I keep coming back because it's so good! There are few places that serve delicious dimsum and so many other things! Today I had the pho' superbowl and some dimsum. For the dimsum please try the shrimp dumplings! Huge shrimp inside. And the pho was so good and huge. For now this is the only place I'll go for Chinese/ Vietnamese fusion

This restaurant is my family's go-to for family dinner - I love this place! There is a parking lot right outside the restaurant and there are plenty of tables inside. The food came out pretty fast after we ordered. Since their portions are so large, I recommend ordering family-style and sharing! My favorite dish is the Seafood & Fish Maw Soup. This time, we also ordered other dishes such as the Seafood Fried Rice and the Pepper Salted Squid, but were surprised when all the dishes tasted a little more bland than they usually do, which was disappointing... normally, their food has such rich flavors! Additionally, with it being the holidays, there was Christmas music playing. The music was a little too loud, and the songs were repeating, which made the ambiance feel a bit overwhelming near the end of our dining experience. Other than the music and the slight blandness of the food, we enjoyed our dining experience and the service we received.

    Whole catfish: excellent.

First, the big negative: one of the sketchiest parking lots in the city. I kept checking on my car and walked members of our party to theirs. Once you can get beyond that then this is a very good Chinese-Vietnamese offering. I much prefer this than a pure Chinese restaurant as the drink selection is hands down better, the seafood a cut-above, and service shines. The gigantic whole fried catfish was the star of the show. Too many dishes to list, but the short ribs and clams were excellent. It's an overall value play. Good place for large parties. And no automatic gratuity and health fee BS.

Great Food and fast services. Very affordable pricing! Hot Teas are free. The go to restaurant for Viet and Chinese cuisine. Everyone in the group was really happy with the meal.

What a beautiful place to eat at! The best service, the music and the food is exceptional! My grandma and I ordered pho and my grandpa ordered chicken with noodles. Our appetizer was shrimp tempura which was delicious with the sauce they provided! Thank you so much for the care and love used to make our food!!!

Growing up in Portland, this restaurant has been a staple but I haven't visited for the past couple of years until recently. The restaurant is spacious inside, with lots of seating so that it's perfect for big parties. The staff the whole time was very quick and nice. When I went, we ordered a number of dishes to share family-style. One thing I really appreciate about this spot is that there's a nice blend of Vietnamese-Chinese food and it offers a large variety of dishes that aren't typically offered at Portland restaurants. All of their dishes were pretty good, but I wouldn't say that quality was the same across all dishes. Some were saltier than they should be and others were more bland than I would expect--it just depends on your order. However, the spot is overall a good spot for a nice meal with a big group and to enjoy some Viet-Chinese food family-style!

First rate. Great food, terrific service, very clean! Hot and sour soup was served with lunch, full of tofu and vegetables, and just the right amount of heat. All three lunches were delicious, I wouldn't change a thing. We also had potstickers, they were deep fried, I'll forgive them for that, anyway the filling was excellent. I will be going back. Sorry Golden Dynasty, you've lost us, this is closer and maybe a little bit better!

We came in for dinner for a group of 6 on a Saturday night right at 5pm. There were maybe a few tables but not yet super busy (as it did later while we were dining). They seated us immediately, gave us water, and left us sitting for about 15 mins. No menus. No one came to check on us. There were maybe two other big tables that they were tending to. I went to the front to ask for menus, the guy seemed shocked and apologetic that menus weren't distributed to us yet. Otherwise, staff were friendly, refilled waters and tea throughout dinner. For the food... the sweet & sour pork spare ribs were delicious, lightly breaded, and tender, however, that was probably the only thing that was really enjoyable. A few mediocre dishes to follow, but i would definitely recommend not ordering the salt and pepper squid here (i know! A staple dish) very bland, and the squid was hard.

I ordered catering here for my daughters birthday & this is how the Orange chicken looked. We through it all away. What a waste of money.

The neon lights and vibrant atmosphere are a total dopamine boost, especially after a night out! I hadn't been back since their post-COVID renovation, and I was so impressed! With that being said, I do think that the food could use a bit more work. The restaurant is called Luc Lac, and so naturally I ordered their namesake dish. The beef was not very tender or juicy and the flavors overall seemed to be lacking. Portion sizes, however, are very generous, so I'll give them that. I tried the Durian Horchata and sadly could not taste any durian flavor. I know that durian can be an acquired taste (and smell), but the drink just tasted like a regular horchata with some hints of pandan. Maybe I will return to try their cocktails.

The egg noodle bowl on the top with fried chicken and tofu was phenomenal. The chicken was similar to fish sauce wings and the tofu was very caramelized and had a nice salty coating of sauce. An order of spring rolls were also ordered, but wasn't in the photo. It was ordered with crispy pork belly. Downtown Portland's hidden gem for authentic Vietnamese!…read more I was walking around downtown Portland and stumbled upon Cuốn Vietnamese Street Food, and honestly, it was the best meal of my week . If you are looking for fresh, flavorful, and satisfying comfort food, do not walk--run to this spot. To get the full experience, we ordered a variety, and every single item was a hit. We started with the Beef Pho, and the broth was the absolute star. It was rich, aromatic, and deeply savory, clearly simmered for hours. It was the perfect dish on a sunny Portland day. We also grabbed a Chicken Banh Mi. The bread had that perfect crispy crust with a soft, airy crumb, and the chicken was grilled to perfection with fresh veggies and herbs. Of course, we had to wash it all down with a creamy, sweet Thai Tea--it was delicious and the perfect end to the meal. Beyond the food, the vibe is great. It's a super clean, casual spot with big windows letting in lots of natural light. It's set up for quick counter service, which makes it perfect for a fast lunch downtown, but the staff is so friendly and welcoming that you feel right at home. It's a family-run business, and you can taste the passion in the food. Highlights: · The Pho Broth: Seriously some of the best in the city. · The Banh Mi: Fresh bread, great fillings. · The Service: Fast, efficient, and incredibly kind. Pro Tip: Don't forget to grab your own utensils and sauces (the chili crisp is a must for the pho), and help yourself to the free self-serve hot tea. It's the little touches like that which make this place a winner. I am already planning my next trip back to try the Crispy Pork Belly. Highly recommend

Positives: fresh, well made, very flavorful proteins. Cons:…read morePrice I tried Cuon for the first time and enjoyed it. I went for a Vermicelli bowl where you get to pick 2 proteins. I selected Pork Belly (their specialty) and lemongrass chicken. The bowl itself is standard Vietnamese fare, nothing special, creative or exciting in that sense. That said, the ingredients tasted fresh and the proteins were very well seasoned and cooked. The pork belly skin had an awesome crunch and you can clearly taste the lemongrass in the chicken. The included spring roll had nice crunch but little flavor. Unfortunately, outside of Pho, Banh Mi and Noodle Bowls, there's sadly not much else to the menu. No Vietnamese salads, stir frys, etc. Either way, what they do make, they seem to make quite well. So, on to my main issue ie, that for a place thats only open for lunch, the prices are a bit too high. I noted about $16 for a Banh Mi sandwich, no sides. Pho was around $20 and my noodle bowl was about $20 as well. Weirdly, its about the same prices as eating lunch back home in Miami, a FAR more expensive city in general. In fact, I've often had more exciting Vietnamese in Manhattan for lower prices. So while its easy to recommend Cuon on quality, its not a top recommendation for lunch value in the PDX which is why Im docking 1 star.
