The only leg that has water station is the running portion so bring water for all other legs. The run and bike course is fairly flat. There are only 3 hills and one downhill on the run course. This is a race for any age and any athletic level. Since there are team options, it's really fun doing this with friends. Let's talk about the medal. This is what makes races worth it, right? The medal has been getting significantly smaller and smaller each year. The design has completely changed since the past 2 years and is just a simple white small medal. The medal was given BEFORE we completed the race and was in my race packet this year. The glory of the medal is not as significant anymore. I like receiving my medal as I cross the finish line. Shirts also got more plain and thinner material. For a race that can cost up to $400 for a team, I'm a little confused on why they cut costs on medals and shirts. I have always done a team triathlon but I'm planning to do ironwoman next year. This race may just passed but training begins already for next year!

I visited with friends and we had a great time!…read more We checked in on the digital kiosks and then selected balaclava colors before waiting for our turn. At first I was confused why the wait time was so long when the space seemed almost empty, but we learned quickly that the more runs you do the better deal you get, and racing can be pricey. We opted for two rounds since we were new to it and didn't know how long it would take if we did more. Our first race took some time to be called for (about an hour), but we had much less downtime before our second one. While you wait there is an arcade area and a bar. One thing we noticed is that the staff in areas other than the racetrack are much less engaging- I think they must be bored from the lack of people interacting with them or working on things in other places. The bar was frequently unmanned and we learned that they don't offer tap water, only bottled. We also learned that while some packages come with food, if you don't time it correctly you may have to leave the food at the tables to head down to your race. It might be best to wait until after racing to order any food. While we didn't get food during the visit, we found it odd that a bunch of sliders and other food were just sitting around in the bar area unattended, getting cold. There's gotta be a better system. The team on the racetrack was engaged and nice. They made sure everyone was set up, strapped in, and that the races were organized and safe. I was TERRIBLE, but did get better my second round. Our group ended up having a lot of fun. Some things to note- they do put groups together and fill the extra spots with other racers so your group will be together but you may have different people in each heat (depending on how many rounds they bought and when they arrived). Riding with other groups means you may get bumped into and have people of VERY different skill levels. We definitely had some regulars in our group. When someone spins out or needs help all the karts stop so it can really interrupt the race, but I guess that's part of the experience. Overall it's a lot of fun but there's some room for improvement in their non-racing areas.

I experienced the epitome of gender plus race discrimination in sports/driving today. Despite my…read morerace record, I was constantly told I was being slow and should move over for even kids behind me, even if my race record did not say so. Being told I was slow, being stalled to start last in a group of racers. Yes I flipped the "traffic police," but I fight back when I'm being stereotyped because they need to know SHAME! The manager was no help and kept saying they were just following rules, when I was clearly being singled out. Not even an apology. Don't take your girls here. This is where little girls sportswomen spirits get destroyed. FYI it's also my birthday today. I left the place in tears. But the manager seemed to think that was funny. He unconditionally supported his biased staff and made comments about me being slow without even knowing what happened, let alone offering to review what happened (I'm sure there are camera). I told the manager he didn't know how being stereotyped feels because he is a white male, and he proudly said "that is a stereotype." Boohoo, I guess that stereotype really hurts compared to what non-white-male people have to go through! What a great manager working in the customer service industry. He refuses any responsibility, offers no sympathy to people's experience of being discriminated and whines about his own being stereotyped experience to a minority woman. (I hope he feels proud of doing that for the rest of his life.) This is just the dose of discrimination boost I needed on my birthday. Anyways, this is the birthday experience you will have here. What can I say, women are told to "move over" for men even at K1 speed to go karting. Great job reinforcing that rotten value when women/girls just want to have fun! They deserve to wear my eternal flip like a scarlet letter on their forehead! SHAME ON YOU K1 SPEED!

This review is for when they toured the Suisun City area…read more Everyone knows that Carnivals are rips off, and as long as you know that, you can still have a pretty good time. Typical of every carnival I've been to, you have the vendors yelling at just about everyone that walks by to come in and try one of their rigged games. It's possible to actually win some of them, but the prices are set up so that the best deal is to just outright pay for the highest prize so you get a prize AND you get handed a bunch of arsenal to throw at whatever target your are aiming for. With that said, my bf and I just went ahead and paid for the prizes and just had fun throwing crap all over the place. We weren't even there for 10 minutes and we had already been commented on by at least 4 vendors about my bf's cool Cheech and Chong t-shirt and was even approached by one in an attempt to get weed hookups. I meant c'mon, what the hell. Not every one who loves Cheech and Chong is a stoner, and YOU'RE ON THE JOB, WHY ARE YOU ASKING US THESE THINGS ?!?!? I think they had some sort of impression that he was as suddenly after that encounter, half the staff there was watching us as we went through the carnival. Whatever ugh . Admission was free at least, and we didnt stay long after that encounter, but not before we had ourselves a deep fried snickers bar. Carnival food is always worth the visit.

This is a contracted agency who goes to skilled nursing facilities to "cut toe nails and stuff."…read moreI received a bill from this agency and there was no information as to who to contact other than the address on the bill and who to remit the payment to. I called to find out why I was receiving a bill and they stated, "for podiatry." Well, the bill states DPM, which indicates it is podiatry, but it does not state what, if any services was provided. When I called the company the receptionist did not take any of the information regarding patient, date of services, etc. but proffered that they work with social services at various nursing facilities and go visit patients and "cut toe nails and stuff." I don't know why a podiatrist would extend their services to providing pedicures. From what I have received, the business practices are rather suspect. When I probed for further information, they told me to talk to the business manager at the facility if I had problems with the bill. I stated that they never received approval for this and yet they stated they would notate that on the account. Unless they have a method of extracting data based on a phone call, there is no way they would know what or who the recipient of services is/was. I intend on contesting the bill. I researched information regarding this business and found that they are not accredited, there were no reviews or information posted anywhere to help me determine their legitimacy and the web address was no longer active. They may have another ISP or transferred to a new server but the information I found through a search engine did not have updated information. In my opinion, it may be one of those companies that buy third party information and hope that you will simply send a check, which is a good hustle but if they did not bill it on May 5th, which is a day most people know if they conducted business in a SNF, they would recall that their family member had a visit because most places have festivities for residents.
