I received a voice message that my daughter is being dropped because billing thinks my daughter has another insurance. First of all, my daughter was authorized for 2 sessions per week from her insurance. Second, this should have been verified before starting the sessions. Thirdly, check the paperwork I submitted or call and discuss it with me to clarify misinformation. She only has one insurance who authorized the sessions. Of course I left a voicemail requesting a callback. I hope they are courteous and professional to return my call.

I really didn't want to be forced to switch providers. DO NOT go to this provider if your insurance is out of network! We are very sad that we have to terminate services with our OT, Jessica, over issues with management and billing. This provider is out of network for us so our insurance is billed by the provider and the insurance sends us checks to turn over to the provider. All other out of network providers take the checks from us and that's that...very simple process. Wonderkind refuses and wants us to scan each individual check and EOB which is a long tedious process. When we first started getting checks, I would bring them to the front office. The front desk would be like "oh don't pay now or give them to us now, we may have to invoice you for each one." It took them MONTHS to get this process straight. I had to bug them to try to make payments! Fast forward a few months later, I'm now being harassed for payments because "we cant pay our therapists." That's not my problem when your billing department FAILED to collect proper payments for MONTHS! I've sent over all the insurance checks I have and I'm being harassed with repeated square invoices for thousands because "according to the insurance these payments have been remitted." I've repeated to them that I don't have the checks! My suspicion is that they take forever to actually bill the insurance, the insurance takes their time to cut the checks and Wonderkind is harassing me so that I just pay everything up front. I am a mom of TWO special needs children. I don't have the time or space to continuously bug my insurance for checks. How long they take to pay is out of my control. I chose this provider because of the great reviews and they were nearby- I was willing to pay a little more for the convenience. It's all blown up in my face and I wouldn't recommend this facility to anybody- which is sad because the actual therapist is amazing.

I've been on a waitlist for an afternoon appointment since June. No follow up. I've given up and just kept my regular schedule. 2. They have an automated text reminder. 3 times I received it and emailed them to confirm because the therapist told me she'd be out that day. Once I showed up and was told their new therapist doesn't start until a week later. Despite me getting the reminder from them. 3. I called for a day of the week change and was told they need to confirm the therapist availability and that they'll call me back once it's confirmed. I never got that call. 4. I had some problems with FSA where their receipts aren't accepted and they told me they would change my receipt from ST to say speech therapy. That never happened. Anything schedule related I just settled and work around the day he has. As far as FSA I go in have have them print me a detailed itemized receipt. Overall if you need something done and they can do it then and there, it'll be done quick. Phones and emails gets answered quickly. And you get a fast response. The problem is with their follow up and follow through. Interesting for a place that teaches speech has poor communication themselves.

Both of my children were referred, authorized, evaluated, and started the intake process together, yet weeks later we are suddenly being told they must now be scheduled on separate days and different times despite me making my expectations very clear from the beginning. I specifically explained upfront that if these accommodations could not be met, we would seek services elsewhere instead of wasting valuable time waiting through this process. Instead of listening, the office continued the process only to later tell us they could not accommodate what was already discussed. Melva contacted me multiple times only to repeatedly say there was "nothing she can do," which is unacceptable considering this issue was created by the facility's own lack of communication and scheduling consistency. She also refused to provide management or owner contact information when requested, making it even more frustrating to try and resolve the issue professionally. To make matters worse, Zoom appointments were suggested for my son despite being informed he cannot effectively participate in long virtual sessions due to focus and attention difficulties. Families seeking services deserve clear communication, honesty, and respect from the beginning -- especially when dealing with children and lengthy referral/authorization wait times. I walked in, and the place was literally a wreck…read more Trash everywhere, toys covering the floor, blankets all over the place, but I could get over that if the service was good, and at first it was, so I kept coming back. Then the speech therapist started showing up 10-15 minutes late every week. She also cut our time short, and wrote on our times that we had a full hour, when it was more like 40 minutes. She started trying to get my son to do things that were completely age inappropriate. He was only 2, and she wanted him to match pictures that had the same ending sound. When he didn't want to, because he didn't get it, she said that concerned her. HUH?! Also, when I asked her if there were things I could do/should do at home with him, to improve his speech, she said no. She never seemed to have a plan, and did the same basic thing every week, which was basically just playing puzzles with him and showing him flash cards. I could have done these things at home and not had to pay $100 a month. All in all, I feel like this was a waste of time and money. I was not happy, and I am happy to now be at a place where they are professional, extremely thorough, have a plan, and do things with my son that are age appropriate. They even give me homework every week of things to work on with him. Not with My World. If you are looking to improve your child's speech, I would say steer clear of this place.
