Though I wasn't impressed with the tailoring I've gotten from them in the past, I thought that maybe I caught them on an off day due to their raving reviews. My most recent visit, they charged me $115 dollars to get one $40 dress and one $20 pair of jeans hemmed. They said the turnaround would take two weeks. I assumed that the high price I'm paying and the time I'm waiting would result in quality work. Instead, my clothing returned with wonky and messy stitching, like it was done by an amateur. The last time I got something tailored by them, they took in the armpit of my dress way too much, and now my armpit gets suffocated whenever I wear it. After this recent visit, I asked my coworker if I was going crazy. She said that she had a similar experience, where she simply wanted a hole in her shirt mended, and she was quoted $50. She was able to find another tailor to do it for $10. We theorized that this tailor is able to charge so much for their low-quality work due to the lack of competition in the area and their proximity to TCU.
