Review Update 1-27-24 I've frequented this place for a couple of years now and have always had my eye on the Gochujang BBQ Pork & Kimchi Fried Rice menu item. I don't like kimchi and am not a fan of gochujang, so don't ask me why I've wanted to try this dish for so long. I finally took the plunge though, and I am so glad I did! The chunks of pork tasted tender, smoky, and were finished with a barbeque-y glaze. The rice basically tasted like your standard fried rice, but a little on the spicy side. The fried egg pulled everything together. The runny yolk balanced out any lingering heat from the rice and curbed any extra sweetness the pork might have lent. There were zero outstanding kimchi or gochujang "in your face" flavors. Everything tasted bold, balanced, and pleasant. YUM!! read more

Love this place!! They have really good sushi and drinks! I have been on a date night with the hubs and with a girlfriend, both experiences were awesome. The food is always top notch and they are willing to modify it for you as needed. The service is great, they are kind patient and accommodating for sure. As today is Veterans Day we usually go to one place have for years but this time I decided I wanted to try Thristy Lion we had stopped at one for brunch which had been delicious but that was years ago. We got there around 8:15 ish an we had about a 15 min wait which wasn't bad at all. Isaiah our waiter came with glasses of water and a tumbler (could be calling this wrong) full of water ask if we had any questions for him and then ask about apps. He was very friendly and easy going. I ordered a Cheese Burger with cheddar cheese w/fries well. I should have order it med well for my preference it was still a delicious burger and it had been cooked perfectly my husband ordered Gochuchang Korean BBQ Pork & Kimchi Fried Rice. I will warn you that rice has got a KICK! He enjoyed it greatly. The restaurant has wonderful booths that all restaurants should have cushion on the bottom and on the back for us people who aren't the youngest anymore. They also have beautiful high tables with very cushioned stools. The tables are spaced perfectly so you don't have to worry about walking behind someone sitting there is plenty of space. They have outdoor sitting I at last didn't go out there because it's cold and I'm a ninny and would rather be inside at night but it's a beautiful space. read more

This is one of my happy hour suggestions to people when they are in the area. I have visited this location multiple times for happy hour and twice for brunch. The happy hour is always good to me. There is a good mix of food and drinks. I love the chicken sliders, bacon wrapped prawns, and cauliflower. The drinks are okay. When I came for brunch the first time it was a very crowded Sunday after church. I was alone this day and you could tell the hostess wasn't sure where to seat me. I ended up at a big table made for a group. My server was kind and constantly checked on me. The kitchen was extremely backed up that day and I waited a very long time for my chicken and waffles. Recently they brought back the half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays so if you're with some friends who drink wine it is a great deal. The restaurant is always clean when I visit. The service can be iffy at times. I have been there on days where is it crowded and the staff is attentive and I have been there at times when it was empty and service was lacking. read more

First time here, met a friend for dinner. Since it was happy hour we ordered several items from the HH menu. The portions are smaller, so it's not a HH deal. Items ordered were cheese curds, French fries, calamari and chicken sliders. Fries, meh. Underdone and under seasoned. Calamari tasted frozen. Sliders were somehow overcooked but not hot. Best item hands down was the cheese curds. Delicious, light batter fried to perfection. We also each had a cocktail, mine was so weak (Moscow mule) I don't think there was much if any vodka in it. Atmosphere is kind of loud and it wasn't very busy so I can't imagine if it was. Host first sat us at a table which hadn't been wiped but we asked to move. I used to be like "meh" whenever someone suggested Thirsty Lion (or any sporty bar, really) because I felt like their gluten free options weren't so great. It's a bar and pub, so what can I expect?! And while Thirsty Lion still doesn't have a huge gf menu, they do have a wide range of items. Bacon wrapped prawns, spicy california roll, queso and chips, fish tacos, steak or salmon entree, lots of salads, the brussel sprouts appetizer... and their food is really good! I definitely recommend the bacon wrapped prawns -- the shrimp is always super fresh and well seasoned, served on a delicious cabbage slaw. The caesar salad is great too... love the big parmesan crisps. Today we had a waitress named Maddy (Maddie?) and she was the best, I told Jon how much I enjoyed her. Really great service. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the weather for once. There's plenty of seating, this place is huge. We actually drove out to Glade Parks for brunch somewhere else, but they were packed and we knew we'd get a seat at Thirsty Lion. OMG I am joining my sister, her boyfriend and mom for brunch. The long hanging hair on the wait staff has absolutely grossed me out. Who carry's plates of food with long hanging hair flowing towards the plate? How is this acceptable to the Euless or Tarrant County HEALTH DEPT.? Cod Fish Tacos are tasty...not much fish. This is honestly probably more 4 stars for me, but the fact that they are all wearing masks still gave them an extra I love the restaurants that love their customers back, and I want to support the establishments that care about the patrons safety. The food was okay, I ordered a burger well done and it came out medium... I also ordered a beer and I guess it got lost in translation because it wasn't on the bill and never came to the table. This is one of our go-to spots for dinner. With a late start on Sunday and all our usual breakfast spots full, we decided to try Thirsty Lion. With 40-minute waits at First Watch just a short walk away, and a 1-hour wait at The Brunch District, there were only two tables occupied here when we came in at 10. There were 3 tables occupied when we left. Restaurant with a 40-minute wait across the plaza, full Aloft hotel across the street (with no restaurant to speak of), and only 3 tables occupied between 10 and 10:45 on a Sunday morning. Let's explore why: Upon arrival, we noticed that the house music was blaring, and the kitchen had its music blaring. It sounded like competing frat parties on a drunken Saturday night. The staff was all standing around yacking at the bar or the food line. The manager was busy giving orientation to two new employees and paying absolutely no attention to what was going on - or not going on - on the floor. When our waiter finally ambled over, we ordered coffee, tea, and our meals. Remember, there are more staff standing around than customers at this moment. Our coffee and tea arrived 7 minutes later, breakfast a few minutes after that - long enough that I was ready for another cup of coffee. Which I mentioned to the runner. 3/4 of the way through my breakfast, still no 2nd cup of coffee - I would normally have been on cup 3. Our original server finally showed up to see if everything was OK and I e-v-e-n-t-u-a-l-l-y got my 2nd, and last, cup of coffee. The breakfast sandwich and fries were good and hot. The Thirsty Lion breakfast had hot eggs, cold bacon, cold skillet fries, and cool toast. With all the people standing around, there was no excuse for food to be sitting in the pass, and with only three tables eating no reason for the 3 or 4 line cooks on duty to not time the meals properly. THERE WERE MORE CHEFS THAN DINERS - never mind servers. Manager never did a fly-by to see how everything was going. Server only stopped by once 1/2 way through the meal. It seemed as if we were a bother to the staff's Sunday morning social. The music, by the way, finally got modulated (though still could be heard) 15 minutes after we complained. NOT our normal Thirsty Lion experience but we will most definitely NOT attempt brunch there again. read more

Yikes! Thirsty Lion in Glade Park has been our go-to since we moved to Euless. But, we've had to back to back bad experiences and may have to take a break for a bit.. First, two weeks ago, the service was friendly, but incredibly slow. We rarely saw our server, frequently had empty beverages and our food took forever to arrive. Once it did, most of it was good, by some was cold, particularly my mom's avocado toast which was practically inedible. Today, we went back, giving a couple weeks ago the benefit of the doubt but were very disappointed. When we were first seated, a friendly server (something Thirsty Lion always has down) greeted us and gave us waters and menus. Unfortunately, that's about where the good of the situation ended. We started with drink orders and the server was struggling with the handheld device used to put in orders. Drinks showed up about 10 minutes later and were unfortunately wrong. However, they provided things we liked so no need to say anything. Next, we ordered food. No issues there. Then, we sat and sat and sat and sat with no explanation whatsoever. During that time; I ordered a glass of wine which did not arrive for 40 minute and the server had to ask me what I ordered. Once our food showed up, my husband's was cold and I still hadn't gotten my drink. The server's phrase when bringing our food was, "well here's your food and I'll go see if your drinks are ready, I guess." I get that restaurants are struggling with staffing, but if we want this kind of service, we can find it and a far lower price point at other local eateries. I really hope Thirsty Lion does something about this. It'll be a bit before we're back. read more

I sat at the bar to enjoy some beer and dinner. I was greeted right away and chose one of their draft beers after looking over their multiple options. I chose the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and I thought it was great. For my meal, I ordered two appetizers, the Garlic Sesame Edamame and Ahi Poke Stack. I thought both of them were delicious and the portions were great for an appetizer. The garlic sesame sauce on the edamame was fantastic. My only complaint was that it took about 15-20min after I received my drink for a bartender to come back and ask if I wanted to order food. They were very busy making drinks for servers and didn't check in very frequently with their customers at the bar. It seemed more like an understaffing issue because they were very friendly and were just very busy. Overall, huge variety of options on their menu and it all sounded good. They have a quality beer list that includes a lot of local draft options. Friendly staff and large TVs allowed me to enjoy my meal. read more

Good vibes. Very chill and relaxed here. Good for a friends get together. They have a pretty good menu and drink menu. I got the spicy chicken sliders and an old fashioned. The drink was good. The sliders were so so. The crunch on them was good, but the fried chicken itself lacked any flavor and was not spicy. I was expecting a kick, but nothing. I asked for some spicy sauce, anything. They brought me Tabasco sauce and tapatio hot sauce and said that's all they had. Those are not spicy. I was a bit disappointed. On our way out, I saw they had sriracha bottles at the hostess table stand. That would have been a better option but they did not mentioned they had that. A little let down on the food. But the drinks were solid. The atmosphere is nice. The servers were nice. May come here again if my friends wanted to. read more

We enter thirsty lion at around 6:00 PM on Thursday night first set us in the back of the restaurant where there is no one within 10 tables or more. Privet dinning I guess. The places is huge so it feel empty unless it's full and it was far from full. Thy needed is in a server section because I'm sure they hadn't had a table to work since the place is empty. These franchises just do not create an experience of customer. It's on experience . Meaning how was the food? It was OK. How was the service? It was OK. How was the atmosphere? It was OK. The next time you go out, you say to your dinner date, what do you want to go for dinner? She says let's go to the place. That is just OK! You know where they measure you food portions and measured drinks, and sets way in the back corner for dinner. Then they can bring us computer to Check ourself out. I can see this place is empty. They're forgetting the most important person in the business. That is the customer,. The manager doesn't even visit the table to make sure you had a good experience. Before long people stop going to places that are just OK! Oh, by the way, they have a menu of seasonal specials and we order off that menu... shocker, sorry we don't have that item out of stock at 6:30pm POOR MANAGEMENT is the issue here. I feel like I'm being really nice and giving this place a four-stars but I'd really give it around 3.8 if I could divide the stars. Went here with my family and got the barbecue Jumbo shrimp and spinach dip. The jumbo shrimp were just super mid at best very chewy, nothing great. The spinach dip was pretty decent as well. When we got our appetizer plates, all five of them had some type of icing / food on them that didn't go through the cleaner. For dinner I had the Tuscan chicken I thought that was pretty decent but again just nothing that blew me away the macaroni that came with. It was also very bland. The place is super nice inside and has a really good bar selection. I'll definitely give this place another try to see if the rating will go up or down. I'm new to the area and have been looking for local dining options. I came upon the Thirsty Lion and decided to give it a try. The decor is modern, the restaurant bar areas are very clean. I didn't have a chance to look at the menu before going in, so the Asian options (I love my Asian cuisine) on the menu felt a little out of place based on the pub's name. I guess I was thinking the menu was going to be a nod to traditional British pubs. I did end up ordering the Brussels, quinoa, and roasted chicken salad, which was tasty. The portion size was decent for the price as well. When I first sat down at the bar, I was acknowledged and was informed someone would be there in a few minutes...I appreciated that, and I was attended to within 5 minutes. My beverage and food orders were dropped off in a reasonable amount of time (the bar was full and there were some larger groups that n the restaurant so I expected a little bit of a wait time). So far, so good. However, once my food and beverage were dropped off I no longer received any service (besides the immediate 'how is everything?' as soon as the food arrived). I kept trying to get my server's attention to refill my water glass - nothing. However, he did service the 2 groups on either side of me multiple times. I finished my salad & 1/2 of the beer (I've never had a sweet tasting Hefe before -wasn't my favorite), and tried to get my server's attention - or the attention of any of the other 2 people working behind the bar - to ask for my check for about 7 - 10 minutes. I was completely ignored. I finally got another bartender's attention and asked if I could get my check, which he said he'd get. Several minutes later I see him at another station chatting with some of the servers (I made eye contact with him, but he just blew me off). I was FINALLY able to get my server's attention and got the check. I was on the fence about this place when I initially walked in. I'm sure if the service had been on point I would have like it (it reminds me of a few places I've bartended at over the years). We went here on Friday March 7 around 6pm. We were seated right away but no one seemed to be our waiter and it took a while before anyone noticed us. Eventually we got a waiter who was very apologetic and took our order. So our food came out and my grilled chicken with a side salad was bad! The chicken breast must have come off the smallest chicken ever! Not only small but cooked to death. It was terrible! My friend's French dip sandwich was edible but not great and the French fries were cold and sparse. This was not a cheap meal our waiter never came back until he brought our bill. On a recommendation by, and chaperone from, a friend I had lunch here while in town for a weekend. Their offering checks all the boxes! As soon as you step inside, take a minute to look around. The interior is neat! A big bar in the middle, plenty of seating, and a patio that can be open air and host live music. It's a great space. Then settle in and try to decide on the menu, it's tough! They have so many options that all sound great! And are great! The club sandwich I had was very tasty and I washed it down with a delicious specialty lemonade. YUM! They do have a decent-sized menu, I'd suggest you browse the menu online, prior to getting there. I must agree with some others, I feel they are a bit overpriced compared to other eateries like them. I wish they had a menu with more variations than a plate full of carbs, but thankfully, you can make some changes to what you order. I ordered the white cheddar bacon burger w/out the sauce and bun, it was delicious. NOW, the salad w/ their homemade ranch dressing, that made me want to SLAP someone. It was SO good and I mean, GOOD. So GOOD, I ordered a side salad with their dressing to go. Try it, you can thank me later! I must CHEER for our waitress, she was the real VIP during our visit. I met up with a friend I hadn't see for a year and I tell ya, we both can TALK. I kid you not, we were there for 5 hours. YES, 5 hours! In most places, they bring you the bill and after you pay they disappear. In this case, she made sure we were still taken care of and continued to check on us periodically. Went here for lunch yesterday and absolutely adored it. The food was amazing. The ramen was authentic and hot and most definitely worth a try. I got the grilled Atlantic salmon which was spectacular. Our bartender, Ky even asked if we needed any extra sauce so I got some extra of the sauce that comes on the salmon to put it in the rice and it was A1. Both beautifully presented as well. They have a great selection of beers and wines, so you'll have no problem finding your favorite or even a new fav. I got the passion fruit mojito that I would recommend to anybody, it is probably a favorite for me now. Ky was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The vibe was impeccable. We came here for Sunday brunch. This place is brand new, clean, and humungous! I was in a great debate between the omelet and the smoked chicken salad. I finally picked the healthier option and got the salad. The smoked chicken salad was very fresh, colorful, and had lots of vibrant flavors. The chicken was well seasoned and had a good (not overpowering) smokey flavor. The salad was good, BUT they don't give you much chicken at all and I couldn't seem to find any avocado (maybe they forgot)!! I was hungry again about an hour later! Even though it tasted good, for $13 and change, I don't think I would get this again! They do offer a lot of other appealing menu items, I have heard their chicken and waffles are good and there burgers. I might go with one of these options in the future! I walked in and went to sit at the bar where I was greeted immediately by the bartender who was extremely helpful. I ordered the fish and chips which were good and got the French dip to go which was just ok. I had the brownie w/ vanilla ice cream for dessert which was overkill. The pizza, really good with a really crunchy crust, I've been really into trying out restaurant Caesar salads and this one was perfection!! Jalapeño pepper jack burger was huge so delicious. Drinks TOP NOTCH! One CON here, waitress kept taking plates and drinks away that we were not finished with yet, taking them away without asking 1st.
