all. Our server was clearly annoyed at us for taking our time and hanging out. My new favorite restaurant in Syracuse. There always seems to be a crowd at the bar, partly because they make excellent cocktails (I'm partial to the Maiden America and the Paloma). The decor is dark and trendy, the clientele seems to be younger than most other comparable restaurants. I would recommend the bone marrow appetizer. The oysters were quite good as well. The bourbon-stout braised short ribs, black cod and pork chop were all solid choices as mains. The Smores skillet is the dessert to get. A cast iron skillet with a bottom layer of melted dark chocolate covered by a layer of bruleed marshmallows with graham crackers on the side to scoop it out with. Simple but divine. The wine list is short but well selected. Interestingly when I tried to order a second bottle of a wine from the select list (a Gigondas that we enjoyed quite a bit) they told me they only 1 bottle each from the select wine list so we'd have to order a different bottle. FYI they only take reservations for parties of 6 or more. And they serve house-made pickles instead of bread for the table. Not much for vegetarians but you can order the gemelli without the sausage. The remodel looks fantastic! My husband and I sat at the bar, the bartender was an attractive woman wearing almost no clothes. That would not have bothered me if she knew how to make a drink. My husband ordered a martini and I ordered a gimlet. The other bartender had to show her how to make the martini, and he made my drink. The menu was unique, however, there are no vegetarian items, so I ordered a soup and an appetizer as my dinner. Unfortunately, my food came out well before my husbands. The fire roasted tomato soup was extremely bitter and I couldn't eat it. My husband has a $22 chicken breast. It was a small breast, overcooked, with nearly raw carrots and a few crispy potatoes. No salad, no bread. Our bill was $118.00 and I was still very hungry. The bartender had forgotten to take my soup off the check. I also noticed that there was a $2 up charge for ice cubes in my drink. That made my very small cocktail $13. read more

Food was pretty good: Not a large menu so vegetarian options are very limited. Pork - massive amount of food. My friend got it and loved it. He ordered the Doctor doctor from the specialty cocktail wh oh paired well with it. Cod - small portion of fish. Way too much sauce on it. It overpowered the fish. It was cooked perfectly though; it practically melted in my mouth. Special seafood bouillabaisse - my boyfriend ordered this and said the calamari was really chewy, but everything else was cooked well. He said the flavor of my dish (the cod) better than his and wish he had ordered mine. He also eats a lot so it wasn't very filling for him. Cheeseboard - delicious assortment of local cheeses and the raw honeycomb was phenomenal. Filthy martinis was not cold. Kind of a bummer, but flavor was good. Cost: $165 for three people (three cocktails, one bottle of wine at $30, three entrees and a shared cheeseboard for the app). Total spent including tip $200. Ambiance: Beautifully decorated and dim lighting makes this very cozy. The comfortably leather couch for guests waiting to be seated was perfection. Service was good (thanks Sage) Hostess was friendly and communicated well. However, you walk in there is no host stand so it's a bit confusing for first timers. If you walk straight back you'll notice it's at the end of the bar in the middle of the room. We stood there for three minutes or so with guests and service staff glancing at us just waiting for us to figure it out. Maybe something the staff should mention over the phone when guests are making reservations. That or service staff should help guests of they notice they're confused instead of waiting for them to figure it out. I also think there should've been maybe one more server. The service was slow but to no fault of the servers, they were working their butts off. Friendly staff and friendly owner. The food was great. Pasta was simple but tasty. Ambiance: A little dark and the music is pretty loud. Definitely gives off a New York City vibe which is excellent. Menu needs more options for vegetarians. Waiter told me that lobster tails weren't available but claws were. Will be back for some tails soon. When the York first opened, the spouse and I went there, and I was drop-dead impressed. Some of the finest food and service I've ever had in Syracuse (I wrote a review over on Trip Advisor, singing their praises). We've been back every few months since then, and given our first meal, I kept saying, "No... this last time was a fluke. We'll go back. It will be better." Nope. I finally have to write this. The honey and I arrived on a recent Thursday for happy hour, for some oysters, a Dirty Martini for me and a glass of vino for the missus. We planned on having dinner as well, but after what happened, we decided to walk down a few blocks some place else. First: Yes, there was a nice hoppin' crowd for happy hour. We took a seat, and I went to the bar to order. A pretty blond bar tender, thoroughly engaged in conversation with her work colleagues finally saw me.. after I literally waved my arms over my head. For 10 seconds. That's actually a long time. "Oh, hey there. I didn't see you. What can I get cha?" (I refrained from being snarky. My thoughts were, "You didn't see me because you're to busy in conversation with your work-besties." ... sigh... kids. I'm also not a big fan of "cha" instead of "you." That's acceptable at Dennys, but not here.) I ordered our oysters and drinks. She didn't write it down, but since everyone at the bar was busy with their food and drinks, not catching her attention, I thought nothing of it. The drinks arrived, and she said, "Oh, you know we have dollar oysters for happy hour..." Then, it seemed to dawn on her, and she smiled as she said, "Ha! But you know that! You ordered a dozen!" Ha, indeed. Taking the drinks back to our table, the honey and I talked for a while... then I noticed 20 minutes had gone by. A man who had walked in after us was getting a plate of oysters brought to his table. What happend to our oysters? In trying to flag down the bar tender, I had to again wave my arms above my head to get her attention. This time she was deep in conversation, with the other bartender, at the opposite end of the bar... what the h*ll is sooooo interesting that one is willing to forgo good tips? Talking about Twitter? Restaurant gossip? Debating global economics? Personally, I don't care WHAT you talk about on your own time.... but this is MY TIME. I. AM. PAYING. FOR. THIS. She came over with a smile on her face. "What cha need?" I said "Where are the oysters I ordered?" The music and the talking at the bar was so loud, she said "Huh?" twice. I finally yelled "I ORDERED A DOZEN OYSTERS."... Just as the music stopped. It sounded as though I was yelling at her. the look on her face said she remembered me ordering, then telling me should order the oysters, then catching herself. The oysters came pretty quick after that. The bartender wasn't apologetic though. In fact, she went right back to her conversation with co-workers. Oddly though, she didn't charge me for the martini. (Hey, management-- you might want to note that. My friends and family are in the restaurant business. If I knew that top-shelf Martinis were just being given away, I'd have a fit.) I doubt it was a "Mea Culpa" for the oysters. That young woman really, REALLY didn't care WHAT was going on with her customers. But she cared very much about her conversations with staff. My advice to her: Sweetie... Youth fades. Looks fade. You better straighten up your priorities or find some other line of work. Stop talking to your pals, and start keeping your focus on the folks that tip you. I left a 5% tip. I've only done that one other time in my entire life. I always give at least 20% because I realize that the hourly pay is tiny, and folks rely on tips...but this is only the second time in my life I was so horrified by lack-of-give-a-cr*p on the part of a bartender where it was warranted. Had a very nice dinner here. On a Friday night we walked in off the street and were able to get a table outside just as we wanted. The outdoor seating doesn't really have ambiance since it's just a street but it's very New York. Our waitress was friendly, helpful and fast. We shared the poke and the Chili Lobster Wings which were tasty but kind of hard/messy to eat. I'd say they need to come out of their shells before they come to the table. For our main I had the pork chop with rice and beans. The pork chop was more like a pork roast, the serving size was humongous. We had more than enough leftover for lunch the next day. My husband had the Seafood Parpardelle which he really enjoyed. No room for dessert but did have a very nice glass of wine. I highly recommend this restaurant. Came here last night for a belated birthday dinner. It was very good with a few minor hiccups, nothing to keep me from coming back (when my wallet recovers). The positives - BONE MARROW. This needs to be a bigger deal in Syracuse, we don't get nice things very often and this is very very nice! I've never had the dish before and let me tell you it's an experience. I had the salmon, and it was so good with the sauce coating the rice, but hear this York managers and cooks, MORE GREENS! The greens on this were amazing, but there was like two bites. I would have gladly traded less rice for more greens (I think it was kale but not sure). My girlfriend got the Prime Strip Fillet, which I had to have some of. She gets her steaks cooked medium well and it was perfect (for a medium well piece of meat). Great little crust, and the potatoes were amazing too. Overall we had a great food AND service experience, our server was great! The meh - I don't want to say these things were bad, but I just wish they would be addressed. ONE: I'm certainly not "old" by any sense of the imagination, but damn guys you might as well bring your night vision goggles because this place is DARK. I felt so dumb because I had to hold the menu right up to my face to be able to see anything written on it. TWO: As a couple other people have mentioned, the tables on the elevated section are a little tight together. A small group was seated right next to us (for what reason I'm not sure, the whole section was empty) and they asked to move because one of the gentlemen felt bad his back was pushing right up against our table. We went to The York with several friends last night to try their Dining Week menu. Our expectations were high, but The York delivered. If you've ever walked by, you know how beautiful this place is. The ambiance is upscale and classy, but not intimating. Very warm, comfortable, and intimate actually. I dressed up a little, thinking I would need to, but several people were casually dressed and fit right in. The Dining Week menu has more options than most other restaurants, and everything is very tempting. I started with an Old Fashioned, which was good, but it paled in comparison to the Go Figure, a house drink that my friend ordered and that I had the good fortune to try. Highly recommended. For the first course, I had the roasted bone marrow, which everyone raves about -- and rightly so. It is unctuous, decadent, and savory. Its beefy, bleu-cheesy goodness slathered over some crusty bread is to-die-for. Thankfully, they give you a small portion of lightly dressed greens on the side, which gives your palate the relief of freshness it will need. For the second course, I had the pork chop, which is brined in cider, wrapped in country ham, and cooked to juicy perfection. Its glaze is sticky and sweet, which counteracts the saltiness of the ham beautifully. It also comes topped with collard greens, which are good, and a serving of sweet potato hash underneath, which almost rivaled the pork chop in deliciousness. For the final course, I had the cereal milk creme brule. Like all creme brules, the crunchy burnt sugar on top paired perfectly with the thick creaminess underneath. I'd order it again, but my wife had the tiramisu, which I tried, and it was even better. Our server was nice but somewhat forgetful. I think he had a lot of tables and was busy, though. Overall, it was great meal and a great experience, and I highly recommend The York. I'll definitely be back. read more

My wife and I were staying in downtown Syracuse and wanted to experience some fine dining on a Sunday evening. Many restaurants were closed, but the York was open and we decided to give it a try. Atmosphere was great and the restaurant was mostly full. We had a 7:15pm reservation and were seated on time. Waiter greeted us and proceeded to give us the menus, complimentary spiced pickles and water...and said he would be back. But that was the last time we spoke. A table of six were seated next to us approximately 5 minutes after we sat down. Our waiter tended to them and ignored us. The waiter then proceeded to help out other tables, that had arrived before us, which makes sense, but rushed past us, avoiding any contact that he would be back to us shortly. After almost 25 minutes of being ignored, we decided to leave. Told the hostess the situation and she said she was sorry but did not make an attempt to fix the problem. This unfortunate experience could be chalked up to a waiter who was overwhelmed and simply forgot us. But it was one of the most bizarre and surreal restaurant experiences in our lives. We almost thought we were getting "punked" or on "candid camera"! The complimentary pickles were very unique. The tap water was fine. But unfortunately that was the only food and drink that we tasted! read more

I went there last Wednesday due to an urgent craving for oysters. Personally, I thought the location of the host stand was a bit out of the way since it was at the back of the restaurant and I had to navigate my way through the crowd at the bar to get there. I was seated at one of the end booth tables on the raised platform. The seating arrangements was a bit tight and I had to squeeze my way past one table to get out. Anyway! To the food. I actually didn't get any entrees at the York but I sampled their lobster bisque (a great change from the tomato soup I'm sure), a dozen oysters, the bone marrow appetizer, and a signature cocktail. The lobster bisque was good, it had good flavor and chunks of lobster meat at the bottom. The oysters were great as well. I got a mix batch of three different oysters and they served it on a platter of ice accompanied by a herbal mignonette, a strangely sweet cocktail sauce, and something else.. I'm not sure what it is. I personally like to squeeze a spritz of lemon juice on my oysters but they didn't provide any. When I asked for some, the waiter gave me three or four wedges, three of which were a bit dried up and weird looking. But I managed. The bone marrow appetizer was to die for! Oh my god, I can't begin to tell you how succulent it was. The combination of bread, spreadable bone marrow, and a slightly zesty chutney was perfect. I was very sad when I finished that dish. But I must warn you if you're not that big on fat, don't get this. In addition to the appetizers, I also got the Mickey Finn. Honestly, it reminded me of cough syrup. With the oysters, the two appetizers, a drink, and a sandwich my boyfriend got (it's meat and cheese and it was good, he says) the bill was around $100 minus tips. Overall, The York was good but it's definitely for occasions where I want to splurge or when I have a desperate craving for the raw bar. read more

I've been to the York twice: once for happy hour and once for dinner. I was very happy both times. The oyster happy hour was what got me in the door, as it's hard for me to pass up the opportunity to have $1 oysters. They were fresh and came with all the accompaniments that you need. Their cocktail menu is extensive and I love their tribute to one of my favorite bourbons- Basil Hayden's. I had some naan flatbreads to help soak up some of those cocktails and they were tasty. When I went for dinner I had the bone marrow to start and the burger. I would go back for the bone marrow alone. The combination with the stilton cheese, onion jam, and cran-apple jam was fun, creative and full of flavor. The burger was satisfying and came with a big portion of fries. I've heard that when they open their outdoor space in the spring, they will be dog friendly. I'm looking forward to it! read more

We gave our name and number and then got a text it would be a 45 minute wait. We waited over and hour and a half and and never got a text. We stood outside and the staff that took our number walked by us multiple times and would not acknowledge us. Super rude and glad we didn't give this business our money. Let me just start this off by saying the food is ok and the drinks are ok too. I really come to this place for the "buck a shuck" $1 oysters during happy hour. I've tried to give this place a chance which is why I waited to do my review but here it is....So my first visit here I made a reservation for 4 people. I asked for us to be seated on the back patio, when the host seated us there was only 1 other party out back and they were at a table for 2. The host seated us at a table sitting on a hill and it was next to a poop bag box where residents of the apartments above could dispose of their dog's poop bags. Flies were buzzing around us, the table was tilting, and our seats had no backs. I asked the host if he could move us to one of the other open tables and he said no. So fast forward to our server (he was great by the way) we explained our issues with our current table and without hesitation and with a smile he moved us to another table. Not sure why the host told us no, that kind of rubbed me the wrong way but I still went into this with an open mind. The rest of our night went just fine so no more complaints. I went a 2nd time and had a great evening so I thought it might've just been an off day for the host. Well my 3rd and last visit to The York was quite embarrassing for me. I didn't have a reservation so I called ahead. I was told they were fully booked but I could walk by and see if they had available seating on the patio because those were "first come first serve". So my friend and I headed downtown and to my surprise there were about 4 open tables! So we sat at a table for 2 (since it was just us 2). We were seated for about 15 minutes before the server came over and said she would start us off with water and some pickles. About 5 minutes later one of the hostess' came and asked us if we had a reservation. I explained how we called and what I was told. She said she would try to work something out and disappeared. About 5 minutes after that a different hostess came over and said because the restaurant was fully booked we had to leave because they needed our table. I explained to her what I was told over the phone but she said "unfortunately because the inside is fully booked, they needed the patio to seat people". I don't want to play the race card here but there were plenty of other open tables and why would you change your policy after I called an hour prior. I'd hate to say it but I think they weren't expecting 2 black girls to show up and they used that to embarrass us in front of the other customers. I felt humiliated to have to get up and leave. Just a friendly tip: if you have a policy, you should stick to it. I won't be visiting this place again nor will I recommend it. read more

I review the food below, but what really put them in the "not going to return category" was two events. Event-1 was a large picture frame falling directly onto the table next to us, thank god nobody was hurt and the glass did not shatter, but the restaurant did nothing for them. No sorry, no free drinks, nothing. Event-2, they charge $2 for ice! I ordered a vodka on the rocks as my first drink and later the bill has $8.50 for Kettle-1 and $2 for rocks. Are you freaking kidding me, just charge me $10.50 if you want but don't charge me for ice as a line item. At least the ice on my bed of Oysters was built into the price. Tried the York 3 times now, first 2 times were within 2 months of them opening and this last time was last Friday (4/8/2016). We did not love the food last year, but chalked it up to growing pains and decided to give it another try last Friday. The food was still marginal at best but the price vs. food quality is way off. I had the oysters (best part of the meal), a special shrimp PHO soup appetizer (cardboard noodles) and way too salty, and the duck sloppy joes which were drenched in sauce but had almost no duck flavor. My wife had the beet salad which was fine but nothing special and the veal stew. Her entrée was the worst, almost zero flavor and completely bland. We each had two drinks and the meal was $120. Which is not crazy expensive, but for the same price Lemongrass or Pasta's is way better quality of food right around the corner. Those two restaurants also had long waits on a Friday evening and The York did not, what does that tell you? There are a lot better places to spend your money. I brought a group of give people here - one visitor and four in town people - for a work-related dinner. The overall experience was disappointing. The dining area is very limited - most of the place is devoted to "lounge style" seating. The banquette we were seated at - was odd - it was surrounded on two sides by a iron railing - so everyone had to exit or enter the space from one side. This made the service awkward to say the least. The room is pretty - but noisy - don't bring anyone here with a hearing problem. They will not survive. The wine list is small and just okay - the appetizers were fine and some even interesting - the oysters (actually oyster - there was only one type) were fine. Wellfleet - very sweat and briny - the Charcuterie was very good and large - the five of us sampled from it and there was still leftover. The haus gemacht pate was very very nice. The cumin cured tuna was also lovely. And the bone marrow was very nice. This is way the place is getting two stars. The entrees were poor. The rabbit ragu which I had was sour tasting and plain awful. The pasta was bland, and overcooked, and the whole dish was served nearly cold. Two others had the steak frites - I was told the potatoes were very nicely done. The cod got a good review. Bottom line - skip most of the second - stay with the firsts and perhaps a burger and think of the place as fancy bar. The service was perfunctory. The website says "The York is a Syracuse incarnation of a New York City-style restaurant and lounge experience." I am a native NY city boy - spent over 40 years there and more than 20 elsewhere in other cities. The York does not measure up to NYC standards as a restaurant or a lounge. There are much better places to try in Armory square or downtown. It is very very unlikely I will be back and never with again with one of our seminar visitors. read more

For our 3rd wedding anniversary we wanted to go out and celebrate with a taste of home (NYC/NJ); we heard The York would probably be our type of scene but we had never heard of it before and decided to give it a try! We first looked online at the menu which hadn't been updated- it's phone number seems to be disconnected. Yelp reviews weren't as recent as we had hoped but luckily FB showed activity there so we were glad to find out they still existed! (You never know around this area with the frequent closings or great establishments) Anyway. We went on Wednesday evening at 6:00 ; left the baby with his aunt and we're ready for a nice evening! We found street parking for free and took a nice stroll past other quite busy establishments. We saw that there was outdoor seating but actually wasn't confident they were even open. Expecting the door to be locked we were gladly surprised they were open :) We walked in and immediately to the right was a raw bar and alcohol bar; with some lounge seating.. You had to walk further into the establishment to find the hostess. I thought this rather odd, and possibly off putting if it were a busy night i wouldn't know where to find the hostess stand. My husband and I walked up to the two ladies; one must have been training (but we weren't aware of it at the time) I was the one to greet them first..... "Hello! Can I get a table for 2?".... BLANK STARE... I then quickly thought oh crap did I not speak English? I repeated myself and was met with the same stare... Hostess #2 then just simply asked inside or out- in which we decided inside; but for a minute I thought I was transferred into the twilight zone. We were guided into a corner table where the first hostess handed us our menus and told us our waitress would be right with us. The ambience was quite dark and I ALMOST needed to pull out my phone for more lighting but I forced myself to get by... Who wants to be "that" person..? We studied the menus for a few minutes when our server came to take our drink orders and appetizers; she didn't particularly peak our interests with anything on or off the menu as she just waited for us to just reply. Sometimes servers offer recommendations on drinks or apps etc especially to people who have never been there before. My husband had the old fashioned which the server said would come in some sorta smoked thing but we could barely hear her... And I ordered The Chef cocktail. 1) the drinks are FANTASTIC 2) even better... The prices! - comparing it to NYC we were just ecstatic. We ordered the mussels and clams appetizer which was perfect as well as beet salad! I have the gamelli pasta and my husband had the seafood pasta (can't remember the name) both were great! The gemelli pasta with nutmeg cream was delicious! We also added a bottle of wine, $40 for a bottle of Bogle.. Eh- that's going to happen anywhere. So, after rereading this rambling I realized that either I'm just getting old or it maybe just a tad bit too dark in there, and the server may have been speaking normally but the parents dropping their kids off for college may have drowned her out a bit. I recommend the cocktails... I mean for $10 for a yummy fun cocktail!? Can't beat it. We look forward to going back; it's something different! NYC vibe with Syracuse prices. Win win. read more

Let's put it like this. None of the prices match the online menu. Tried to charge me for food I never ordered. There's no to go utensils. No BBQ sauce. No honey mustard. No extra dressing when u ask to pay for it. Up charge for using credit and they don't tell you when u can pay in cash. The food that I got wasn't bad, but I would like to say my my herb encrusted salmon tasted like salt, sesame covered shit. No wonder why you can't see the sign outside to find the place. read more

The York recently opened for lunch and I visited to celebrate a co-workers birthday. The atmosphere is very upscale, mellow and quiet; great for a business meeting. The raw bar wasn't open while we visited but the kitchen was more than accommodating, letting us know we were welcome to order oysters or clams. The menu selections are not vast during lunch, but are very well executed. In our party of four, we ordered two burgers, the lobster BLT and the house sandwich, all served with a side of house chips. The burgers were cooked perfectly and the sandwiches were huge. Food was served on wooden cutting boards, which the food safety person in me cringes at (sanitizing wood leaves a lot to be desired). Service was a touch spotty; we had to request side plates for our order of appetizers and when we ran low on water, we weren't offered another bottle, but that was most likely due to the server also acting as bartender and host. The atmosphere, as I said is mellow and quiet. It was a bit strange in the most charming way to have such a modern atmosphere with early 2000's hip-hop playing, but we all enjoyed it. Went here on a Friday night for some birthday celebrations. It was the first time since they were formally BC. The look has changed a bit (not to mention you enter through the door on the left now ;) lol) it is touch of industrial modern, overall very nice. You walk into the lounge area and the bar is to your right. Full bar with lots of great cocktails. We were sat for dinner and ordered their Seafood Plateau (as described: A tower of assorted items from the raw bar- not described, price tag of $75) but well worth it! The five of us devoured the oysters, crab, lobster and clams. The wine selection was good too- we ordered a bottle of Kim Crawford (always happy when that's on the menu and a bottle of Malbec.) For dinners a few ordered the Flat Iron Steak- it wasn't anything fancy- looked fancy, but your normal flat iron steak. Then one ordered the lobster roll special (it was a cold, and mayonnaise tossed- not what was expected, but still good) and the other the sandwich comprised of meats from daily charcuterie board. Overall decent meals. The menu is limited though- only 7 dinner entrees so I really hope that they will be changing the menu seasonally. We finished with dessert and after dinner cocktails. Green tea crème brule and the apple fritter, both were good desserts. Overall it was a nice evening. Service was spot on and food was good... I know I keep saying 'good' I wasn't blown away but then again there was nothing wrong with the food. I will definitely be back! read more

This has been my absolute favorite place to eat in Syracuse. The ambiance is upscale, but it's very comfortable. The decor seems as if an actually stylish hipster put it together. It has a good flow and comes together very well. While the ambiance was amazing, the food was even better. I was here with a group of 6 during Dining Week, and we all loved our meals. With the special menu, we were able to select 3 courses (out of 5 options) for $25. To start, I had the bone marrow which was packed with flavor and was complimented by the lightly dressed salad served with it. It was served inside the bone with crispy bread on the side. After putting some marrow on the piece of bread, you are in for a roller coaster of flavor. It's the perfect sweet spot for sweet, savory, salty, acidic and bitter. The blue cheese and finely parmesan really pushed it over the edge. It was single handedly my favorite part of the meal. I then had the cider brined pork-chop that was expertly wrapped in hand and cooked to a tender perfection. Literally, you could cut this with a butter knife it was so well cooked. Pork tends to tighten with over cooking and is mushy when undercooked. This was a perfect cook. The flavor rivaled that of the bone marrow, and it being served over a bed of veggies was a nice addition for color and texture. I ended with the cereal milk creme brûlée. It was garnished with fruity pebbles and the top was perfectly browned. It was delicious, but not the best part of the meal. It was small, but was perfect for a three course meal. I also had the Go Figure which is a specialty drink that is made with fig vodka, earl grey tea and tangerine. My goodness, was it amazing. 10/10 would order again. Not just another pretty face! I've stopped in this place for drinks a couple of times, not even realizing they had much food- only apps or whatever. It's one of those hip type of spots where the waiters are really skinny and it feels very urban/big-city type of locale. Well I finally sat down and had food with a group of friends and I was pleasantly surprised! We shared various appetizers, entrees and desserts & literally everything was really good! I thought bc of the type of spot, the food would be just so-so at best, but I was wrong. The menu items were creative, well prepared and very tasty. I will actually go back to eat here w my spouse. The waiter (manager? Owner? Who knows?) was very attentive to the table. Nice variety of cocktails & definitely worth a visit. Look nice though bc people there look like they are ready for a night on the town (no sweats people!). read more
