But they could never keep an OT aide at there West Covina office for very long. I think in the 2 years we were there he went through 3 OT aides. But there was always a billing issue with my insurance. And it always created a bigger issue. They would always charge me for the most recent session before the EOB was even cleared. At one point I had to keep track of my deductible and what they were charging. And in the end they had to reimburse me about 120 dollars for over charges. Then I noticed that I was getting EOB under my name for the services and not my son's name. And since I owed to much money they decided to put my sons services on hold. After that we did not go back to the clinic it was super frustrating.

There aren't many in the ST clinics in the area that services adults, and seems like DV would be a good fit, right? No. They never got back to me after I left a voicemail, filled out a new client inquiry, and emailed them on their website portal. I've even left a 1 star review on google to see if they would respond. Nothing. Still no response after several months. The lack of communication makes it difficult for caregivers to seek services for their loved ones who really need specific therapies to improve their QoL. This is ridiculous and a huge disservice for potential clients seeking help.

I've been on a waitlist for an afternoon appointment since June. No follow up. I've given up and just kept my regular schedule. 2. They have an automated text reminder. 3 times I received it and emailed them to confirm because the therapist told me she'd be out that day. Once I showed up and was told their new therapist doesn't start until a week later. Despite me getting the reminder from them. 3. I called for a day of the week change and was told they need to confirm the therapist availability and that they'll call me back once it's confirmed. I never got that call. 4. I had some problems with FSA where their receipts aren't accepted and they told me they would change my receipt from ST to say speech therapy. That never happened. Anything schedule related I just settled and work around the day he has. As far as FSA I go in have have them print me a detailed itemized receipt. Overall if you need something done and they can do it then and there, it'll be done quick. Phones and emails gets answered quickly. And you get a fast response. The problem is with their follow up and follow through. Interesting for a place that teaches speech has poor communication themselves.

I am happy to see the cleanliness of this place. While walking in the lobby, you'll encounter a front desk reception area where you sign in. The receptionist and the security in the evening were both very nice when greeting you. You'll sign in their log in clip board, and then you'll get a visitor's stickers before going inside. The hallways are bright and we'll lit. Lots of nursing staff members working. And everything seems orderly. I'm not sure about the doctors working, I didn't see any around, nor did I had a chance to meet any docs, but I assume they come around during the day. Regardless of the lower ratings here, I'm not sure why, but everyone seemed professional and we're doing what they needed to do... cater to the patients. Unfortunately, my experience here was short lived as a visitor. My aunt passed away a couple of weeks after getting admitted here. I honestly hope it's not true from the other people's reviews here, about their loved ones leaving this world after getting admitted to this facility. Is the cleanliness and the nice staff members at the facility a big facade? I hope not. But a nurse did mention to me about my aunt being in that condition and is suffering... blah blah... that she's better leaving the world so she won't be suffering anymore. I partly agree, but it's all about God's timing. She shouldn't be saying that in the first place to anybody, especially family. It's too uncomfortable for some people to hear even though the facts are there. Anyhow, back to the facility. The parking situation is horrible. You will have to park all the way in the back parking lot. The parking spots right behind the building is for the handicap, and part of that lot is also used for storing old beds. On the other hand, the front parking lot at the entrance is for doctors only and the handicap. They should just use the rear of the building as their main entrance instead of making visitors walk all the way to the front. I'm not sure I know how to rate this place. Cleanliness is four stars, staff is four stars, but the comments made by a nurse is unacceptable, so three stars, and the parking situation is a definite one star. So overall experience and still being nice, I'll give them a weak 3.1 stars. Imo, please do your research for any of these nursing hospitals before admitting a loved one.
