Really good pizza! That sauce is kind of sweet and the crust has the perfect amount of caramelization.

Now this is what service and food is about…read more After having a bad experience at a local Santa Fe restaurant for NYE, a friend suggested we try this place out. From the jump, we were welcomed and given a booth with a beautiful view of the mountains. Kirk who was our waiter introduced himself, provided a sample of their signature wine and knew so much about the winery/history and only been there since October. He made suggestions on wines and overall made this experience awesome. Kudos to Kirk

What an interesting experience. They've done a great job restoring and revamping the old The Falls…read moresteakhouse. The vibe of the whole place, the patio, the wine selection, the seating, all gives off class and high end dining. They nailed the atmosphere, and maintained the old fountain outside! The wine is always lovely. Was surprised by what we liked best and really enjoyed the tasting. The food remains the weak link at DH Lescombes. It's very salty, and (given Albuquerque's incredible farm to table selection) falls short on feeling exceptional. It's processed food that feels like high-end Chili's fare. The experience was still a good one. Would most certainly recommend the patio and wine.

I hadn't been to Prairie Star for over 10 years and my husband booked us an anniversary dinner…read more When we arrived it was before sunset and we were seated by a window overlooking the mountains. We had a wonderful view and were seated far enough away from the quincera party that the noise didn't impact us. Our food was great, I enjoyed the calemari and my dish, as did my husband. Our waitress was alright, but admitedly the table next to ours had a waitress that seemed to go above and beyond for her customers and knowledge of the menu. She could have trained other staff. The biggest reason for the downvote was a restroom experience. I waslked into the restroom and noticed the smell was unpleasant and the ADA stall was clogged. I went to the smaller one, but as I sat, I heard gurggling. The toliets backed up as did the drains very quickly. I managed to get out of there as fast as possible, but still got dirty feces waste all over my shoes. I immedately notified the hostess and my husdband asked for the check. Between the time this happend and we walked out the door, the sewage was seeping out the bathrooms with no signs in place and no seeming rush to correct this issue. The smell was overwhemling and I can only assuem that many others noticed. A sewage issue means the kitchen also cannot wash dishes or sanatize properly. The resturant should have notified custumers and the party, while allowing poeple to take their food home. This unfortante incident caused our night to go arry.

A Hidden Gem for Wine Lovers in Old Town…read more Stopped into Noisy Water Winery while walking around Old Town and it ended up being one of the highlights of the afternoon. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a really cool art-gallery vibe throughout the space. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time sipping wine and browsing the local artwork. The wine selection was impressive--lots of unique New Mexico wines to choose from, and the tasting flights are a great way to try several different varieties. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, offering recommendations based on what we liked and explaining the wines without making it feel intimidating. We also tried a cheese board which paired perfectly with the wine and made the whole experience feel a little extra special. Whether you're a serious wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun stop while exploring Old Town, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great wine, great vibe, and great service. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in the area.

To make it more fun, they end each tasting with a green chile wine pour. Good wine, great service and they even have live music at times.

Hidden Gem in Nobhill Albuquerque…read more I recently visited the restaurant at Mission Winery and had a great experience from start to finish. To start, I ordered the sangria and the crab & artichoke dip. The sangria was on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly so, making it easy to enjoy with the appetizer. The dip was delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor, although I honestly couldn't taste much artichoke. It was still a great starter, especially paired with the bread. For dinner, I ordered the red chile fried chicken bites with fries. The chicken was the standout of the meal--crispy, flavorful, and coated in a delicious red chile sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The fries were perfectly cooked and paired well with the ketchup. My friend shared the appetizer with me and ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, which she enjoyed alongside one of the wine tasting flights. The real surprise of the evening came after dinner. Our host handed us a card with a password to access the speakeasy downstairs. If you visit Mission Winery, don't skip this part. The speakeasy had a completely different atmosphere from the restaurant above and quickly became the highlight of the night. The space feels intimate, sophisticated, and thoughtfully designed, with dark wood accents, comfortable seating, and a stylish lounge vibe. My friend and I both ordered espresso martinis, and they were fantastic. The presentation alone was impressive--the unique glassware was chilled and helped keep the cocktail cold longer, allowing us to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Between the excellent food, wine, creative cocktails, and the hidden speakeasy experience, Mission Winery offers much more than just a typical dinner out. The restaurant was great, but the speakeasy downstairs is what will have me coming back. Recommendation: Start with dinner upstairs, then ask about the speakeasy password and finish your evening downstairs with an espresso martini. It's one of the coolest date night or girls' night experiences I've found in Albuquerque.

That kind of hospitality makes the whole meal feel elevated. I had Le Flor, a gorgeous pink gin and elderflower cocktail that was as lovely as it was refreshing. We also loved the chicken thigh skewers, which were flavorful and tender without being fatty, served with a beautiful yogurt smudge on the plate. The grilled eggplant with capers and manchego was another favorite, and the jamón croquettes were crisp, savory perfection. Creative food, thoughtful service, and a warm Santa Fe atmosphere.
