My only complaint is their intense lack of flexibility and willingness to work with parents on any schedule change, summer schedules with children can be incredibly hectic and most if not all of the camps open up by March and fill up by the end of March requiring you to have all of your summer vacation plans work and multiple children's schedules figured out which is not always the case. We booked my daughter for the two day pick up classes as well as their two week camp just shy of three weeks prior we had to change our vacation schedule that now overlapped with the two day camps because it was inside the three weeks. They absolutely would not let me cancel it or put the money towards one of the other camps. Even the other one we hadn't signed up for yet. My daughter's little friend wanted to do the two day camp, but they were full and they absolutely would not let us change the name for her to go. All we could do is cancel it and lose our money. They then proceeded to hound me and call me multiple times asking me to cancel my space to release the space for other children, which yes was very spiteful of me not to, and I feel bad that someone wasn't able to go, but I don't feel bad that they were going to charge me full price and then turn around and charge someone else the same. It certainly isn't cheap,. So is friendly as it is on the surface, which definitely is the most important factors for my daughters. The behind the scenes is not a kindly run organization with super strict in flexible policies. This review would give them a one star to be honest, but again the directors and the experience my daughters have is why I gave it a much higher rating.

We live an hour away, but I drove my daughter there every single Sunday. At first, I honestly questioned everything. I wondered if it was too expensive, if it was legitimate, and if we were making the right decision. But looking back now, I can say with my whole heart that it was one of the best decisions we ever made for our daughter. My daughter stayed with the program for two years, graduated, walked the red carpet with so much confidence, and watched her graduation film on the big screen surrounded by people who believed in her. It was emotional for me as a parent because I saw how much she had grown, not just as an actress, but as a person. We chose to continue because my daughter truly loved acting. I worked extra hard to make the tuition possible, and every sacrifice was worth it because this is where she discovered her passion and found confidence in herself. Gary Spatz and Gayla Goehl saw something special in her before anyone else did, and I will always be grateful for that. Because of the foundation she built at The Playground, she now has incredible representation with, one of the most respected agencies in Los Angeles. We have watched and been the recipients of her kind, loving, and generous heart. She has built wonderful studios that are a safe place for our children to not only learn and grow as dancers, but also grow into confident young women. She has continued to evolve her studios, offering new and current styles of dance while always keeping that personal touch. Her teachers are professionals in their own right and help our children learn, create, and thrive. Sophie is also able to accommodate every level and interest in dance... from the little ones just starting out (who are always the cutest on stage!), to older dancers with a true passion for dance, to the competition teams for those who love the challenge and commitment of competing. Having dance in my girls' lives and being part of the Sophie Dance family has been one of the biggest highlights of their lives. Being in this class has not only helped me grow as an actor and be able to use my mind better as an actor, but it helped me grow as a quick thinker and a person. i have also watched other people in the class break out of their shells and be more confident and give them self a bigger voice. thanks kid factor.
