Legit Vietnamese food. You can tell it's good when the majority of the customers are Asian and many speak Vietnamese to the servers. We ordered the bun mang Vit (duck noodles in broth that comes with a plate of duck cabbage salad). Large portion and tasty. We also ordered the pho special which is delicious. I liked how they served us with hot tea right away on this rainy day. Also the restroom was clean. Resting in the parking lot of Fu Bonn, this noodle house is amazing. It was very full when I went in, but seating was prompt. I ordered the shrimp and pork salad rolls to start. I must say they were some of the best I've had. Fresh produce, the rice paper wasn't tough...just stellar.i also got the special pho with everything. We have now been here twice. Pho has never been my thing, but I crave theirs. The broth has AMAZING flavor and the small is plenty for 2 meals. My partner has gotten the beef and chicken skewers and both were tasty as well. The food comes out quickly and the staff is super nice. Was a but thrown off by how to pay, you got to the front, but that is so a me problem. It is super casual and lovely. We've never had to wait too long for a place to sit, and it was full both times. I love that this is right next to Fubon and has the parking lot so no struggle try to find somewhere to park, the age old Portland problems. I came across this Pho location when I moved to PDX in 2021, I have yet to discover another pho place I enjoy more. The broth served here is rich, both beef and vegetable. This is one of the few places that I can order a side of bok choy to add to my pho. The owners are always so welcoming. I've been coming to this place at least 2 times a month for the last 4 years and will continue to be a loyal customer for as long as this place is in business. -Service is and has always been on our past visits, outstanding. -Disappointed with food quality today when we went for lunch. Bun Bo Hue Pho was the worst I have ever eaten. It was flavorless, not the spicy broth it is supposed to have. It additionally had alot of fish sauce in the broth, which I understand is an ingredient in the Pho recipe, but the smell was too much for me to enjoy eating and continue eating the meal. -The order of egg roll's was overfried and dry. They did not have any flavor. - Lastly, large group was in the restaurant and the noise level was almost unbearable until the group began eating 15-20 mins after they arrived. I understand there is not much any restaurant can do, when a large group arrives; but it was just one more thing to make the meal for me one of the worst. On vacation for 2 wks, this Pho and Bun Thit Nuong really hit the spot. The pho had everything I like, but I wanted more gau. Ordered a few of the Special Pho bowls ($10 each) and an avocado smoothie $4.75. Food came relatively fast and we loved the soup base. When asked for some hot tea and the bean sprouts to be steamed, they were quick to respond. However, we had to remind them of the avocado smoothie. They probably got busy and forgot, because it actually never made it to the table. Service was decent, didn't get our water refill and communication with a bit difficult with some of their staffs. I don't think they understood my request. I didn't like the way the cash register was set up. Basically, when you're done with your meal, walk up to the register and give them your table number. The pay station was set up in a way where you're in the way of heavy foot traffic between customers and staff. Didn't have much room to stand when you have another party that's ready to pay as well. Quality Vietnamese Food I got the duck soup which is like Pho Ga (Chicken soup) but with duck. It was a simple, tasty clear broth with bamboo shoots and slices of duck that came with a side of ginger dipping sauce. Definitely hit the spot and gave me that cozy home cooking feel. Great soup especially if you're feeling under the weather or just because you're craving a healthy option soup. We also ordered the bbq combo vermicelli bowl with the bbq pork and shrimp. These people are total scammers. I paid $18 for food, but they ended up charging me 3x for that, and extra by adding tip onto it without my consent. They refused to fix it in the restaurant and NOW it's still on my credit card, where I've been charged $68 for a basic, bland $18 meal. They refuse to return my voicemails about this or to take my bank's calls. They're a completely unethical and scammy business that likely does this regularly, given how super nonchalant they are about it. They just want the money and hope that no one will write about it. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in SE. All their menu items are quite good and reasonably priced. I especially like their veggie pho and vermicelli bowls. The ambience is nothing special, but it's clean and pleasant. The service is also nothing special, but it's quick and effective. We had special pho, pho tai and the grilled pork chop and shrimps plate(C5). The large pho was HUGE. It's like an Olympic sized pool. I could see myself doing dives and practicing my backstroke in it(haha). Seriously, it was huge and full of deliciousness. The veggies that came with it were very fresh. The broth broth was on point and there was so much meat. The C5 plate was also a hit with my picky eater. She refused to share. Came to Fubonn to get groceries and happen to see this place open. Upon entering we were greeted and promptly taken to our seats . Once we were ready we flagged down someone to take our order and asked for hot tea (which we never got) that's fine I need to drink more water anyways . We ordered some appetizers and a rice dish and the duck noodle soup. Food overall was ok and service was great. Portion for me was just perfect but for my husband who got the rice dish it was not so much generous. The appetizers need some work . The first batch of egg rolls were not fully cooked and the nem nuong was not flavorful even with the sauce it came with. The sauce they had didn't complement the nem nuong. I am still going to go back to try other dishes . UPDATE: Gave this another try today and am very pleased and can't wait to come back. Food presentation and flavor was on point . Only advise would be to put more ice in the strawberry lemonade but it's an easy fix . Keep it up ! read more

We ordered two large #4 pho, $10 each - waited forever for our soup, eventually they brought out pork dry noodle bowls - we said "this is wrong" waitress said "you wanted B4, soup is P4" we never said any letters, apparently they use the SAME numbers for everything but they put a letter in front?? LETTERS THAT SOUND THE SAME?? P and B? And that aren't listed that way on the menu? The noodle bowls don't even come in 2 sizes :/ anyway they fixed it but it was weird how she kept insisting WE "said it wrong" so BE CAREFUL how you order here - be sure your waitress understands you. Pho had the wrong meat in it (I was starving and did not feel like trying to fix it) The meat was iffy quality and sadly the tendon tasted freezer burned - broth was just ok. Other than the odd order mix up, the people seemed really nice and the place was clean. There are so many great pho places here that unless a new place really impresses out the gate there's no real reason to come back. Got here at 9:30am before the crowd. Was greeted warmly by an employee or owner. She was very attentive through the entire meal. My friend and I both got the #6. It was delicious. I have had plenty of pho and I would have to say that this is in my top 3. The establishment is clean and neat. The side veggies were fresh. No brown spots. It was an excellent meal.
