Whenever someone visits Portland and wants food spots, I always recommend Pho Hung. The staff is quick and kind, the atmosphere is comforting and familiar, and I've never had a bad meal there. Above all else, my favorite thing about this spot is recognizing the familiar faces of people who have also made this restaurant their go-to pho spot. Cannot recommend this place enough. Honorable mention for fun merch available for purchase.

This has been a go-to spot for my boyfriend's family, who first introduced me to it, and we've been coming back together consistently for the past two years. In my opinion, this is the best-tasting pho in Portland. The broth is incredibly rich and full of depth, with a flavor that keeps you coming back for more (and honestly wishing the portions were even bigger, despite being satisfying). Every visit has been consistent, and this time was no exception. The service is always quick and efficient, which makes it an easy and reliable choice. The pricing is normal, for the quality and portion size, and they're generous with the meat, which is nice, because recently places have been stingy. This is a spot that is comforting, flavorful and convenient we keep returning to for years to come! Thank you Pho Hung!

Visited on a dark rainy night when we were craving hot noodle soup. This place did not disappoint! First off, they have a lot with ample parking. Thank goodness we didn't have to walk in the rain. We were seated immediately; the restaurant was nearly full. They also have a bustling takeout business. We tried #2 and the super bowl. Both were served HOT with fresh veggies. Exactly the bowl of comfort we were looking for! Even though they were busy, the servers were very attentive and tables were turned over quickly. A little on the pricey side, but the bowls were large and delicious. We would return!

It's difficult for me to declare any one Vietnamese restaurant is my favorite because there are so many great places in Portland, however, Pho Hung is definitely at the top of my list. This place has been my go-to with out-of-town guests and family celebrations for years... so hopefully that gives you an idea of how consistently wonderful Pho Hung has been in my life. The Powell Blvd location was recently renovated, so the dining room is warm and inviting. There are a fair number of seats to choose from, so lunch hour usually doesn't require any kind of wait for a seat. The staff are quick and courteous, and food is always delivered to the table in just a few minutes. I'm always impressed with their service. Powell Blvd is a really busy street, so please be careful when entering and exiting the parking lot. Visibility is limited when exiting west from the parking lot.

Visiting from LA. Our friend loves it here. She's a regular. I'm not a Pho fan. I've only had it 3 times and it was always a bad experience for me. Being that my friend was so excited I didn't want to tell her I wasn't a fan. This Pho restaurant is huge. Lots of tables. It was packed, which showed me how popular they were. That was a good sign. Service was great. Very attentive and fast service. Got our order in as soon as we sat. Didn't take long for our food to come out. I ordered the #11 large. Boy did I feel relieved once I tried their broth here. I was pleasantly surprised how great it tasted. They make their own homemade chili sauce. Their chili sauce is outstanding. I added that to my Pho and I was a happy camper. I finished my entire bowl. The meat and noodles quality were great. 10/10 overall dish. This place has definitely changed my perspective for Pho.

Service is 10+ stars from the moment you walk in! You can smell the broth from the parking lot and it's as good as it smells! Portions are a good size and we left super full! We drove across town based on other reviews we saw online and trust me it is well worth the drive. Don't hesitate and just come on over! We will definitely be back on our next visit to Portland!

I don't usually eat pho at restaurants because I'm so used to my mom's pho, but the pho I had here was surprisingly good! The broth was flavorful and I didn't really need to add hoisin. We came right before closing and they were able to accommodate us. Because we ordered pho, our food came out fairly quickly. We finished the whole bowl; we were the last to dine in, but left before everyone else lol. We would definitely come back here next time we're in Oregon!

This is some GREAT pho. Family run, authentic. It's a little pricey, but it's a big bowl. The complimentary tea is a nice touch.

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Portland. The place is spacious and clean, the service is super speedy and the food "Oh my God" is super delicious and authentic.!!! We always order the pho with all the fixings.

My favorite pho spot in Portland. Both their beef pho and chicken pho are so good and comforting - perfect for the Portland weather. Food comes out really quick and their menu has a lot of options for everyone. Their vermicelli is really good too.

It has been awhile since I've been back here. Not much has change, as the food still comes out piping hot and fairly quick. Its a place to get some good quality pho. I like that you can be in and out of here in less than 30 minutes if you wanted to.

Really delicious pho broth with fresh tender brisket and veggie ingredients. They've got lots of parking, lots of seating inside, nice and clean space, has beef stew + French bread on the menu (my sis is going to love this place), their service is really good and attentive, and they serve complimentary hot tea! What more can you ask for? New favorite pho spot in Portland.

Vietnamese American classics prepared with care. Delicious Pho and barbecued pork and shrimp served with rice or rice noodles. Service was fast, friendly and efficient!

Word on the street, they're reopening March 18, and now I must word this as a question to be published, so what's your favorite item on the menu?

Special Pho with a side of French bread.

    Has it reopened yet?

I was just told that the remodeling sign is down but the business isn't open yet. I saw Ma ma…

Are they remodeling? For the love of Pho. Please be under remodel.

Several of the Pho Hung staff are working at Pho Kim on 82nd. We just spoke with Fung (one of the waiters from PH) and she said that Pho Hung will be opening in January 2019.

The egg noodle bowl on the top with fried chicken and tofu was phenomenal. The chicken was similar to fish sauce wings and the tofu was very caramelized and had a nice salty coating of sauce. An order of spring rolls were also ordered, but wasn't in the photo. It was ordered with crispy pork belly. Based on some reviews, I was skeptical about ordering the pork belly, but I was pleasantly surprised. The skin was very crispy and you could hear the crunch from across the restaurant. The restaurant is very open with big windows, but I liked the concept of the open kitchen look. The service was really good. We ended up ordering pork belly and shrimp for our spring rolls and the worker politely came by and told us they were out of it. He was able to accommodate for it and was very kind about it. It's a Vietnamese delicacy you can't find anywhere else in Oregon so I'm glad to have to a Portland restaurant to offer this. They give a plentiful amount of fresh herby veggies combo with fresh hot rice noodles alongside tender flavorful char siu and SUPER CRISPY pork belly! The staff are friendly and the store is extremely aesthetic, the interior has this spin on modern Vietnamese style of decorations. Great interiors that's won't disappoint your date. I absolutely recommend coming here for their niche Vietnamese food!

I.E I asked what's comes with fritter/what is it made out of? If it comes with shrimp or what not because Vietnamese fritters usually comes or made with those things, however the only answer I got was "it's just a fritter and it comes with the hot sauce" ... okay. Another negative things is that looking for parking was challenging, they don't have a designated parking area and street parking can be tough especially because it is shared by the neighborhood. PROS: They were able to accommodate us with our little one, and duck roll was great, and the breadsticks with pâté was also great. Their pho was mediocre and their supposedly "bun thit nuong" was deconstructed and was swimming in fish sauce :(
