Disgusting and dirty location with nasty food, unfair prices, watered down drinks, and dangerous location.

My husband, sister & I came here for to have a beer & to play pool last Fri evening. The place itself is a rather small dive bar, but it does have 2 pool tables. We ended up playing at the one in the front since the other one was already taken. We got a round of beers, and played a game of pool for $1. Luckily they had a shorter pool stick since the table was rather close to the wall which made it a challenge to shoot from that side. This is definitely a place where locals come. read more

I go here a couple times a month. The front door staff is rude and out of control. I am speaking with the owner next week I am sure she will be interested in the lies her staff is spreading, costing her business to lose revenue. read more

The music is pretty much the only thing this place has going. Bartender Andy is a complete jerk and cannot even get White Claw flavor correct! Super rude and very immature. I had about twenty friends with me and was having a great time until I had to deal with that entitled Karen! AKA ANDY! Me and my friends will not be going back there! Amazing service, the bartender made us feel welcomed and was very attentive. The ambiance was vibrant. An overall enjoyable experience.

Beer is cold. Has a full bar and Service is awesome and they are right in the middle of Woodland.

This place sucks! The Dj was rude..i asked him for a request to put on a song for me and my wife then he said he was going to do it, but then later I asked him again to know what time he's going to play the song and he just ignored me.. I guess talking to the girls is more important then doing his job..so unprofessional.. his name was DJ Bmode. They should have hired DJBarcode at least he's nice and not rude. It was also stuffy in the bar, it seems like the AC doesn't work in this place. This is the worst bar I been to on a Friday night and I don't recommend this place to anyone... read more

Friendly people, fair prices. Excellent neighborhood bar! To the guy complaining about $5 Sierra Nevadas: that's cheap, get a job.

For woodland it's pretty good. Love the owner and happy hour prices are great. Definitely catering to an older crowd. The patio is great because you can bring your drinks out. Plus it's a nice view of goings on at the corner of west and main. The decor is nice as people have stated. I would love it if the crowd was slightly more upscale. Of course that's hard to come by almost anywhere in woodland. on the whole it's my favorite bar in woodland. I've lived in woodland 10 years and it is what it is. When this was Big Mac daddy's it was awesome. When it was all stars it sucked. The goat? Much closer to the former but not quite as good. And for those of you who need a pick me up, 24 hours Dutch bros across st. Had to an update and give this place another star cause it's only getting better. Nice place, good pool tables, good current prices. I believe the owner is from Sacramento, and she clearly believes this place will be a winner. Nice re-model, needs 10 years of good spirits to really warm up. I was in town for work, and stopped after dinner and drinks, for pool and more drinks. Great little bar. The bartenders are pretty nice and they got 16 oz of pbr for 3 bucks. And they have a Pac-Man machine tucked in a dark corner in the back of the bar with some seats to zone out to. Plus I enjoy the goat art they have on their walls, especially the two goats making out, lol! But my only compliant is the goddamn djs who spin their music WAY too loud. I've been here a few times now. It's beautiful inside, they really did a great job remodeling it. But that's where the praise sort of stops. The prices for drinks have been inconsistent each time. The last time I was there, $15 for two shots and $6.50 for a pint of domestic beer. This isn't SF for crying out loud. It's also a cash only bar, but they just so happen to conveniently have an ATM inside that charges a ridiculous service fee to take out cash. The way things are now, I don't see a reason to go back. To the owners: If you get your drink pricing right for the market you're in and have more convenient ways for customers to pay, you will have a better chance of sticking around. read more

Nice looking clean place but they don't take cards, don't run tabs, don't have food and they are not very polite about letting you know about those things either. Oh, they do have a lovely cash machine which you can pay three dollars per transaction to use while they wait for you to pay for the drink you haven't even tried yet. First time trying this place out. They had a live band which made the place quite lively. They serve a variety of beers and alcohol. The only drawback is they only accept cash. All in all it's a great place to grab a drink and catch a game. read more

This is a quintessential local bar. Friendly bar tenders. Cash only. Noisy. No beer list. Happy hour is $1 off select beers, but you have to guess which ones they are. No Bud Light on tap. I'm a micro beer drinker, but I couldn't tell what they have on tap and bar tender couldn't tell me either, so I ordered a Bud Light, but I didn't say "draft" and it came in a bottle. How many local bars do not carry Bud Light on tap? read more

Super cool bar in a smallish town! We really love the feel of the bar and it's a great little escape from Sacramento. Great drinks and bartenders, pool tables, karaoke and live music. The town of Woodland should be stoked to have a great neighborhood bar. And to the haters who can't deal with the no credit policy....really? Is it that hard to walk into a place with some cash? Anyone who has owned a small start up business should understand why the policy makes sense. At the end of it, the Thirsty Goat provides what it's meant to provide: drinks and environment. This is the bar All Stars used to be at! This is my first time here and it's absolutely amazing!! They're new so it's kind of slow (give them a chance) but they have some awesome craft beers, pool tables and some of the nicest bartenders ever!! My boyfriend, his brother, and myself came in here to unwind and relax and I am pleasantly surprised. I remember hating All Stars and it wasn't a fun bar to go to in Woodland, especially since we don't have a lot of choices here. But this place is definitely worth a try. It's a cash only bar but they have an ATM, and there's a change machine for the pool tables. We've been going to Old Sac for months because we truly didn't like the bars in the town. Pool tables, game is on, and you can actually get a beer from the bartender without getting shoved...good place. We love the reclaimed wood wall and the cool vibe. Tip: check out the funky doors for the restrooms. Good prices, good beers, good service- you can't go wrong! read more
