Both my sons have been to Carrico for 3 years now for therapy services. We required services in home and at your clinic. We are extremely grateful for the therapists and their services, they have undoubtedly helped our sons blossom and develop a variety of new skills. We've had an array of therapists here for OT and PT, my youngest son Theo started therapy here at just 6 months old. Our most recent therapist for the past year has been Miss Chrisel. She is the most caring, kind hearted therapist we've had the pleasure of working with. She not only cares for my sons well being but also went the extra mile to make sure he was hitting all his goals and surpassing them. My son Theo is not always the easiest of kids, he is very independent and prefers things done his way, and at home has very high energy and has sensory needs. She was so patient and understanding with him, in the end we experienced little to no 'meltdowns' and he would complete the activity as requested. Theo just turned 3 now and graduated from services at Carrico and we were told during the IEP meeting that he didn't need an IEP as he was demonstrating skills exceeding his age and into the 4-5 year old range, for instance using scissors, fine motor skills, challenging puzzles for older kids, block stacking, counting etc. I am a true believer Miss Chrisel was a huge contributor to his success and we will be eternally grateful for her services. After every therapy was completed she would debrief me on how he did and what they did, and we would discuss any concerns she or I might have and the corrective measures that need to be taken to reach goals. Anything issues I experienced leading up to therapy in the days prior she would listen to and incorporate them into the therapy plan for that day. I am extremely saddened that our therapy has come to an end with Miss Chrisel and the rest of the Carrico team but we will cherish the memories we made and we wish you all the best for the future. read more

I was referred to Carrico 4 years ago when my daughter started falling behind in her (physical) milestones at just 8 months old. Maria (PT) worked with her once a week. I remember being nervous about my infant daughter needing therapy but Maria was very kind, informative, highly educated, and supportive. Initially, Maria allowed me to sit in and watch her sessions until I felt comfortable enough to wait for her in the waiting room. Each sessIon always ended with a report of how she did and what I can do at home to help meet her goals. Maria worked with my daughter from the time she was barely sitting to the time she couldn't stop running. It was truly amazing to see her finally meet her goals with Maria there by our sides. We also used Carrico when my daughter needed assistance with eating. Megan (OT) is absolutely wonderful as well. Megan was extremely patient and understanding and did physical activities with my daughter to help her transition into eating. She also provided lots of suggestions and resources and worked hard to develop trust with my daughter. We again saw progress with Megan. Fast forward to 2019 and we are back again at Carrico because my second daughter also needs PT therapy. Maria is our therapist once again and we couldn't be happier. Maria is the head Physical Therapist at Carrico Therapy and is the best. She is able to assess quickly as well as develop a treatment plan for your child. My child has been going there for months. When he first started going he could barely sit up on his own, now he is walking independently and refining skills for him to access the playground equipment safety before he is dismissed. Maria is flexible, understanding, helpful, kind, professional, and most of all caring. I tried other PTs (for insurance reasons) and always left those appointments feels extremely grateful for Maria. She is amazing and really knows what she is doing and will help your child. Liz is AMAZING!!! My young son has a difficult time warming up to new people and situations and yet within 5 minutes of meeting Liz, he was hugging her and blowing her kisses. Our two sons have been in Occupational Therapy at Carrico for sensory issues and feeding therapy. We have had a wonderful experience with Lan and Melanie. Both therapists are warm, creative, knowledgeable, and fantastic with the kids. They make the time really fun for them and help them build confidence in themselves as their skills grow. It's made a huge difference for both boys to have this therapy. We see fewer meltdowns at home, significant gains in their self-care and hygiene skills, and openness to a wider range of foods. We have had a great experience at Carrico. Both our Mels (therapists) listen to our concerns for our daughter and they focus on her goals. Within months my daughter has shown so much improvement and has actually graduated from PT. Both Mels put in so much hard work with each of the kiddos they work with. My girl Angela has motor skill delay, she was barely crawling at around age 2 before we started therapies with Maria. Maria helped Angela to learn positioning and transitioning from lay down to sit to stand and put great efforts in every session. I was extremely happy with my interactions and results at Carrico Pediatric Therapy. My pediatrician recommended that I find some physical therapy for my very young son, who hadn't been walking or crawling. My husband, son, and I met with the owner, Lan and her physical therapist, Maria and we were very impressed. Maria had my son walking in no time and then she proceeded to teach him how to crawl. As parents, we were happy that our son was walking but Maria wanted to ensure that his upper body core muscles were being built up. We enjoyed taking our son to PT every week and he truly liked his special time with Maria and all their fun toys. After a couple months, Maria told me that my son didn't need to come back and I was happy, but sad that we wouldn't be visiting every week. Lan, Maria, and their team are professional, loving, patient, and caring to the kids and parents. My daughter Lucy started at Carrico Pediatric Therapy with her therapist Liz when she was 19 months old, she is now 28 months and the improvements are dramatic. There has been a major decrease in her developmental delays, and improvements in her social interactions, her communication, and in both her fine and gross motor skills.
