The service was friendly and the food was even better. An affordable, filling breakfast - a hard find these days.

Good food, good family atmosphere. Can be a little pricey for what you get, but we still visit now and then.

Tina's is a good average restaurant with a menu typical for a diner. The service and food were good and the restaurant was clean.

It's a type of duplex with a restaurant on one side and a (smokey) bar on the other. The two establishments share a kitchen, staff, and an interior hallway. There is metered parking on the street. It is very inexpensive, but the meters are coin-operated only. Do be sure to take cash. I didn't realize this was a cash only place until we were already eating our ordered meals. When the bill came, I had just enough cash to cover the total, so I ended up using the ATM in the attached bar to get money for a tip -- it cost me $6 in fees! If I had known the establishment was cash only, we would have skipped the drinks and fries and had enough for a tip. (Looking back, I also could have not given any tip, driven to a bank or fee-free ATM to get cash, and driven back to deliver an even bigger tip for less than it cost to use the ATM there. Ugh.) But, you are reading this review, so you will know to go to your meal with coins for the parking meters, and some cash for your food and a tip! We visited on a quiet afternoon, and were pleased with our food and service. The fries could have used a bit more salt, but it's easier to add your own salt than to try to remove it. When we arrived, my son saw our table preset with coffee mugs, and requested his apple juice in a mug. Our server happily served it to him that way, and laughed with him as he pretended it was hot tea. The other server was helpful with the menu, and made sure we knew what our food would be. (We hadn't, so this was very appreciated!) The tables were also set with clever paper advertising place mats which had a word search for kids and adults. Overall, this was a nice place to eat, and I wouldn't mind returning.

Maybe it was good at some point or, maybe we had a really off day, but our experience was pretty subpar. Our server seemed like she had no idea what was going on and that she didn't want to be there that day. At one point, another server brought something over and my daughter asked "is our server new" and the other server said no, she had been there several years. So there was no excuse for not knowing answers to basic questions on menu items. None of our food was bad, but none of it was great, either. Everything was just OK. Not much flavor and pretty generic. Things like pancakes that you think couldn't get screwed up were boring and flavorless. Our last hope was the "famous" pies that our server told us about several times. When we asked about what flavors they had that day, she said she had to check (which seemed odd after telling us about them several times). Then she had to go back and check the flavors again because she forgot them. We did end up trying boston cream pie and dutch apple pie and they were both OK, but not anything that I couldn't find somewhere else. Overall, really disappointed in basically everything about our visit here.

Smicksburg is a quaint little town with charming country stores. We visited Our Twist of Country furniture store, where my husband found a recliner chair he fell in love with. The salesperson was very helpful in picking out the wood stain and fabric. Now, we're just waiting for six weeks to pick it up. For lunch, we went to the Country Junction restaurant. The service was fast, and the meal was very tasty. My husband had the roast beef and mashed potatoes. He mentioned the beef was a bit dry, but the gravy helped. I had the junction turkey, which was shredded turkey on a piece of stuffing bread - it was delicious, and I'm glad I got the gravy on the side. We were tempted to try the blueberry pie but decided against it when we learned it wasn't made in-house. The cream pies are made in-house, though. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the meal was. Make The Shop @ Greentree Lumber a must on your list of stops.
