The drink is gray before the espresso is added, and pretty much stays that way. I got it iced, and it tasted quite good--not too sweet. Charcoal does not change the flavor. I often get a sour stomach from drinking coffee later in the morning, as I did here, but did not experience that this time. Charcoal isn't known as an acid reducer, most people that use it do it to remove toxins before they reach the kidneys but the benefits are not clear. in any case, it's something that's not on the Starbucks menu! Service was friendly and enthusiastic. They have a wide variety of coffees, including cold brew and chemex as well as espresso. They have teas as well. The owner prepares the drink in front of you, which would be particularly fun with Chemex. There are a lot of coffee options around but if you live near here it's definitely worth a try as a change from the chains. It's also a nice looking truck.

Despite that, after another 15 minutes, the tacos finally came out incorrect, with both hot sauce and a salad, and they were lukewarm, not hot. To make matters worse, the smoothie itself wasn't properly blended. What stood out most is that they weren't particularly busy, just a light morning crowd. I've been to the Tomball location when it was much busier, and the service there was still fast and attentive, which set a high expectation. Overall, the experience didn't match the premium pricing. The shop has such a great atmosphere. Half of the space is a cozy coffee shop, while the other half is dedicated to roasting their beans in-house, which makes the experience feel even more special. I ordered the Honey Vanilla Iced Latte with oat milk, and my husband got the Caramel Iced Latte. Both drinks were absolutely amazing! You can really taste the quality of the beans, and it shows how much care goes into every cup. I also loved that most of their syrups are made in-house. It had these gorgeous two-toned layers, with the espresso on top and that beautiful purple color at the bottom. It almost looked too pretty to drink... almost. They have a cute doggy rest area, a little garden with plants, and an adorable kids' play area with an Indian teepee, a little ship and a playhouse. It's more than just a coffee shop.
